  1. They gave you the special tags. Hope we meet along the way again. I continue to refuse to print tags and check them at the pier.
  2. You will need to clear your browsing history cache. Shutdown and restart your device. Might be easier to visit local library where they can walk you through the process.
  3. Suggest going to your rollcall where transfers are discussed and many arrange to share. Also the ports forum. Lots of companies offering a car service to Southampton.
  4. Elder care facilities love quilts and afghans. Have 87yr old relative always bundled up in her afghan. We always try and find afghans, sorry we live in Arizona. No snow and ice here.
  5. Cocktails are covered on the classic package including frozen. They can create almost anything.
  6. Omeinv's post is great No E- visa in hand and you could be denied boarding. Much like Australia, be careful to go to the official government site to avoid paying a bunch of unnecessary fees. Do not worry about a return ticket. Indonesia just wants to be sure you have a way to leave. Your cruise ship is your return ticket for that purpose. PS, you are definitely on a scam site. No bank info is required. Only a credit card to pay the fee
  7. Have a couple 4 star restaurants nearby. Both using potato chips as a garnish on Mac and Lobster andcother dishes instead of panko or breadcrumbs. Guess it is the new gourmet. I agree a bit strange, but that is what it is.
  8. Welcome to Cruise Critic. You likely would not be able to move the reservation again. Is your booking through a TA or with Princess? Definitely ask them, but for sure not logical they would reduce the penalty on a rebooking by moving it out a year and canceling. You will have the same booking number I would find a good date and move to that cruise
  9. Wait till you are on board. 2 or 3 tech people on board every cruise to assist with exactly that. Sort of like looking at menus 6 months ahead. Late afternoon on boarding day we go with friends and handcthem our phones. No stress.
  10. We linked our reservations. When it unlinked called Princess to fix. When the Princess system on board crashed simply went to the restaurant together. Was sorted in under 2 minutes. The maitre d at each restaurant were. very accomodating. The apps, both old and new on my phone are, IMO awful.
  11. Agree. Went to guest services and an officer discussed it with the smoker. Telling you cabin attendant is not the best way. Not their job. I note except for the balcony smoker and a slight whiff in the casino never smelled smoke. Smokers in the casino save me money as I don't stay there and try to cross above rather than walk thru.
  12. Haven't cruised your area in a while. Suggest besides examining your Roll Call - post you are interested in private tours - do an internet search for Cruise Ship port tours. Am going to Spain this fall and Spain Day tours has lots of offerings that are excellent as an example. Last, want a company where you either pay when the tour begins or have a history of refunds if port stop is canceled AND more than 1.5hours from the port would probably opt for a ship's tour. As one that organizes tours in the US - not for cruises- really simple that costs are up some 40% since 2020 and a booking company adds about 20-40%.
  13. I note that excursions showing as sold out means little if well before your cruise as many will cancell the excursion or the cruise. Also note via the roll call there are often lots of private excursions. On a recent Norway cruise there was one or more private groups for all 8 ports. Lots of private companies offer excursions. Often exactly the same for less. Last, I book with a TA. Almost always get refundable deposits and OBC.
  14. Try asking guest relations if they can set up a second Folio for your cabin.
  15. When is your cruise? How many people on the reservation? Are you trying to change one name? Or everyone on the reservation? If very soon and everyone on the reservation, I would call my TA and explain the situation. Also email executive office if told no.
  16. Works fine on my phone today. Did need to uninstall and reinstall the app a few months ago. Android.
  17. As discussed. It is a 6-8 acre compound surrounded with chain link fence and barbed wire. A security gate to enter or exit with armed security. Shops etc set up inside.
  18. Since the Medallion only works with the app; are there people that do not have a smartphone? My provider hasn't shown a phone without texting and email in years. That said we simply show up at the pier about 10:30 or so. Always on board by 11:30 except for the time they had police involved in a fight on the pier. Boarding was delayed an hour. Love the comment the check-in window ends! Stupid. Show up at 1-2pm and you can walk directly to the check-in desk.
  19. You need to go to Share Perks. App only. Could use a friend's phone or use a computer at your local library. Lots of helpful people in almost every town could assist.
  20. You might try the roll call. It is forecast to be windy to very windy today. Last night it was calm. They are about 6-8 hours ahead of the US.
  21. Washing and drying was free for the last week as the token machine was empty or broken for 2 days. Guest relations handed out tokens. We always bring a few laundry pods as the powdered detergent left white residue. Easy to put in checked bags inside a baggie.
  22. Not unusual. Uninstall and reinstall the app. Cycle your phone/computer turning it off for at least 30 seconds. Clear your browsing history. Princess site is very difficult sometimes. I give it a couple tries then simply call them. Showed up at the pier with the confirmation from my TA and Princess. Nothing else. Sorted at the pier.
  23. What is the issue with a code share flight? Except for Southwest the main airlines are American or Delta. If you are going overseas you will have a codeshare flight from Arizona to LAX/SFO/ATL/DFW operated by Delta or American with the international flight operated by whomever. There certainly is a hassle if you need to deal with seats but that is for many cities the only way to have one ticket.
  24. We always go with our free pass on a port day. Would I pay for a daily pass - yes. DW - no.
  25. It has varied from port to port and cruise to cruise. You cannot depend on being allowed to drink it on board. The only in Portugal have we always been able to bring wine (Port) on board.
