  1. No - there is an "alcove" on the wall across from the sink that we used for storage. We brought a a "collapsable basket" to store our bathroom stuff in. You can store stuff there with or without a basket. A basket gives you more storage.
  2. We stored 3 suit cases under the bed on Mille in a Sky Suite in April. Also, bring magnetic wall hangers. We put them on the wall across from the couch. We had 6 of them (purchase the stronger ones on amazon). I used the cabinet under the TV double door (bottom shelf and middle shelf) for my clothes. My husband used the 3 large drawers and the shelves in the closet. We used the cabinet next to the desk for our back packs etc. We placed the dirty clothes in the suitcase until we sent a bag off for laundry. Ask for extra hangers for the closest and your butler will bring them to you. We shared the hanging closet. We brought a collapsable container to place on the back shelf in the bathroom. I do like the storage better in the bathroom in Aqua class. There are more drawers in Aqua but are much smaller than the Sky Suite drawers. The Sky Suite is larger than the Aqua class cabins. We were on a 15 night cruise on Mille and it was comfortable for us. We have also done 21 days in Aqua Class and made that work too.
  3. We were married at the Banff Springs Hotel 35 years ago. I threw my bouquet in the the Bow River. We did Sulpher Mountain, Lake Louise and Moraine Lake - then did the train to Vancouver. We love your pictures - it brings back such wonderful memories. Thanks for sharing!
  4. Me too! We can pack much lighter now 🧳
  5. We don't even make the JV team maybe not even the Freshman team but it is sure fun trying out! 2019 - 17 nights on the Solstice 2022 - April - 11 nights of the Eclipse Aug/Sept -14 nights on the Mille B2B October - 21 nights on the Solstice B3B 2023 - April/May - 15 nights on the MIlle Future - August - 14 nights on Mille October - 17 nights on the Solstice November - 10 nights on the Equinox
  6. Book it! I loved it. My husband and I did it in April - would do it again in a heart beat.
  7. I had 2 that had shown up in my profile but were removed from my profile a couple months ago. Like you I was concerned and wrote an email. I was assured they were there and was given a contact when I wanted to use them. We just used one 2 nights ago - no problems. Just don't miss the expiration date that is on your certificate and have the "reservation" number handy.
  8. Just booked B2B Alaska this August. We have done suites many times with Celebrity but the price was right for an inside cabin. Suites on Alaska cruises are not worth it in my opinion. To cold for the balcony/Retreat outdoor area for the amount of time you spend on them. Never experienced - "not catering to categories lower than a suite". Looking forward to being in the bilge - the price was right.
  9. Our experience - we have had a wonderful time on Celebrity in the past 14 months since we returned to cruising. We sailed on the Mille x 3, Solstice x 3 and the Eclipse (first sailing after covid), mostly longer cruises or B2B. Was there an occasional hiccup - yes. Did it ruin our cruise or feel the need to post it on cruise critic? NO! Looking forward to our upcoming 17 night cruise in October. Before I take a poster seriously I look at their past posts. If all negative - I ignore them. Some criticism are warranted but many -- not worth wasting my time reading. Different strokes for different folks that is why having a choice is a great thing. Constructive criticism is good thing .....complaining is something entirely different matter which I choose to ignore.
  10. I like your post - most folks here have probably never worked in the restaurant industry and don't understand the seating so many guest at one time starts another sets of problems they aren't aware of. Maybe they don't understand the "owner -Celebrity" has the right to try and to work thru a problem for the best solution for staff and guest. Celebrity tried to get the best solution - sometimes it works - sometimes it doesn't. Life was never meant to be fair. "Life is is too short". When life gives you lemons make lemonade.
  11. The "coupon" they gave you when you booked it will have the amount of time on it and your reservation number. I have one that we have 18months to book. Just email a copy of your "coupon" with the reservation number and expiration date on it and a receipt of your deposit and Celebrity will fix it for you. I would also ask when they plan to release the cruises for that time period. Just did the Panama Canal east to west and love it. Hope you get the cruise you want!
  12. Wow - I bit the "bullet" in Juneau last year at Tracy's as a belated B'day gift. I loved the crab bisque soup.
  13. Trying to upgrade on board for a "bargain" price is a thing of the past. Move Up Bid prior to sailing is the way to go -- unless your booking agent doesn't participate. I have scored some great deals with Move Up Bid on some of our sailing and unsuccessful on some of our others. We always pick a cabin we will be happy with our original booking. As for loyalty -- our last cruise at least 10 crew members greeted us by name and welcomed us on board and bent over backwards to make sure we were happy. Several were from different ships we were on. That's the loyalty I enjoy!!! It felt like coming home. Can't wait for our next cruise!
  14. Not a big specialty coffee drinker but might try them if its free. We are not a big internet user so the increase in time is no big deal. The 20% off drink package would be a preferred item if we didn't book AI. Will have to examine the costs. We are light packers so the laundry is appealing to us. It's the small thing in life....LOL. We generally sail on the longer cruises or do B2B. We like to be on board for at least 14 days.
  15. Same for us - we only need 30 more points and our cruise this month for that 2nd bag of laundry!!! We have a 17 day cruise coming up in October and that 2nd bag of laundry being Elite Plus would come in handy!Book another cruise or pay for the laundry.....hmmmm
  16. We were on the Eclipse 1st sailing (after covid) a year ago Vancouver to Hawaii. The ship was in great shape. We had an Aqua class cabin and the cabin was great. The carpet was a little old in our room but clean. Linens were great, draperies were great. She is an older ship but well kept. I know there was another poster who hated the ship but in my eyes they were nit picky over trivial things. Different strokes for different folks.
  17. See you in October - waiting on pins and needles for this answer. We will be on Millie in 18 days - I will try and check it out for you.
  18. Maybe it was the same guy...we were there in August. I guess his since of humor is -- scarring the passengers.
  19. Funny story - I do believe you pass US C+ I when embarking. My husband and I were waiting in a quick moving line and an Official, in uniform, pointed to us to come to his counter while everyone else passed by. He stated our passports had failed. The horror on my face and stuttering of my voice "they aren't expired" - must of made his day. He quickly apologized and stated "you didn't press hard enough when scanning your passports we just need to rescan them - I didn't mean to scare you". My heart rate quickly went back down!! Moral of the story - press on your passport when self scanning them in the machines!
  20. I stand corrected. You are right! Was on both the M class (Alaska) and S class this past year. Sailing on the Millie is a couple of weeks and looking forward to the solarium pool.
  21. The solarium pool is more of a relaxing. There are rollers on the side to lay and relax on and warm water spouts to make you relax. I do believe they have the daily time for families from 4:00pm to 6:00pm. It is a swallow pool with the water a little over waist deep.
  22. We love the French Onion Soup and find it very consistent on different Celebrity Ships. Looking forward to it on our next cruise. With that said come to Breckenridge - the new French Restaurant on Main Street has the BEST French onion soup we have ever had. The soup and a glass of wine is dinner for us.
  23. Elite Plus gets you 2 bags of laundry.....we are so close but yet so far!
  24. You were gambling and hoping to get a "better cabin" than what you paid for. At least it is early enough for you to make a change. That is better than getting your cabin assigned 3 days before your cruise and not being happy with it. If you don't like the cabin, call you TA and most likely you will have to pay for the upgrade. Most of the cabins will sell out prior to your sailing. We did a guarantee once - assigned a not great cabin - so we did the Move Up Bid and that worked out well for us - but that is also a gamble. With this being your first cruise I would book a cabin you want and "bite the bullet". Happy cruising!
