  1. I've seen that on youtube videos. For some reason they can't figure this out. Time to go look for the food trucks. A lot less waiting time
  2. same thing happens at the other end of the spectrum. Just human nature.
  3. yes it was a smart choice. Those prices are crazy but if they are filling the ship with those prices more power to them. I know I wont be paying those prices.
  4. This could have a negative effect. Seeing all the bells and whistles on Icon than booking on Legend which have zero bells and whistles. A nice ship with a nice PSR but could lead to a big letdown.
  5. I think that is what the bribe stuff is about. Apparently as you stated getting to diamond gets you the 4 free drinks per day. Since Carnival doesn’t offer anything like that in their loyalty program the poster considers that a bribe. I am one point short of Diamond myself with Royal. WhenI get there I get there. 😀 not much of a drinker so the “bribe” doesn’t really sway me. Their ships sway me just like the Vista and excel class ships got me to come back to CCL.
  6. You sure seem obsessed with this bribe stuff.
  7. I guess you'd really be in trouble on an Oasis class ship. You'd probably need 1/3 of the ship and that would probably be plenty.
  8. OK thank you. Just trying to figure if I'll be sitting in the terminal for 2 hours. Either way I'll survive. Thanks again🙂
  9. Gotta agree with 100%. Our next cruise on CCL we already have 3 specialties booked plus wifi and bubbles packages. Also have a Havana cabana booked. Still don't do suites. lol We used to cruise on the cheap when the kids were young and money was scarce. There are no cruise lines bribing anybody.
  10. How strict are they with boarding times on MSC? We are leaving from NY in June and we are driving up with my sons family since parking is so expensive. on the MSC app it says their boarding time is 10 am but ours says 12 noon. If we get there at 10 will we have to sit in the terminal for 2 hours after they board? TIA
  11. Oh ok i messed up. Thought we were talking about Horizon. 😀
  12. Thanks for that info. It's a good thing the person at the port let her cruise with it.🙂
  13. fair enough but I gotta add that even though my stubborness would keep me from booking CCL again there isn't that much in the loyalty program that would keep me coming back anyway. As I mentioned above I made Platinum in took one cruise with CCL after that and then cruised other lines from 2011 until 2020. What brought me back was the Vista class and Excel class ships. Gotta love those Havana areas.
  14. are you saying the passport was expired or it had less than 6 months left on it?
  15. I was Platinum under the old qualifications with only 72 days. We started cruising CCL back in 1998 and cruised almost exclusively with them. Then we branched out and din't cruise with them from 2011 until about 2020. So you think I should have been kicked out of the loyalty program. They kick me out I'm just stubborn enough to never cruise with them again. But then again they only want blue and red cards on the ship so I guess that would work out in Carnivals favor.
  16. Yes im still learning myself. Think it would be silly of CCL not to try to retain as many customers as possible.
  17. You might find the food a bit different from when you last cruised on CCL in 2016.
  18. Glad to hear that your problem is rectified. Sounds like TA #2 is a keeper. Agree with you 100 % about the lack of training.
  19. Sounds like they arent ready for prime time on Royal.
