  1. Just make sure your kids birth certificate is the one needed by Carnival. From Carnival's website: Birth Certificate Information The following are acceptable: An original or copy of a birth certificate issued by a government agency (state/county/city) or the Department of Health and Vital Statistics A clear, legible copy (photocopy) of a birth certificate that was originally issued by a government agency (state/county/city) or the Department of Health and Vital Statistics. The copy does not need to be notarized or certified. Birth Certificate Card A Consular report of Birth Abroad Internationally adopted children (under the age of 18): If the adoptive parent was not issued a birth certificate, we will accept as proof of citizenship, a Certificate of Citizenship by the U.S. and adoption paperwork. A Certificate of Citizenship is issued by the U.S. once the adoption is finalized. Guests may obtain a copy of a birth certificate by contacting: The Department of Health and Vital Statistics at: www.vitalchek.com. If the guest has laminated their birth certificate, it is acceptable.
  2. I second John Watling's. They give a free tour then parents can have a delicious pina colada (best I've ever had) and the kids can have virgin ones. A food truck is there if needed. Turn right as you exit John Watling's driveway and walk to the corner. Turn left and walk maybe a block. To your right you can look down a charming street with a chocolatier, a winery, a beautiful hotel and a cigar shop. After that, stroll on down the hill back to port. Have a great cruise! PS The Pirate Museum is dark but my DD's (at the time 6 and 😎 scared at first then delighted when they saw a stuffed goat. Go figure! We had fun that day as well!
  3. That New York Sour with the 1/2 ounce of red wine floating sounds interesting! May have to try that at Alchemy this Thanksgiving cruise! Thanks for posting the link🍸
  4. Awesome!! 2 pounds is great! Are you planning on reviewing the Scarlett Lady? If so, would you please post a link on this thread? TIA!!
  5. Awesome review!! And I agree that people working for tips should be friendly but what even impresses me more are people that are friendly that don't get tipped. When I would go through the McDonald's drive thru (bad, I know) when I could hear the smile in the "can I take your order" person's voice coming through the little speaker box, I'd turn to my DDs and say "that's good customer service". Then when I'd get my order and another person would look me in the eye and say "thank you" or "have a nice day", I'd roll away singing out "that's good customer service". And if they got my order right? Frosting on the customer service cake! So looking forward to your next review!!
  6. When DH and I were living in Los Angeles, we attended a formal function held in the Spruce Goose I think like 1990. We spent the night in the Queen Mary. I had never been on a cruise before so I thought "hey this must be cruising". Little did I know I would become a cruisaholic. 😅
  7. I know, I was mystified as well. Went to my library of photobooks I make for my cruises (especially when the DDs were little🥰) and there it was. Who knows why Carnival stopped at a RC island, but they did. Nice loungers!
  8. How was the steak? Big discussion on steak on another thread.
  9. My DH and DDs sailed out of JAX on Fascination Jan 2014 for the chilliest cruise we had ever been on! We upsold to a Grand Suite (very exciting, included a tub that my youngest DD used everyday!) and we had a great time! Even stopped at Coco Cay which was the first port we had ever cruised to. Flash forward to May 2022 and I took myself and my DDs on a cruise out of Mobile on Ecstasy. Loved our secret stairwell right by our aft balcony cabin up to Serenity! We had a wonderful cruise to Costa Maya and Cozumel, and my 20 year old DD got to order a margarita legally for the first time while on land! Good times, great memories!!🥰
  10. Especially for the crew that work outside! I've done it and it's not fun. So happy they have the choice now!
  11. "Before I fell asleep, I said a prayer thanking God that I can’t eat like this at home. The amount of food that I’ve consumed in these few days is outrageous. I can’t help myself either, and W’s definitely no help! He’s always right there with me, eating like we just got paroled from prison. This is dat hood rich hood rat level of eating." Still laughing!! You are soooo funny and can see and express a viewpoint that few can. Looking forward to more....
  12. And if the excursion doesn't show up, it wouldn't hurt to ask at the Adventures Desk on Embarkation if there are specific excursions available. You could be waitlisted.🤞
  13. I would feel very safe taking the tram to RW by myself.
  14. Bimini in my opinion is more GT-ish. Twice I have booked the Carnival excursion to Resort World (just the beach, not the pool) and had lounge chairs and an umbrella for me and DH. With my mom, we set up in a clamshell on the deck and that was great as well. The tram takes you there, easy peasy. I have heard the "free beach" doesn't have facilities and chairs are more expensive than the RW chairs. We split a chicken quesadilla for $16 and it was plenty for me and mom. Hope that helps!
  15. My account is with TD Ameritrade and no fees and it was pretty easy to set up. Good luck!
  16. I forgot about that! I felt the comedian thing was kinda uncomfortable for everyone. Maybe that's why my brain erased it from my memory. Too painful😉
  17. You are as bad as me! Together we make Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman😉
  18. Don't forget the return of the Flaming Tomato Soup!! Yum!!
  19. Club soda is great with a splash of juice and booze. Straight champagne (bubbly wine) is low in carbs as well.
  20. You were at the port terminal and another passenger stole everything from the bottom of a stroller? OMG! Did you get any sort of future cruise credit? Sorry this happened!
  21. Mom and I were on MG last October and the MDR food was quite mediocre to bad. Service was great! When were you on MG? TIA!
