  1. There is currently no traditional dining on Princess. One may make a reservation or you just show up. The new program that’s been going on for a little while now, it’s called dine my way. So basically anytime the dining room is open you can dine in there, no reservations needed ,but you can make a reservation and you can switch between dining rooms you don’t have to go to the same dining room each night and you can get a different table every night.
  2. Dhanakorn- Great live from. Great details and photos. Enjoy your cruise .
  3. Thanks for the update on your situation . So frustrating to hear that Princess dropped the ball and now you can not get a hold of your go to person for guidance on how long you are supposed to be in the Seattle area hotel. Do please post when you get a chance of everything that you’ve been through just helps others see what to be prepared for. Seems inconsistent at best from passenger to passenger. ,ship to ship. i’m thinK it’s 5 day isolation,( count test day as 0)then go about your business, masked. Test on day 5 or when you get back home. Were there other Covid + cruise passengers and their traveling partners with you from Vancouver to Seattle? Hope your symptoms are mild and go away quick and your plane ride home a good one.
  4. Yes check your flights. I just looked at SWA earlier today to see if any Of my upcoming flights are cheaper and I noticed a travel itinerary change for one of them. They have my email address and they also have my text phone number and I was never notified. Luckily they change for free when that happens, but now I have a two hour and 40 minute layover instead of a five hour layover that they gave. So definitely pays to check with all the airlines because Southwest certainly did not notify me
  5. TracieABD- So the flourless chocolate cake is still on the 1st night dessert menu? I know it’s different looking now then in years past, but I thought it went away. It’s one of my favorites. Thanks.
  6. I thought John P. Was now the President since fall of 2021 not Jan, perhaps i’m Wrong?
  7. See if you can find a thread Live from the Ruby prior to yours and see if somebody will post the Patters. Here’s prior Patter times In the Princess theater whether it be a production show, a comedian ,etc. Of course there’s other stuff going on in other venues like the marriage game. The production shows on Ruby are Colors of the World and Stardust. 7:30 PM to 8:15 PM and 930pm to 10:15 PM and then I’ve also seen 7pm to 7:45 PM as well as 9 pm to 9:45 PM and I’ve also seen 8pm to 8:45 PM and 10pm to 1045 ,so as you can see it changes from cruise to cruise especially with the itinerary. I believe with the new dining program that once you’re on board if you decide you don’t want the reservation you currently have ,you can change your reservation to another time to coordinate for the shows that you do want to see.
  8. For those of you in isolation in your cabin ,I was reading on another thread someone that had tested positive on Princess quite a few months ago said to make sure that you’ve got all of your medical records from the ship before you disembark. This is going to be needed for reimbursement/claims. They had to jump through lots of hoops to get it after they got home ,because they didn’t know they needed it until they filed a claim.
  9. Sweetrosie-glad you can do the rest of your isolation at home in Canada. Sounds like communication from Princess was good for you. Thanks for posting.
  10. We’ll darn if that happens , I guess they ( Princess still doesn’t have protocol down for this yet) We’ll keep posting if possible and hope you get back home as soon as isolation is complete.
  11. WE’ll darn that you had to move out of your suite and into a smaller cabin and that while on the ship you’re virtually being ignored now that you’ve tested positive. Hope passengers just keep sharing with all of us what is happening onboard with firsthand experience. I don’t know what the Royals itinerary is ,but do you get off in Seattle? Or Canada? Not sure what all the rules are now ,they seem to be changing often, but seems like five days isolation Is the current trend. Well I hope somebody keeps in touch with you to let you know what you’re suppose to do when getting off the ship. All the best with your journey home and hope your symptoms don’t last too long . Of course it’s a virus, it spreads. if any of us knew when and where we got infected ,we wouldn’t do it again, but we’ve all gotta live life ,so on that note… I just find people asking that question .... Take care.
  12. Oops sorry .I just realized that the message right above mine says pretty much the same thing as I just said. I did not read all of them until I posted this. I did not know that the platinum, elite, suite lounge from approximately 5 to 7 PM was ever posted in the Patters.Maybe I just never looked for it. Usually if you qualify there is a card in your room that lists what food and what evenings it’s held & location of lounge. Usually when the captain circle party is going on they do not hold it. But maybe that’s all changed with the medallion? There have been times that there was no card in our room and we did ask our room Steward and they brought one to our cabin shortly after asking. As far as the disembarkation lounge we have mixed feelings about that usually there was never any food or drinks ,they were usually pretty well picked over but we’re not usually interested in food and drinks when we’re disembarking as we have just eaten breakfast. Depending on how many elites, platinum ,and suite passengers that are on any particular voyage that lounge for disembarkation can get pretty crowded.
  13. Weedpindle- sorry your cruise isn’t going well. There is a thread Live on the Ruby May 20th to May 30 already started. But understand that this is your post from May 10th, just wanted to let you know that there’s more people posting under the live thread .
  14. Aah sorry to hear that. So you tested your self? Had symptoms and medical center tested you? so you are still in original cabin or moved? Thanks for sharing your pictures and live from.
  15. I meant to say is there a time/ clock or digital read out on the cabin phone? I seem to remember military time on the cabin phone.
  16. The flourless chocolate on the first night was my favorite, I even requested a whole cake the next evening once to share. We’ll darn it is off the menu now.
  17. CRow9- great photos. Is there a time on the digital readout on the phone or have the phones changed? Usually out on deck by the pools I’ve seen a Clock somewhere ,but obviously not going to wake up in your cabin and go wander out onto the pool deck to find a clock. I always use a travel alarm clock ,has the time, the temperature and of course an alarm. Can never rely on your cell phone to update with the correct time out in the sea .
  18. My mom has been on Princess twice . December 2021 and April 2022 and they did their own tours ( like walking around) both times,so maybe this is a port decision? Depending on what country one is in?
  19. I believe these two pictures are of a Royal class ships. So the crown may or may not have the curtains that close. Perhaps you could get on a crown princess Roll Call for a cruise before yours and see if somebody is in a mini suite and can take some pictures for you . The couch on the crown may be slightly different than these pictures.
  20. Here are a few photos of a mini suite for 4 people ,not necessarily the Crown princess. Depending on how small your children are ,maybe they could both fit in the lower bed ?
  21. As you’ve heard other posts -yes there are iron and ironing boards in the laundry area on your deck. No matter if it’s a cruise or a land vacation I put all my clothes on wire hangers -pant hangers & shirt hangers ,hang them up in a dry cleaning bag and tri fold them in my suitcase. And Just like that, you take out of suitcase & hang everything up in the closet and you are pretty much unpacked . Carefully remove the dry cleaning bag and store it in your suitcase until ready to go home. Never have anything wrinkled but pretty much keep everything hanging up until the night before traveling and I never have any wrinkles in my clothes. If you never dry clean anything -I say go dry clean a couple items so that you can get a couple dry cleaning bags and hangers and you can reuse them over and over. I do it all the time ,that’s my tip.
