flying from Toronto to Barcelona, nothing direct, where would you chose to have a stop over? and of course at least 3 hours.... Newark, Frankfurt, Heathrow, Lisbon the first two were voted as the worst for delays and cancellations.... would you fly Air Lingus and have a stop over in Dublin? would you fly TAP airlines? we have usually done Air Canada but it and our airport have become the worst in the world.... all opinions welcome....

anyone ever take the train...from Mia airport to fll airport? tri rail..... but uber from port to fll airport may be the way to go, save the fee for the transfer from ship to airport..go directly with uber to FLL..... how easy is it to get an uber at the miami cruise port after the cruise?

We dont need insurance...have our own... as for gratuities, hoping to accumulate loyalty with O and then will not need that either....hope that if an agent gives it because it is available through their consortium, O will give us something else, like extra Obcs instead.....

no not every TA...and it is sporadic...some bookings the prep grat was available and some not... some agents have given us a 5% rebate and some more... some are quick to respond and some dont respond at all..... it varies...I have not yet found one that gives max rebates and is really responsive...maybe you cant have it both ways...if they trim their earnings to a minimum then they have no time to be responsive...so you pick and chose what is most important to you.... I almost take it for granted, that if an agent gives me a large rebate...anything 8 % off or more, they really wont have time to do anything else for me...like when a sale comes up and some of you got your agent to reduce the price of your existing booking....ours would do nothing more for us...

our agent gave us a good deal initially....we booked a B3 for jan 4... 750 off 6000....plus the consortium had prep gratuities...but .when the labour day sale came, he was not willing to do anything more....so you are fortunate that you have an agent that was willing to reprice your existing reservation... we are on a cruise this november...I will be talking to others and gathering their recommendations of agents they recommend......

Was anyone able to cancel and rebook? If yes, did your agent honour the original perks they gave you? NO way with ours. So we keep our B3. Just too great a difference to move up a few categories.

the sept 2024 itin is 13 days, not 12...and has a much better itin....not interested in San Fran at this time...but yes not getting a 4 cat upgrade ...both are all available....so maybe there will be another sale for the one in Sept...meanwhile I will book it a month before our next sailing with O to get the discount and reduced dep....not as great as a 4 cat upgrade though... thank you for bringing the May one to my attention...

the whole point of taking a carry on is that it does NOT get checked in....then risking waiting for it for a long time or risking it being lost... Air transat goes against the most common measurements so they can charge you extra.... fortunately I have a carry on that is under the required dimensions....I did a trial pack and was amazed how much I can get in there...I am almost looking forward to the experience of going with only a carry on and a knapsack...yeah for 15 days...

we are all booked up for the next two years...only have Sept open...and the Alaska itin we are interested in is not on sale...will book it on Oct 19, that is 30 days before we sail in November, to get the perks....

you can say all airlines...but no denying, Toronto airport voted worst in the world several times in a row.... even good airlines are totally off their game because of the chaos at the airport....planes sitting on tarmac for hours...luggage seen lying around the tarmac...etc...just horror stories.....

guess experiences vary..depending on whose story you listen to... .but our Airport...Toronto, has won the dubious distinction of worlds worst airport several times in a row....WORLDS...can you imagine...terribly mismanaged...I could post horror stories..but I am sure you are familiar with them....we have no choice...could drive to Buffalo...but will just go two days ahead and hope thats enough....

oh yes agreed.....that is why we are no longer on Celeb...love O....and hope to accumulate significant loyalty within the next couple of years.... yeah will be scouring for a good TA...ours is very generous with rebates...but that is about it....hard to find a combo for both....

thank you...but made a decision to take a smaller one... was AT on time...no delays? we are going 2 days earlier to BArcelona just because of the chaos with flights.... will do AT stopover in Montreal....thought it was better than doing AC to newark...newark is a zoo ...and toronto is a nightmare...but have no choice...we are here...

wow, didnt know it would be so difficult... we are relatively new to O....only 3 cruises....50 with Celeb....have RCI shares, only took a day or two and the response would be direct from Celeb...no need to bother the TA.... this is certainly different to say the least....

yes sent my TA an email to get us something in writing.... he should have done that without me having to ask....we cant just assume it is there if we have no way of proving it.....

ah yes...not the right place to post this... and you are right...not willing to take any chances....have a smaller bag and will use that... thanks to all....

anyone use Air transat with a carry on? how strict are they with the carry ons...hate to buy new luggage over one inch.

I went to "manage your booking"...but there is nowhere that says view credit....so there is nothing on the account for me to see.... all I have is a letter from my TA saying that we got it...but no other info.... guess I have to get the TA to give me an updated invoice....otherwise I will have an issue when on board....
