  1. I didn't but it was close due to flight delays the next morning. It was the 2nd time ever I thought I might honestly miss a cruise. The other was also due to a canceled flight from the previous day. So my "day befores" have been rough. In addition to going out 2-3 days ahead for European cruises, I try to do non-stops. As much as I don't like the loooong flights, I don’t like the risks involved w/layovers.
  2. Well we know who that is and I'd say she's no "traditional agent" 😉
  3. As usual @0106 your pictures are stunning. I think I will suffer withdrawals when you close out this Live 😒
  4. Beautiful picture - you picked a good one to share. Thanks!
  5. I have never seen a special for laundry. And the price is no different if you buy in advance or on the ship. Safe travels- enjoy your cruise!
  6. Good for horror movies and annoying people you don’t like, not so much for a relaxing cruise. That water looks pretty rough, do you feel it on the ship?
  7. It's kinda like PVP is tasked with getting you ON the ship Casino dept job is to encourage your spending once you're on.
  8. DH was just talking about this last night. He was on a plane deploying when they received orders to stanGrenada. Know I know why we do not look at itineraries that include Granada.
  9. PVP has never given us anything other than a bottle of (entry level) champagne on birthday or anniversary if we had it noted in the booking. Casinos are completely different financial structures and budgets.
  10. I'm generally an early (very early) morning of person except distant foreign ports, where I do 2-3 days prior. Last cruise (Dec San Diego) I squeezed the wallet and booked flight day before; I was rewarded by AA canceling the flight ✈️ and an airport sleepover. Sooooo worth it 👀 my nails have still not grown back.
  11. I cranked the volume (immediately regret that) and hit play - dog shot straight up out of my lap and barked. So, I guess she shares your opinion.
  12. I have to think that just not having the Slamming Door makes this an upgrade.🙄
  13. This! When cruising, life is good even if the tea or coffee is not 😉
  14. I completely agree about Lido and MDR coffee, but have enjoyed quite a few cups from Explorations and GDC.
  15. K'dam Dec/Jan not one MDR dinner were we out in less than 2 hours; first night or last made no difference. PG service was a tad slow, but significantly quicker than MDR.
  16. @StLouisCruisers very nice pictures. I see that castle 🏰 was built in 1522 - I'm sure it was worth a peek. @Nickelpenny eeks and haha on your roommates - wonder if they knew you were hosting a pajama party? That is scary though, what if you'd walked in to find them instead of their luggage?
  17. Don't drink milk, but cook with it - short notice to hop on a plane and no access to a dairy 🐄 cow, but here's how to celebrate the day. If someone can do an extra milking for me, I'll read a book for you 🤭 I will enjoy a glass of wine today and need some batteries - our supply box is out of AA and low of AAA; try to never run out 9 volts since that's what the smoke alarms like. Pass on the chowder, yes to the drink made w/vodka and the wine, not been to the port. Important days in history. @ger_77 I wish we had Tim Horton's here - haven't had any since Dec when our NS tour in Malaga Spain stopped at a place w/Tim Horton's. The Tour Operator gave us a heads-up about it and most on the bus asked what it was. I asked how they can get a TH in Spain but we can't get one in TX?! Was very happy to see Baby Murphy's graduation picture - what a fighter she is!! Currently 32° headed to 55° with a sunny week ahead. Yard guy asked yesterday if we are ready for him to come mow - not unless you're draining the backyard; he says he'll wait. Weather app was showing 30° but as I clicked on to do a screenshot it stuck in upload. When I reopened it, it showed 32° so I guess the 30° was the temp when the app froze. Prayers and positive thoughts for all. 🙏
  18. Hey @Mary229 I always have excursions moved from CC to OBC as soon as I'm onboard and am glad to hear you were able to do so w/no issues. Congrats on getting tickets for a waitlisted tour. MDR service was painfully slow Dec/Jan - sounds like that's still a struggle. It never got better, but the food was good. The deck 4 obstructed verandah I had was looking over a lifeboat, not into one - is that what you have? It was the first time I've been in one. It was different than the aft wake view I usually have, but I really didn't mind it since my view wasn't blocked at all. Would love to see a picture if you can share one. Would also like to see a picture of the newly designed tote when you receive it. I normally don't use them a lot, but I really gave mine a workout on the HI cruise going to the Thermal Spa and library a couple times every day. Safe travels - enjoy your cruise!
  19. I believe so - Rome->FLL; I was there and kept wondering when the exams were going to be passed out.
  20. Oh yes, I've had that happen. I probably should have said the check in is on the lower level but actual dining could be on either 😉
  21. Small world (no pun intended) - I went to college in Moorhead MN. The blown glass pictures were spectacular - please tell Patti good job!!
