  1. We simply write our ship/cruise details on 2 pieces of tape with a Sharpie marker. One near the handle and one on the side. Also put contact info inside the case. We do not bother with tags from cruiseline. Check them at the pier. Have had cases show up a couple days into a cruise. Never permanently lost. Agree putting ships tag on your bag is a good way to have either theft or confusion at the destination airport.
  2. You need to be stable and handle pretty much everything yourself on Princess. Dialysis and cruising as said do not mix well and treatment if things go poorly will likely not covered by regular insurance and often are excluded on travel policies.
  3. There are several companies that rent scooters. We contacted guest relations and they provided us the names of a couple companies.
  4. Did the email say 2024? Figured out there are millions of reservations involved. Expect the system to crash unless they roll it out month by month.
  5. The. Current promo will be followed by another (similar). As long as demand continues at record levels there are not likely to be any real deals except to fill last minute csncellations.
  6. You can certainly ask. Was told no deviations since covid last March. Things do change and they charged a fee in the past.
  7. Yes there were irritating light strips in our last cabin on Coral. We mostly covered with a towel
  8. There have been several posts about this. It is forbidden to take food off the ship. Especially things like muffins and fruit from the buffet. I would pack some granola bars that are commercially packaged and bring them from home. Produce is at the top of the prohibited list for transport between countries and even from one state or province to another in some cases.
  9. Way to early for shore excursions to be listed. On our HAL and X cruises to Norway had additions and some deletions even after we sailed. We ended up.doing 4 private tours and Flam Railway thru cruiseline.
  10. Check out travel sites for your port. Then narrow choices to meet your taste
  11. Let special needs know your needs a couple weeks before you travel. They will provide what you need to make it work.
  12. I agree with you on most everything. Except in the US wages for food service employees varies greatly. In at least 6 states food service workers have the same wages and retirement and health benefits as every other employee. In some places the minimum wage is $20 an hour and received by all.employees. In others it is $7.25 and a waitress (tipped staff) could earn as little as 4.25. Last, a comment specific to my home state. Lower income families are eligible for free medical insurance with deductibles that are $10 or often zero. Parents need to simply sign up their children. Sadly almost half do not. Thus if in the US, one might Google wages for where they will be visiting. A tip might be be appropriate for superior service, but not being served a cup of tea.
  13. You will want to walk off. 11am will be good if something weird does not happen. We have had Customs and Immigration have the "blue flu" and getting out of the terminal take 3.5 HOURS. A fatal.accident on the entrance road to LAX. We walked about a mile to get to the terminal. And of course had a hurricane delay our arrival in Miami. 11am is reasonable. If domestic would book 11am, especially if a later flight was possible.
  14. You can book as soon as a cruise is opened for booking. The exact time will vary. Elite do get a day ahead of others. My TA can book ahead most others in their group block. A cruise selling out in minutes? Really. If that was a concern and I knew the ship and date I would let my TA handle it.
  15. For the general schedule - port times etc - simply look at a current cruise with the same itinerary. Should be very similar. For activities on board again a current planner will show a general.schedule. For evening entertainment not likely you will know until shortly before boarding as entertainers often change.
  16. Am a bit skeptical that everything will: Be in place on June 17th The app will work properly on the 17th. The app will be able to handle the hundreds of thousands of dinner reservations. How many booked, but before final.payment will be frustrated that day. Communicated by Princess before thec17th in an email to every TA, CVP and passenger exactly how to navigate the new procedure.
  17. Yup. Only one. It is a full bus and passengers arrive a few on most flights. Transfers from Venice to Ravenna are expensive if booked for just a couple.
  18. Important you understand that each of you purchased the upgrade. Thus each of you has every included item.
  19. We were able to get seats in Sabatinis any evening on a Christmas cruise at 8pm. Agree the kitchen at the specialty venues could not handle a full restaurant.
  20. You seem to have missed the message that customer service is mostly gone. Tour operators have more business than they have seats. Cruise ships are full. It isn't just Princess. My DW told me to be "more accepting of change or stay home." Not happy about that, but everywhere pretty much the same.
  21. Also depends on your Captain's Circle status. For us cannot usually book until.90 days before we cruise which is final payment. Note one you pay in full your cancelation penalties increase.
  22. Are you asking a question? Like some others we love sea days. Great opportunity to disconnect and slow down. We mostly do 14+ day cruises. As for ports missed for other reasons. Medical evacuation caused missing some 8 ports in 30 cruises. At least 4 ports missed due to civil unrest or armed conflict. One port because entrance to harbor blocked by a cargo ship that sank. Then of course some rescheduled or deleted before the cruise began.
  23. The ships deployed to Australia change often. Celebrity 5 changes in 19 years excluding Covid and guessing Ptincess the same. Was told by X that some of the issue is crew related and increasing issues with NZ immigration. As for cruises 18 months out being csncelled or Changed; agree other transport changes more often. Flights from AZ to Great Britain in August has changed 3 times since February- expect more. There are other different issues in cruising out of Australia including labor, immigration, ports etc
  24. No. There are bag storage locations at BOS and easy light rail from the airport
  25. Same here on another ship. Beautifully divided into portions suited to DW and myself.
