  1. I will venture to say that worrying about the appearance of other is highly judgmental. Adding in hairy legs, armpit hair and nose tufts, talk about a stretch. Some people like conformity, some like just plain good people not matter how they dress or what others think about, just ask Dolly Parton.
  2. I wonder if people who wear shorts in the dining room are better tippers?
  3. Shows are usually 7:30 & 9:30, though some have said on a particular cruise they have been 7:00 & 9:00. No reservations needed, just show up and take your seat. Not really round per se as in seats are not all around in a circle, rather more of a semi circle, the Edge theatre is lovely and great acoustics, the house band is fantastic
  4. Yes it is, quite obviously, which is why I did not say I did it in 3 dyas
  5. Ahh, OK, that makes sense. Yes it often is cheaper to book for two, I sail solo sometimes and my expereince is it is almost always cheaper. Unless you can find a special solo rate but apparently they go fast.
  6. Having just completed my first ever TA, we had 8 total sea days, 2 between the last port and 6 that followed back to Florida. I am very glad I did it, overall the cruise was lovely, but having the first 2 sea days, then a port and had that been followed by just 3 days, would have been perfect. Like I said though, very glad to have done it as it has been a vacation to do for a long time.
  7. You should consider taking a look at Oceania Med cruises. I have been looking and just recently booked a 7 day Med cruise, May 2023 and it was $4k LESS than Celebrity. I love Celebrity but cannot justify such a big $$ difference as such I will shop around always for comparison, at least on the ships I know I'm willing to cruise on.
  8. Some travel first aid kits have a small supply of cotton balls and Q-tips in them
  9. I did a behind the scenes tour on Edge, several were taking video. One person asked before doing so and was told it was fine, the other followed suit.
  10. I guess for me, it would have to be what the specific complaints are about. There are real world complaints and there are CC complaints. The lack of a type of cookie, reduced pastry size, increase in daily gratuities, type of OVC pasta, room service charge, furniture design(er), increased beverage cost, and I don't drink alcohol but still worthwhile because I drink tons of sparkling water, smoothies, cappuccinos and lattes which makes the convenience of the bev package well worth it. Now a unclean ship, horrible service, bad specialty restaurants etc. could change my mind. Though I would have to experience it for myself and not rely on another individual. Reading through many (most) of the other lines boards here, there are a myriad of complaints, though none as loud (right or wrong) as RCCL & Celebrity.
  11. Ok its the eggs causing the increase, now its all making sense
  12. They didn’t ask about other ships, they specifically said Beyond
  13. Not being able to order from MDR’s when dining in Luminae is not an opinion, it’s fact.
  14. Our TA told us that in Luminae we could order from ANY of the menus on the ship. This is not accurate, there is too much distance between the kitchens. Dress code. I am seeing mixed on that too. Is there one "chic" night on the 7 days? Do I understand that nice jeans/khakis for men with a polo or button down would suffice? This will be perfectly fine. Enjoy your cruise!
  15. Thank you for what you do, I am sure in your profession many people benefited from your expertise these past few years. Everyone has to do what makes them most comfortable, whether it be wearing a mask or not, of course if required/requested, I wear one, no questions asked. On a cruise ship though, I do not feel any less safe or vulnerable than I do on land in my day-to-day living. I ride the subway 2-3 days/week, go in a restaurant in the city to pick-up takeaway lunch, supermarket and on and on and on, no mask. I suggest I am far closer to the passenger seated next to me (or standing over me) on the subway or on-line in any establishment I happen to be in and frankly I do not notice if someone is coughing or not, I didn't before COVID either. I'm vaxed and boosted, total of 5 shots now I think. I'm not getting any additional shots though, I believe I have one of the long term side effects I have read about, though I'm not overly alarmed about it if those are what I have. If it ever comes to having to now have whatever the latest booster is available, I will forgo whatever it is I wished to plan if that becomes required. When I travel, land or sea, I purchase travel insurance and pay the additional premium for cancel for whatever reason.
  16. But what happens when you agree to disagree…with yourself?
  17. not by my choice Didn't you say you reported the thread??
  18. How is it that if someone does not agree with a post and states that and explains their reason, they become a "hater"? I can't quite figure that out.
  19. The pool in my condo complex does not allow alcohol, me and my Yeti have found a way around this rule, and yes no alcohol is posted at the gate to the pool, but like shorts in the MDR, the times they are a changing...
  20. It's lots of small cuts here and there (which I agree do start to add up to something bigger). This! Especially it seems if one is not in the Retreat or an upper suite.
  21. Seriously the nonsensical stuff out of one’s control to feign indignation about 🥱
