  1. Harry, if you follow the trail in the opposite direction to the one you show. (In red on this), it takes you to the dragon’s breath rock formation. When the waves hit the mouth, it sounds like a dragon breathing.
  2. Hey, that’s my cabin next January. We usually make sure we have passenger decks below and above, because they will not be subject to that noise. I don’t foresee the noise being a problem in this cabin.
  3. Were you able to get an Uber XL that fit all of you, plus your bags? We have ordered XL’s, and some that show up would not fit that many. Maybe you know a secret way to specify the number of people and bags. If so, please share that secret. By the way, congratulations to Rachel. Looks like you all had a great time.
  4. Agree. Wonder if you can at least request chairs with a reclining back and footstools? I know I will request when we are onboard. We have done that on other lines, and they have brought them. Even got a couple extra loungers brought in when we had an oversize balcony.
  5. I can see the video fine on my iPad. Just a note to people that post videos. If they are shot with an iPhone, typically the video will be a mov file. To make them compatible with most devices, it is better to convert those mov files to mp4.
  6. That doesn’t look good. Any report on what caused it? We had the cabin next to us on Coral flood. They moved all the furniture to the balcony, and they replaced the carpeting.
  7. I was sorry to read of the passing of your friend in Michigan. Prayers for the family. May he rest in peace.
  8. We have a Sony TV, and haven’t had any problems with it. I just checked the date on the TV, and it is 16 years old now. I keep waiting for something to go wrong, so I can justify getting a new, bigger one. My son bought his Sony the same year we did, and no problems with his either. Of course, we both paid much more than what current prices are.
  9. According to this excerpt from a Princess press release, it appears you can only book if you are on the first three sailings. ———————- Sun Princess guests sailing on the first three cruises can now book dining reservations in Horizons Dining Room, Sabatini’s, Crown Grill, Kai Sushi by Makoto, The Butcher’s Block by Dario, The Catch by Rudi, Umai Teppanyaki and Umai Hot Pot. In the coming weeks, all guests sailing on upcoming Sun Princess voyages will be able to book additional dining experiences. “With its unrivaled blend of creativity, quality, choice, and expertise, Sun Princess will set a new standard for food and beverage excellence,” said John Padgett, president of Princess Cruises. “Food and drink excellence is synonymous with experience excellence aboard Princess ships.” Delectable dishes are found throughout the magnificent new ship, with an astonishing selection of 30 new and signature dining and lounge options offering everything savory journeys and entertaining eats to sumptuous sips and satisfying snacks. Not to be outshined, Sun Princess elevates the main dining room experience with a three-story Horizons restaurant boasting stunning aft views that serve as the perfect backdrop for unforgettable dining moments. The restaurant gives guests the ultimate flexibility when it comes to their dining preferences by offering three dining options - traditional seating with two dedicated dining times nightly (Deck 6), reservations and open seating (Deck 7) or anytime dining/no reservations (deck 8).
  10. Is that line at 6, 7, or 8? Isn’t deck 6 traditional, set dining, 7 My time with reservations, and 8 walk up? Has anyone posted how any of those are working, or if they were able to book on the app?
  11. Today is Leap Day. I was supposed to be born on Leap Day, but wasn’t till six days later. I could have still been a teenager!
  12. We had that same weather, except woke up to light snow this morning. At least now the sun is out. Our grandson was sick last night, so we said we could watch him today while he is off school. Wasn’t here more than three hours, and Susan got sick, so she went home to bed. I sure hope I don’t get these flu symptoms. Susan has had it, on and off, for at least four weeks now.
  13. Someone said it was a Premium Deluxe on the sphere on Deck 10. That would be one of these cabins then.
  14. How about we add some information about the Captains that have been posted to the Star. This from the Princess news release on December 15, 2023. Santa Clarita, Calif. (December 15, 2023) – Princess Cruises announced the two captains who will serve as masters of the line’s second, sensational Sphere Class cruise ship, Star Princess, during an official keel laying ceremony in Monfalcone, Italy. Captain Gennaro Arma, who currently serves as the newbuild site lead for the construction of both Sun Princess and Star Princess, will be master of the 17th Princess ship when she debuts in summer 2025, bringing her into service from the shipyard. When Captain Arma is on leave, Commodore Nick Nash will take over the navigation and leadership of Star Princess. “It is my privilege to introduce and congratulate the masters of the stunning new Star Princess,” said John Padgett, Princess Cruises president. “Captain Arma and Commodore Nash have remarkable histories with Princess, and will provide great experience and excellent leadership on our newest vessel.” Commodore Nick Nash, a 33-year veteran of Princess Cruises, was promoted to the rank of commodore of the line’s global fleet in 2020. He currently serves as captain of Enchanted Princess, having navigated the ship out of the Fincantieri shipyard for the first time. Commodore Nash first joined the company in 1989 and was promoted to staff captain in 1997. In 2002, he became captain and has been at the helm of many Princess vessels. Commodore Nash also has served as President of the Nautical Institute and after two years now serves on the council. He was awarded the United Kingdom’s Merchant Navy Medal for meritorious service in 2018. He is a Chartered Master Mariner, a Fellow of The Nautical Institute, The Royal Institute of Navigation, The Royal Geographical Society and a Younger Brother of Trinity House. Captain Gennaro Arma has always been passionate about the sea. He began his career with Princess Cruises in 1998 as a Cadet and moved up the ranks achieving his first command as Captain of Sea Princess in 2015, where he navigated the ship on two world cruises. He took the helm of Diamond Princess in 2018 and in 2020 and was honored with the recognition of Commander of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic, the highest of the orders of the Italian Republic, and selected among the 20 most influential Italian characters of the year by Vanity Fair in December 2020. Arma has also received the title of Magister of Amalfi Civilization for the Byzantine New Year, the Emanuela Loi award for courage, and the Assarmatori prize from the Italian maritime association awarded by the Minister of Transportation. He most recently served as captain of Discovery Princess. He was born in Sorrento, Italy, where he lives with his wife Mariana and his son Diego. Star Princess makes her debut in August 2025, with cruises on sale now. 15. I guess they need to start somewhere to gauge the demand. If enough pay it, they will keep that price.
  16. There was this video of the Keel laying on December 11, 2023.
  17. Wonder what lessons they learned from the first build? I wouldn’t be surprised to see some aft facing balconies.
  18. Post some photos. We are booked on Deck 11 on the Sphere. Port side for us.
  19. Princess shared this video of the different cabin categories. IMG_0702.mp4
  20. A race to the Stars? Two ships, with the name Star, with inaugurals in August, 2025? Looks like Royal Caribbean gave more notice of their delayed inaugural sailing, according to this…… Delayed by 2 weeks While we're working hard on completing our newest Icon Class ship, Star of the Seas, and after a review of the work that remains to be done, we're unfortunately forced to delay the ship's delivery date. As a result, we must cancel our inaugural 7-Night Eastern Caribbean & Perfect Day August 17th, 2025 sailing. We're truly sorry for the impact that this delay has had on your clients vacation plans. The time and effort your clients took to plan their cruise is important to us, so we've put together some alternate options that we hope will work for your clients and those in their party. Option 1: Automatically move to the NEW Star of the Seas inaugural sailing departing on August 31st, 2025. This is the first ever Star of the Seas sailing, and we want your clients to be a part of it!
