Thanks for the info on grapefruit and meds - sister avoids grapefruit due to her meds, but really likes it. I'm going to suggest she research to see if there's a "safety zone" for hers. -

Nice picture. -
We ate there in Sept and don't recall seeing anything about a charge for 2nd entree. The fried cheese was the best we ever had. The chicken was huge; it could easily feed 2 people.

We had croissants last night, not homemade, but they were good. The meal sounds good and would go well w/croissants. Not been to the port. PT today - Shoulder aches, but it continues to move more; hoping surgeon says it's enough to move ahead to surgery. I know the rehab is tough and I need to be far enough into it that we can go on our May cruise. After canceling the March one, I don't want to miss another one. 😪 Currently 50° headed to 75°with rain this weekend. The yard probably will not be dried out by then. Prayers and positive thoughts for all.- 110 replies

Venezia in Sept fridge worked very well. We weren't able to get an ice bucket, but brought a collapsible cooler just in case; Steward kept it full. We used the cold fridge and ice - sister has to have her ice.

Gift cards to on line pre cruise purchase
Haljo1935 replied to msweezie's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
Yes, I've done it. You'll just need internet and log in to AARP to purchase as usual. Then take the number and pin to Guest Services or use the kiosk. Safe travels - enjoy your cruise! -
Yes, they can be merged. You cannot do it yourself (as you probably figured out) and it will take a call to Carnival.
-
You don't wait until the end; it's around day 3 but varies based on length of cruise. So, you or your wife goes to Guest Services on day 1 or day 2 and ask what day you need to come back to have grats adjusted. They will tell you when to return. Adjusting grats does not necessarily mean removing them - adjusting can be up or down. Safe travels - enjoy your cruise!

What error message(s) are you receiving? You're able to log in - is it just the check-in portion that is not working? Like Kazu said, sometimes using a different browser helps, but I would also like to understand how far into the process / booking you're getting.

When we were on Nov & Dec, World Stage shows were 6 and 8 pm.

Thrilled to see you arrived - and so easily and early! Excited to read your adventures. -
I've not pre-ordered online, but given the quality I've seen (and received) onboard, I think they would be equally lovely. The book at GS is usually quite large, showcasing a nice assortment. You can also order directly from the Florist at his presentation. Just tell him colors, flowers, price - whatever you want him to consider when making your arrangement. Just reading this thread makes me smile. Good job, HAL, on having a top notch floral "department."

Quick Snorkeling in Croatia area
Haljo1935 replied to ted burke's topic in Other Mediterranean and Black Sea Ports
It was a small port. There was evidence of previous buildings, for sure. I don't recall seeing new construction. It was a tender port, looked fairly new. Not the usual jewelry shops - had a more local feel, which we prefer. Lots of statues and the trash bins were artsy. The port had stray dogs The winery & olive oil farm was a drive through typical small, old streets away from Sarande. Not saying we'd go back, but it was a pleasant enjoyable day. The food and wine were great!! Up at the winery were cats. -

Bubble Wrap Day? Meal sounds good, maybe on the drink and wine, not been to the port. Just spent 2.5 hours on the phone w/TA and HAL changing a booking - sometimes TAs complicate things. They did the original hold wrong so we couldn't use CO for the cabin upgrade & have to pay for the aft cabin. That really bites as it's a lot on this cruise. Then when I get the confirmation from the TA, pass #2 is wrong, so I'll have to call back. Good grief! Weather app says it's currently 52° but sure feels colder. Headed to sunny 72° - what a change! Things sure need to dry out and soon. Prayers and positive thoughts for all.- 100 replies

Forward or Aft Suite on an Alaskan Cruise
Haljo1935 replied to kchamp27's topic in Cabin Selection Tips
If you're looking at the side aft rather than true aft (wake view), deck 4 is priced higher because the balconies are deeper than on 7. -
Quick Snorkeling in Croatia area

LOVED Dubrovnik, Split and Trogir Croatia. We were there just a couple months ago Oct/Nov 2023; the weather was mostly gorgeous w/some fog and rain. It was still crowded - I guess the tourists didn't get the message it was off season and to go home. Architecture is wonderful. Sarande Albania was a delightful find - fabulous wine and olive oil tasting. One of our favorite ports. Bari was another top port. Kotor Montenegro - Captain told us the day before to be someplace w/a view for sail in the next morning as it had the most beautiful fjords he had seen in his career - it was spectacular. Quite enjoyed exploring the city and got fresh fruit from the street vendors that we still talk about.
