  1. Skylight gave you the language on the site, but personal experience tells me you can bring more soda than that if you want. I haven't tried bottled water, but doubt they would stop you. I have brought 3 12 packs without issue. The security people nor Princess people care.
  2. Great to hear, thank you. We are going to get off the plane, have our taxi or uber stop at a grocery store, and stock up before heading to the terminal. I debated about putting some in the luggage for porters, but don't want anything busted open in the suitcase.
  3. I value someone's personal experience. How can anyone dispute it, unless they were right beside you the whole time. 😀
  4. Following. Doing this itinerary next month. Have only done one Celebrity cruise, so apologies for questions. Your room key, you pick it up in your room and not prior to boarding? Anyone have experience bringing your own water and soda onboard at embarkation? Carry on or check with porters? We did not get a package, so bringing our own.
  5. We are not foodies, but have never gone hungry on any cruise we have been on. My expectations are just to have a few options to choose from and that's good enough for us.
  6. I suspect they haven't notified of changes because they have none currently to notify. Hurricanes change paths quickly, so they don't necessarily make changes until they have reasonable assurance it's needed.
  7. Assuming everything is on time, that time should be fine. We've done it many times, but usually with flights closer to 10am. Last year, we didn't get off the ship till 8:20am because of delays getting to FLL, but got to the airport at 8:45 and inside, and found a Delta rep who took us an others ahead of the standard line and we made the flight by about 5 minutes. Closest call I've ever had.
  8. The internet computers in the IC are not free internet usage. You have to log in just like you do on your phone/tablet/PC.
  9. I've been on one Celebrity cruise, so not a lot of data. Actually have another next month. But been on Princess 26 times. When I booked my Celebrity cruise last year, the Celebrity forum people responding to my questions all assured me that the food on Celebrity was immensely better than on Princess, but I found it to be basically the exact same. We were on a smaller ship, so less options in places like the buffet. I found the food to be adequate, but not special. Same as I view with Princess.
  10. We bought it back in 2010 for like $29, and have gotten all that money back in OBC from the benefit. I'm not going to be surprised if because of how cheap it is, and so many people buying it for the OBC now a days that they don't stop it at some point.
  11. Emerald and Ruby are sister ships, Emerald is about 1 year older. Both are great. We did panama canal on Emerald earlier this year and had a good time.
  12. Noon flight out of FLL is easy. If you take the shuttle, they will give you your disembarkation paperwork with when to meet for your shuttle.
  13. That is what I'm assuming as well. I already didn't like how they changed the retreat on the Sky type ships, and this will certainly prevent me from wanting to sail on these ships. I hate this class thing the cruise lines are doing, but they are all headed that way.
  14. Does anyone know if they will have an adults only retreat area like previous ships? From what I have seen, it appears they are expanding the sanctuary and adding a pool, so does that mean you have to pay for that now?
  15. I've had this happen a couple of times. Likely for other traffic at the port.
  16. You can unlock your door from the app? Someone mentioned change your room temp on the app? I didn't know that. Have my second Celebrity cruise upcoming. Those two items might come in handy.
  17. I re-read the thread. So, on the Celebrity app, you can watch the safety videos before actually boarding the ship it seems like. I've never tried that on Princess, so I'm not sure if you can do that or not. I believe they do require you to watch it prior to going to your muster station, so that is why I said I turn the TV on to the video when we drop our bags, then head to the muster station. The system recognized I played the video and when I get to the muster station, it shows as completed to the attendant there. I will have to see if I can watch it on the app before boarding next time.
  18. It depends. We have seen it both ways, where you could access the rooms and where you couldn't so YMMV. If the fire doors are open you can likely drop your bags and leave while closing your door. Your medallion will work at that time, and then you can meet your room steward later. Our last 4-5 cruises between 2019 and 2022 we couldn't get there till 1pm, fire doors were closed. But our two cruises this year on Princess we were able to go directly to our room and drop stuff.
  19. I'm thinking of Princess maybe. They require you watch the video before going to the muster station, so we would get to our room, start the video then leave and head to the muster station to check in. Their TV's also won't let you play anything else till you have watched it.
  20. If you are an adult, there is a retreat area that is mostly away from the music. One thing I love about the Princess ships that have them. I'm pretty disappointed the newest ships won't have this.
  21. Can you get to your cabin and start the video, then go down to the muster station to check in?
  22. Thanks for sharing. I'm more excited now for my cruise than I was a couple of weeks ago.
  23. Agree with you 100%. It's very shady how they have implemented these price increases and removed benefits to them.
  24. Hmm. I wonder if they would turn it down some if you asked. On Princess newer ships they had an adults only retreat area that was separate from the main pools where the movie screen was, and you could get away from that noise, but I don't think Equinox has something like that.
