It's only 77, headed to 97 - grateful to be in double digits with no triples forecasted. 😊 I have no choice but to open the suitcase - the Venezia is leaving in a week with or without me, I prefer it be with and with a change of clothes.🤫 Therapist is going to give me a plan to follow for the 2 weeks on the ship when I see her Tues; I hope she celebrates my new achievement - I was able to reach the light switch yesterday!! I know DH is beyond excited to see me doing more and relying on him less. He is not going on this cruise (I'm traveling w/sister) and has asked several times how I plan on doing certain things. Prayers and positive thoughts for all.

Gotta say it - hope your mom doesn't see your early posts - you aren't supposed to tell a lady's age 🫣 This sounds like a fabulous trip - I will try to follow along daily, but I leave Fri (wow - less than a week now!!) for B2B on Venezia out of NYC, so will have to play catch up occasionally. Also doing a R/T Rome late Oct that may cause me to miss a few days, but I will read it all. I know you're going to have a great time and I'm excited to read about and see the pictures. I'll say happy birthday now - your mom must be thrilled to spend your special day together in such a wonderful way. Definitely a birthday to remember. 🎂🥳 Also gonna say this now - be very careful in Barcelona - I hear the crimes targeting tourists are rising. There's definitely a lot for you to see there, just be smart and stay safe. Have my first TA in late Nov (Rome->FLL) so I will be very interested in that portion of your review. I so don't want to complain and be the Negative Nellie, but this weather is just nuts. It's after 10pm (as in nighttime) and 93 degrees!! I've been listening to the a/c run non-stop, so I checked the weather. I should not have done that as I'm now all wound up. New rule - no checking weather after 8 pm unless the alarms are going off. Wishing you all better weather ahead - I know it's bad in so many places.

Because HAL doesn't charge those prices.

I'm on that same cruise - Venezia NYC Sept 16 - fingers crossed. Booked it Dec 2021, yes almost 2 years ago. So I've got toes crossed, too.

Yes that usually works, but not on this one. It's been escalated to Supervisors who have not been able to add it, either. They say HIA is not combinable with that cruise rate.

HIA does show as you say; however, when I click on it, there are no names like you would usually see and there is no rate showing. That's always the 1st hint that it's not going to be able to be added - no rate.

Oh thank goodness - I was running out of nails to chew!! All is right w/the world again. 🫣

@blacklab16 Welcome back!! As others have said, additional tipping beyond the dailies are not expected, but are appreciated if you choose. Yes spa, dining, bars all have 18% automatically added. You can add any additional amount (again, appreciated but not expected) by putting it on the slip (they'll have a skip for you to sign) or in cash. Don't feel pressured from these threads to do one thing or the other - tips are covered so long as you don't remove them - just follow your heart and enjoy your cruise!!

We've decided to bring along the little creamer "pods" and just carry a couple to breakfast each day. Hopefully they don't get confiscated and help us get the coffee down, lol.

I'll play - pass on the drinks, just water w/lemon tonight. French onion soup, Ceasar salad, Chicken cordon bleu sub green beans for the peas (love that HAL will do that), finishing w/lemon meringue cheesecake w/blueberry sauce (the bluerries pulled me in). Yummy - thanks for having me over!
