  1. Everyday? Was the gathering organized by Celebrity or individual veterans?
  2. I have always requested and received the Veteran discount on every cruise since Celebrity started offering it.
  3. @js. Never mind. For us reaching Diamond was better than reaching Diamond+ and we still enjoy the DL/CL.
  4. We were on the Eclipse in October and the same set up in the gym as our March Apex cruise.
  5. You might feel differently if you ever get to Diamond.
  6. On our March Apex cruise there were always 4 Pelton bikes set aside for non class use in the gym. There are more (don't know how many, a lot) dedicated only for classes. I do not have a Peloton account and used the bikes everyday.
  7. Princess gives the veteran an OBC. Celebrity gives the veteran a discount on the cruise fare. With Celebrity you have to request the veteran discount for each booking. Unlike with Princess once you are in their system the OBC is automatic each time you book a cruise.
  8. I know. I had tp pinch myself. I know I could resell it but I have no desire to. I knew you would recognize and appreciate my find. Excellent condition too. My guess is whoever used it must have had a nice kit and probably used a 7A stick or even brushes. Unlike me. The guy I bought it from doesn't even know how his parents ended up with it as no one in his family plays drums.
  9. Could be worse. You could be subject to the annoying Princess Love Boat song Princess blasts.
  10. No. You may consider it a B2B cruise but Princess doesn't when cruising two different ships.
  11. We respect (as we hope must do) all the different disciplines keeping the ship running and giving the passengers excellent service. Housekeeping once a day, not a fan but it is what it is. We realize they all work very hard at what they do. But we do expect simple request (s) to be honored. Time of day(not those time slots are full you get no choice)extra towels, ice, etc. We make it none of our business how many hours a day they work or how many cabins or tables they have or what their pay is. That's all between RC and their employees.
  12. Check in 45 days prior to your sail date. Documents/luggage tags 30 days prior to your sail date.
  13. Saturday I was heading home and passed a yard sale. So I stopped. I never do that. Anyway to my surprise sitting on a table was a Turkish Cymbal in really good shape. A Classic Light Ride 20". I asked how much, $40.00 bucks. Sold. Nice sound.
  14. They would have heard a resounding, "no way" from me. I would have requested to speak with the Head of Housekeeping or the HD. We wouldn't be stuck with a service time we didn't want! RC needs to add what time you want your cabin serviced pre cruise. Like requesting a dining time pre cruise.
  15. Agree. Morning for us with extra towels. We wouldn't be stuck with a service we didn't want!
  16. We had a Veterans meet and greet on our 8 October Pacific Coastal cruise on the Eclipse. Hosted by the CD on our sea day and well attended. Check the Celebrity Today for when, where and what time for your cruise.
  17. Nope. We were on the Eclipse 8 October on a Pacific Coastal cruise in a regular balcony. Evening pillow chocolates every evening plus two each on both chic evening.
  18. Based on the two choices, IV. We prefer to pick our own stateroom, floor and location. We don't do guarantees.
  19. We been at different embarkation ports where there was a wait and we were seated in areas by our tier level. Most recent was at San Pedro and we were seated in an area for Elite and Elite plus and possibly Zenith (?). Boarding was also by AC, CC and tier levels first. Still on the ship by 11:20.
  20. We were surprised as it was a first for us. I guess there can always be an exception. The MD stopped by all the tables in our section of the MDR the evening before and was advising everyone about it. For our cruise weather was never an issue. We've done cruises out of Fort Lauderdale and Miami on Celebrity with late afternoon arrival times into San Juan and the MDR was never open on those intinaries.
  21. Agree about the Caribbean itineraries. I should have been more specific.
  22. The MDR and the OVC were open on our 8 October Pacific Coastal cruise for lunch on our way to San Francisco. We were scheduled to dock at 1:30 PM (actually docked at 1:00 PM). That was a first we've experienced that. Have no idea when it closed. We had a 'burger at the Mast Grill. Delicious. Cooked our way. Ate them in the OVC.
