I grew up on a sailing ship. Dad at the wheel, up to his knees in water (self draining cockpit) and me being sick down in my bunk. Not much phases me after that!
I have seen anti social behaviour on all ships, including Cunard and Celebrity. Drink is usually to blame and, thankfully, these incidents are not commonplace. Best to avoid the pub and pool area!
Think there will always be a demand for adults only cruises. Not all pax on the two small ships are elderly and they are very popular. Virgin, I believe, are adults only and they are aimed at the younger "party" crowd. Not for me obviously!
I have been on Aurora 3 times this year and boarding Arcadia today for the third time this year. Love both ships (despite the cost) and hope they are around for some time yet. If one were to go, I think Ventura would make a good adults only replacement.
Same on Iona. Horrendous noise at night. After a few sleepiness nights I went to Reception. Huge queue of people all there for the same thing. Gave up! Never heard anything like it on any other ship.
Hope she is looked after. Noro has been prevalent on all ships this year. Bad on Ventura last month, and on Arcadia a couple of times. Tender ports missed, parties canceled, etc. as a result. Just got to live with it like we did with covid.
Lots of lady waiters in MDR on my cruises this year. In fact, have noticed many more ladies working in cabins and bars too than there used to be. They are lovely.
I cruise mainly on the two smaller ships as a solo. They are popular so can be very expensive, particularly for a balcony cabin. Even so, their cruises seem to sell well. If Aurora were to go, I think they could fill Ventura as an adults only ship.
