  1. Blimey, a pint of cider or lager in my local is £6. Mind you that is on the sea front.
  2. Have done several of these cruises, but mainly in Feb and March. However, I would have thought that there would be plenty enough snow in December.
  3. Should have Priority Boarding bottom right of pass.
  4. Yes. Bronco, Bronco, tear it across the dotted line! Better than Izal though!
  5. Love Warnemunde. Not keen on Rostock though.
  6. Always remember going to the outside toilet in my Aunt's terrace house. Cold, no washbasin, spiders, paper squares on a bit of wire. We knew how to live!! Never complain now.
  7. Not necessarily. My single balcony on Arcadia last month was almost as big as the double my two friends had, however, I paid nearly the same price for it as they did for theirs.
  8. Solo price is 170 to 180 % of price quoted. And you only get half cabin obc.
  9. Don't forget, too, that one can get norovirus (and other stomach upsets) whilst ashore, especially when eating in places without washing hands first. Not always started on board.
  10. I have had three, one for each of my cruises this year. Just ignored them as I have no special needs, yet!
  11. Still the same last Xmas.
  12. They don't. We get half price laundry.
  13. Enjoy!
  14. On Arcadia now. Sad to hear Martin Sharples is leaving for Queen Vic at end of October. He is a great captain, always praising his crew.
  15. That is probably the Peninsular lunch. Embarkation has always been Cinnamon or Saffron.
  16. Usually Cinnamon or Saffron restaurants. You will find out at checkin or ask when you get on board.
  17. Tap water is the same as you get in the restaurant and bars. Tinned stuff tastes, surprisingly, tinny!
  18. Tap water is fine. Just chill in your fridge. No need to buy it.
  19. Yes. BBC coverage is mainly studio talk and repeated events. Better coverage on other channels.
  20. Really cannot see wind and solar providing sufficient energy required for electrification of everything.
  21. Reduit Beach was lovely years ago. Ruined now. Best to avoid beaches used by cruise ships. Plenty of nice ones you can do on your own.
  22. Another Summer day in Devon. Tipping down! Best weather I have had this year was Baltic in May! Iceland/Norway next week. Might have a heatwave!
  23. Not to mention the power stations needed to supply the electricity for all these ships, cars, trains, homes, industries, etc, etc.
  24. My partner's renewal quote from Direct Line was 70% higher than last year! Just renewed with AA for half the cost!
