I went back to Ollie's this morning, still looking for a small grocery cart type thing. No cart but I went to town. I got 4 small stackable chairs. 3 scatter rugs they had in the bath mat section. Once I bought a bath mat with rubber backing and it disintegrated from moisture and ruined the floor below. So I had treated myself to expensive microfiber big and small 2 sides mats where I moved from. Like a lot of stuff, they didnt make it here. These chairs came in 3 colors, but I'd already bought one at target in grey. They showed them around a glass table. I want some little light weight tables where people can sit out on the balcony with a cup of coffee, not a huge glass table. They had some little humps for 19.99 I think are meant to be foot stools for the different chairs they had. These arent as nice as the folding chair from target, these stack but are ok comfortable. I sit out and read, didnt want lounge chairs, though I guess some here like them. I just wanted something for guests to walk out onto the balcony and sit if they wanted. Was t sure what I think of these bath mats. I didn't want rubber backing. To get to my shower you walk past the double vanity around a corner past the bath tub, then the shower, then the toilet at the end. I was thinking if I slip on these tiles in wet feet, I'll wish I'd put something there. I have tons of towels, but thought these looked better than towels like hotels and the cruise ships use. Gotta accept mine from dallas didnt make it here. Better than throwing towels on the floor to keep from slipping on the tile floors? I got the middle chair from target, and 4 of these stackables from olllies just now, 2 pictured with the taller backed target chair that is actually comfortable for me, but I might have guests. I went nuts on their nuts. LOTS of macadamia nuts, some cashews and 1 bag of sunflower seeds. I've been adding sunflower seeds to my salads. We had Ollie's in dallas but none close enough I've ever shopped there. Now I need light tables to put drinks on, not huge glass tables. And yea it's a grey day outside. I'm afraid I'll slip and fall getting out of the shower.

I was watching the cruises release this past year releases for into 2026 and hoping for Bermuda from PC, nope. It almost looks like royal passed Bermuda stops to celebrity. 2025 I got enough booked, just oasis in 2026. I'd like Bermuda too.

I agree. I'm sorry I was 5 minutes late in January when I booked it. Carnival excursions show reviews and they were good for the ostrich farm. I always wondered why rcl doesnt show reviews for their excursions. I actually googled the ostrich farm and agree the fee to get in and taxi, for just me would be better through rcl. Adventure I'm booked there april 2025, and excursions are slowly dropping but no ostrich farm yet. I did snag a 3 hour north and south tour of bonaire. It's the one I've never been to. Only half a dozen excursions have shown up so far, for all 3 islands. I'd like to feed a ostrich. They peck your hand hard? Greg I want to come. We are having a party here july 4th where I moved and it says bring my own drink and I assumed like a coke... but I guess a drink could be alcoholic when they say bring your own drink. I didnt think of that. It rained here cats and dogs today. Looked like the windows of the balconys were fogged up but nope just rained that hard couldnt see anything. Yesterday stormed and lightening a lot and turned out to be a cat 0 tornado just south, took off some roofs. Being the top floor here, I can hear the rain on the roof. I like my neighbors and being up here, but can see drawbacks too. Why some here dont like living the top floor. One old lady said the bldg used to sway and they had to add more reinforcements to stop the swaying in the wind. I was surprised to hear the rain on the roof just like a house. 6/28 this year? Typically my TA has group prices but if it's this year, group prices would be gone, but he will have for next year. He can apply my balconys discount but has to be at least 4 months out. Group rates sell out and start getting recalled about a month before final payment. But even for this oct when I asked usa group rates were already sold out. That's a drawback imo to booking last minute.

Never had that happen on royal, just carnival has some odd shaped hc cabins where there isnt room to have beds side by side. If there is room to push together then imo I cant imagine why not.

In january by accident I did the submarine in curacao and some saw one small turtle. I missed it. To get to see more fish he put on a divers suit and went out and fed them and fish appeared briefly. I was supposed to go to ostrich farm and it had rave reviews, but I thought we met in the theater at 9, but it was on the dock st 9, I was 5 minutes late so for $10 more i did the submarine. Rather disappointing imo for what little we saw. I was expecting a large turtle not a tiny baby turtle. Just erased half of those picture yesterday but got a couple in curacao. If he didnt go out and feed them we wouldnt have seen as much as we did. I can cross that excursion of my list anyway, wouldn't recommend. I still want to see rhe ostrich farm, everyone who did that one said it was fun. I'm doing ABC on adventure april 2025, but ostrich farm hasnt popped up, watching.

I've quit a couple of years ago uploading photo. They keep taking a new photo anyway. I doubt it makes any difference that I can tell if you upload a photo or not before you check in at the terminal.

I just got a call from wellborn or some medical name saying they worked with my insurance company. She had important information to give me and was on a recorded line. She just needed to conform my date of birth to give me this important information. I said I dont know who you are or why you are calling, I'm not giving you my personal details. I refused. Finally she gave me their phone number in case I wanted to call back. I said call back and say what, that someone called and refused to say why they were calling? Would you give your date of birth just because someone said they were calling from a unknown medical named phone? .. with important information for me.

They have been wishing and hoping for rate cuts since the last rate hike last year. So far no rate cuts. Now they hope the fed will do one in sept. Last year they were predicting 6 this year. Jan and feb signs inflation wasnt tamed, just a few signs lately maybe under control. Many now are saying 2% a unrealistic goal. Allow more inflation, cut soon. More numbers on economy released this morning. Everyone keeps hoping for more progress than we are seeing. If carnival paying over 10% for their debt, that's more than a mortgage. Maybe they can get thekr credit worthiness improved to drop their borrowing rates. That's really killing them. If people cant afford a 7% mortgage, 10% + is a killer. I cant wait to see more debt paid off. Talk of dividends way too early, they just barely finally turned a profit. Patience folks. Give them time for a year's worth of profits first. Put covid behind them. They need to crawl a lot further out of their debt hole before even thinking of a dividend. Years ahead.

Of course you KNOW for sure I've done taxis and many private excursions. Sometimes you come off as thinking something I didnt say. Some roll calls have put together private excursions from 5 to 50 people. For me when i price out online excursions for 1 person it's not economical. A few times with my sister we hopped in a taxi and asked to be driven around the island to see it by ourselves. I did not say private were not reputable, I said as a solo I just find going with the cruise line to be more economical. Of course I've done both. I also have compared some excursions carnival offered to those royal offered on sale, exact same and with sales royal was cheaper. So this guarantee idk .. just today someone asked on the rcl board about booking with obc, and I went to screen shot and discovered some excursions added to my ABC April 2025 cruise on royal 30% off. Jumped on a 30% off 3 hour tour of bonaire. Unfortunately no ostrich farm for curacao offered, maybe later, that I accidentally missed last January on dream. Of course I didnt say or mean or imply that there werent good private excursions. You read stuff into what I say often has me scratching my head. Maybe in person we would communicate better. If I was a couple and especially a family I would shop around for private. For just me I dont find it worth it. Especially when royal has 35% and now 30% off excursions. Cheaper for the same as carnival offers. Not saying i didnt enjoy other stuff and the 14 day journey cruise but i thought carnival was high $$$ on excursions. We did A and C on carnival dream on my journey cruise but skipped bonaire of ABC. Nice to see all 3 next year. .. and better excursion prices.

Good fresh corn on the cob too. In ohio we coukd buy it from road side stands picked that day. Every day after picking ispts not as good. Fresh uuumbers even. In most grocery stores they dont taste like a cucumber. We grew them and tomatoes at home.

I'm booked on the TA out of PC may 2025 and the 2nd leg which has 2 greece stops and ends in rome. Some I know booked the 3rd leg because they want to end in athens instead of rome. If you are talking about may 26, rome to athens you will have plenty of company. I've talked to several who booked the 3rd leg. The TA the most reasonable fare, 13 days over, the 10 day not so much lol. I toyed with adding the 3rd leg but right now I'm ending in rome. I wanted to see greee is why I added rhe 10 day leg. The next leg was cheaper but only 7 days.

For me as a solo I'm not I terested in a land vacation u less I'm visiting relatives. For me doesnt matter what land vacations cost, I'm going to cruise. Not comparable as solo it wouldnt be fun to go alone to a romantic beach destination. I cruise because excursions I'm with others and on the cruise. I do excursions thru the cruiseline to have company.

I can buy the exact same excursion from rcl as carnival and carnival does not discount so it's cheaper thru royal. I just booked a excursion for bonaire today on royal for 30% off. I buy all mi e on royal 35% off year before last black friday 30% off. It is what it is. Carnival just doesnt do pre boarding sales like royal. On the other hand I booked several on my journey cruise. I still want to feed the ostriches in curacao lol. The other 2 met in the theater and I didnt read the instructions clearly for feeding the ostriches. Supposed to meet at 9 am. I was there by 9:05 bus pulled away. For a extra $10 i did some submarine excursion instead. Since wasnt discounted, i didnt lose any money switching, the one I switched to happened to be $10 more full price. They just dont discount. But it was nkce of them they allowed me to switch to 2 others. One was a beach excursion and I was dressed in jeans to go to the ostrich farm. People who went all liked it, good reviews. It's on my list for another time.sigh. .. I was the one who messed up though. The submarine imo wasnt terrific. Few fish and a few coral and stuff. But it was better than losing my money. They could have said too bad you snooze you lose.

I'll ask if they do a senior discount. I only bought a few things this morning, salad, watermelon, etc. I clicked the beach publix is my store but the other is close. I noticed several items looked to be cheaper at my store, I'd already noticed deli sliced ham. Watermelon saved 4.20 a LB 2 for 1 on the beach but 3.99 at my sore. A couple other items too I think. A lot of juice in the watermelon but sure tastes good today. It is a nicer store. I have a walmart and aldi close but prefer publix. Indian river orange juice was sold out at 12.89 or something and wasnt a big bottle. Indian river oranges clearly people will pay more. I think they marked up all their products and then do lots of 2 for 1. Lavazz or some similar named brand of coffee 2 for 1 but it's still over $10 and cant be that good? Some lady was putting a bunch of some sea weed snack in her basket .. a lot. She said her daughter just loves them and puts it in rice. Seaweed. Ok. She bought 6 or 8 at least. I'm glad I'm not shopping for a big family though. The beach publix for sure has higher prices. Gouge those tourists. I was surprised to try and find the closest post office. Googled and had directions and drove past it to a dead end. Ok it must be here, I'm blind. It was in the back corner of a drug store. You know it's a small town when there isnt a stand alone post office. I think there was also a sign for bagels, must also have been in the drug store lol. I ent the garage clicker to the new buyer where i moved from. I wasnt giving up my key and climer after twice he didnt close and asked for a extension. Wasnt giving up access until i was sure.

Well I'm not sure for me true, but this year bought march 7 so it was not occupied jan 1st so cant homestead. Seems I cant get over age 65 either. My other condo you cant get the over 65 exemption unless you are a resident. I was getting a decent rate on utilities where I lived before though it was a lot less sf. So far I havent seen the savings you did. And to rent out 1 condo thru a property manager I have to pay for a business license each year. And with hoa on that one going from 475 to 680, and seems like they keep raising property taxes. Next year as a florida resident maybe on the other condo i will be allowed to claim over 65 on property utaxes, but I'm getting nailed to be honest. I'm just hoping no more assessments. HOA here went from 612 to 741 a month. For the sf I think it was more reasonable than anything I saw on the beach. One of the reasons I choose this place. Hoa under 1k and over 2000 sf. And still a nice water view. I still think was a good choice for me. I'm enjoying more sf. But savings no, not seeing them. But I havent yet seen the property taxes for the dallas/richardson house i gave to my sister but I'm paying expenses. Without my dad on the title might be a big surprise. But im really enjoying it here. Tomorrow night is poker night so the guys arent forgotten. How could I resister Dave's killer bread with extra fiber and protein? Lots of new brands I'm enjoying to explore.

Wow I just noticed on that screen shot excursion showing 30% off. I didnt even know some loaded. Just bought the scenic tour for bonaire. Just type in the amount. Then you scroll past the credit card area to the bottom and check you read the terms and conditions and click place order. OP thanks. Going to see what other excursions loaded to some other dates. I've been getting obc from my TA and it shows up either immediately or there is one he says 2 to 4 weeks it will show. Maybe it depends on what kind of obc from thr TA, mine could be from early booking or attached to the rate and mine varys by cruise. This is $100 from my TA from whatever, I cant say for what. And $100 obc from stock. My TA obc has been showing up right away. Except for the one he said 2 to 4 weeks. Showing $200 obc and only $100 came from owning 100 shares of stock. All mine show now, none show up later on board.
