  1. Macallan oh I remember it well. They did make a foam heart shape on my cappuccino for me and there was no up-charge for doing so, just a gratuity.
  2. So if you make a reservation at a nice restaurant, say for a month from now, for a special celebration and you really loved the menu you saw on their website. In the interim, the cost of lobster, filet or a particualr wine is more expensive or perhaps not available when you sit down to dine, should they have notified everybody that made an advance reservation?
  3. You are going to enjoy your cruise and your Retreat team is going to enjoy you!! You certainly have the cruise lifers "number" and you have a great sense of self deprecating humor. Bon Voyage enjoy the PH or Icon or whatever suite you will be in!
  4. Sounds like you're announcing a subway stop...
  5. Well not a hotel, we did have a cruise that was cancelled which we included air by Celebrity, seats had been selected etc. Once Celebrity cancelled our cruise, we were refunded everything, air included, it took 3 or 4 separate payments credited back to our card, but we never had to ask them to do it, it was all done automatically. Good luck, I hope they handle the same for hotels booked by them.
  6. I don’t know how you would ever get 30 items in that little bag unless it’s all socks and underwear. Rolling is your friend
  7. No malicous intent, just pointing out the mark up in what Celebrity refers to as "premium" wine, and for the record, when I did drink, it did not bother me in the least, when I would see a wine/drink I wanted, I'd order it, it is what it is and I am on vacation. Also consider, on my cruise this past fall, I had to pay for the premium bev package, as it was included in my booking, and I did not have any alcoholic bevs. I did though drink them right out of Pellegrino & Perrier sparkling water, cappuccino, espresso, still felt I got my $ worth from the premium bev package. When I did drink and ordered wine by the glass at a restaurant, I'd typically pay $15-$20/glass And yes, def bring a couple of your own bottles, and esp if you spend $60+/bottle at home...that will be some very very nice wine
  8. It's OK, the pastries at Il Bacio are amazing, I spend more time there than I do in my room
  9. Solo cruiser here, cruised Edge TA in Oct/Nov. had a marvelous time and was treated so well.
  10. Not much more than a coffee shop? Not my recent experience at all, while I only ate lunch there twice, it was delightful, IMO an upscale venue for lunch. It was not crowded either time I was there, once it was close to 50% full the other time maybe 7-8 tables occupied.
  11. so you mean if one applies rational LOGIC (like you did) to their situation it can work!
  12. literally take going through 10 years of history of my postings: Oh no need, I have resolved that today will be a positive day, for some reason I sense 10 years of posts could negate that, Speaking only for myself of course,
  13. They can't tell us yet, but just wait, once they are able to share they will drop the scoop here. I can't wait 🙄
  14. Yikes, I'd not go into HELP mode quite yet, you can easily resolve this on the ship, just check with any one of the MDR's and they will easily asssist.
  15. This is perfect, it's almost like they planned the menu for my personal preferences. Thanks for sharing.
  16. Honestly, I think you are correct about the intent, at least the original intent. The demographic they are primarily marketing to now is not the CC demo, our ship has sailed so to speak. TikTokers, Tweeters, FBers, Instas and whatever other social media is out these these days. CCers are a very very small percentage of folks that sail on ships, I hve no idea what the actual percentage is but I'd hazard a guess and say it is in the 1% range.
  17. It certainly is. In commercial real estate leases, RSF includes the restrooms...cruise lines do the same, it is called maximizing the investment and is included in space per guest equations
  18. well at least you can know that you gave them a lovely gift
  19. as well to deploy the staff to the benefit of ALL crusiers on-board rather than catering to just the CC people that think this is a all that
  20. As long as they have pasta and salad then I am good to sail!
  21. Thanks, I appreciate your experience and perspective. I was referring to E-class as you note and have only sailed Summit once and that was quite a few years ago, I think 7 or 8...
  22. If you have not done so, you might want to try their stemless wine glasses. A lot of vinophiles will say nay nay to stemless, but if you can get past that part, no more worries about the fragile stemmed glasses.
  23. There is a vast difference in "reading" these boards vs actual personal "experience" on board the ship. Lord knows if there aren't oatmeal raisin cookies avaialble at the exact moment someone glides by in the OV cafe or the freakin lemon tarts at Al Bacio are a tad smaller than they were the last time someone cruised, they are going to be on the CC mountain screaming all about it.
