  1. Looked at their price..staying with continental...much less...
  2. You have to call to get the reduced price...it is not shown on line...
  3. lets just hope that with all these savings, O doesnt cut back on all the things we love...food, service, activities...and the big O points...lol....
  4. of course but to 19.50 ...that is insulting...yes it is only 1049pp...less the port charges, and we dont know what those are.... with that kind of rebate, I would just deal directly with O...
  5. just saved 1700 pp on the sept 7 alaska and 200 pp on the sept 20 pacific coastal did it with the TA, she did this very grudgingly and all I got for the second one is a rebate for 19. 50, hardly worth it to do it with an agent... thank you to the original poster for the heads up for all this...and all the people who were very encouraging to go forth with it... it wasnt easy, those of you who have a long relationship with wonderful agents, have a much better time doing this....
  6. well the O rep said I have to go through my TA to get the price...so here comes the run around... last time I did that, the TA did not know anything about it, then said we would lose the deal we presently have... I have never been able to benefit from a sale...very frustrating... you guys are amazing at this, Im just a rookie.....
  7. amazing...that you are able to do this....I just do not have that kind of know how...but trying to learn as we have 6 O cruises going forward and are paying hefty prices for them.... O is our line of choice, hope it stays solvent...
  8. ah I see....ok...thank you....you are a wealth of information....and thank you for helping.. all these details....some have a phd in all this stuff...amazing...
  9. wow... yes have to watch...but even then very difficult....once you booked to have it apply to a new sale....have to keep repeating, "lowest price guarantee" but even that only applies to on board bookings... you need to be a very savy O consumer to know all their ins and outs...
  10. so the way I understand it is that on line, the prices are still the same, NO saving.. to get the "extraordinary sale price" you have to call and speak to an O rep, or look at the booklet some got.. why so convoluted, why cant O just change what the prices are on line for all to see and ease of booking... wish I had more time to book some more...we dont go away in the summer and already have 2 booked in sept and a long one in nov....and december now to use the "best price guarantee" to get the sale price, then deal with the agent who will undoubtedly reduce the cash backs..... difficult...hope it is worth it in the end.... I am of course referring to existing 3 bookings...not new bookings..
  11. Ok will get in touch with an O rep today. Thank you to everyone for the heads up.
  12. If you have turned over to a ta can you do the calling yourself to see if there is a price change. Sept 9,20 and Nov 19.
  13. Ah yes... Guess I will be asking for them on all the questionnaires to be filled.
  14. I will look for it there but will miss the way it was prepared in Jaques... What about French onion soup and crepes, where am I going to get that?
  15. Good...will be on the marina in November 23 and October 24... Yes we were on the Riviera in the Carib in Jan. Beautiful ship, excellent food but now she is in Asia. No plans here to go to Asia. Too bad Vista did away with my fave.
  16. Where will I find French onion soup, dover sole and crepe suzzettes?
  17. Been to SF, during better times, don't need to visit a city that's so beat up...and don't need your sarcasm either..save it for the criminals and the homeless...
  18. would gladly do this one, but we are off to alaska on the regatta and added the LA to LA portion, but will not get off the ship in San Fran..and its an overnight......not the chaos, that city is in...wish O would substitute this port for something else in CA, but what?
  19. Yes and now if you use O air and accept the flights they give you, there is no deviation fee for going in earlier. For those of you that have 15 loyalty credits with O , how does this new policy affect you. Have you just lost a loyalty perk?
  20. I'm too lazy to post all our cruises... 3, Oceania cruises in the last 12 months, Terrible Viking, March 16 to April 3, using up covid credits.. 6 more O cruises booked bet Sept 2023 and May 2025 and will book 2 more when the new itins come out... Yes, we want the O loyalty ... As long as health allows, we will travel.
  21. We were elite plus on Celebrity as well, nothing but Oceania for us now. What You get as elite plus on Celeb, is all included on Oceania.
  22. I think I was clear why I would not sail Viking again. It was the star, but others we met at the airport, said their V experience on different V ships was disappointing as well.
