Good to hear.

A nice way to start our transit with breakfast on our verandha. We are next to enter canal. Seven Seas Voyager is in front of us. As expected it is a steam bath outside. I’m already soaked. Chefs dinner was outstanding with wonderful camaraderie amongst fellow diners. Tonight we are going out to dinner in Panama City on a ships tour. More later as we are ready to enter first lock.

Only six days left this segment. They’re trying to get everything done before Lima. The decision to cancel Ecuador was a sound decision with today’s news of violence and country in State Of Emergency.

Onward is in Puerto Limon, Costa Rica today. Everyone will be back onboard for our 3:30 departure. We will be sailing for our Panama Canal transit tomorrow. We will overnight in Panama then our second day will be followed by White Night before sailing. Might be a tad warm out on deck. Glad they cancelled Educador with it its current 60 day State Of Emergency. We have been to Puerto Limon a few times so we elected to stay onboard. We had the entire pool to ourselves. Officers BBQ was at 12:30 and the ships orchestra will be performing for sail away. We ate a lite lunch as we are dinning at the Chefs Table Italian dinner in Aqualina. Last night’s performance was from VOXX the four British tenors. Great show.Tonight our Den pianist Marty Lake entertains in Cabaret with a Tribute To Elton John. Yesterday I walked into Cabaret when Cumulative Trivia. Was surprised to see Captain Karl hosting when Eric had other duties. I believe Captain Karl is leaving in Lima and Captain G. Will take the helm. Captain Karl will rejoin later in cruise. We booked a triple back to back this morning for 62 days sailing next January from Miami to Miami on a South American, Rio Carnival and Antarctica cruise. Life is good on the Azamara Onward World Voyage.

We are enjoying our day onboard. Booked a 2025 62 day triple back to back from Miami and back. South America, Rio at Carnival and down to Antartica and back. Played a casual game of triple. Came in 3rd. There were three teams. Officers BBQ they serve and do some prep at pool deck at 12:30. Won’t eat much as we are dining at Chefs Table tonight with Italian menu. Sail Away 3:00 PM with the ships orchestra entertaining and tonight is Elton John tribute which we may miss due to Chefs dinner. Power walked for a couple of miles but it was very hot and humid. Good morning. We will be arriving in Puerto Limon in hour and a half. We have nothing planned here and will be enjoying being on board. This was a substitute port when our two Ecuador ports were cancelled due to civil unrest. The other substitute will be overnight in Panama City. Stopped by and watched Cumulative Trivia which are the hard core trivia teams that are competing the entire cruise. Got a kick that one of the teams named the Drivers was ten Officers including the Captain and Hotel Director. Even funnier the Captain ran the trivia yesterday when CD had another obligation. Great and very approachable crew. Yesterday was the huge brunch Buffett served in main dining room. We elected a light lunch on the Sunset Verandha. Attended more lectures, we both took short naps dined in Discovery (MDR) and then went to see the four British tenors who will be disembarking today. Great performance by them and the ships orchestra. Time for coffee and to watch our sail in. Thanks for the Report and postings. Bruce

Good morning. Having coffee outdoors on Sunset Veranda. It’s getting warmer but looks like another beautiful day as we sail to Puerto, Limon. Yesterday was a full day of activity. They definitely have many activity options. The ships singers and dancers do not just entertain they work throughout the day hosting trivia and other activities. We attended a luncheon for us World Voyagers. Attended lectures. One of the lecturers is famed naturalist Nigel Marvin and Animal Presenter with BBC and many films and National Geographic Films.He has been on Tonight Show. He is with us until Tahiti. A couple of college professor have done great lectures. I believe there are seven onboard. There was a large Mexican themed BBQ pool side but we ate in Prime C (steak house) last night and my rib eye was a prime cut and delicious. Sue enjoyed her Steak Diane. We could tell around the ship there was a BBQ going on as the Weber Charcoal at pool was letting us know someone was BBQ in the neighborhood. After dinner we attended the ships dancers and singer Disco themed performance. My what a high energy great performance. I believe the ship is staffed by the A Team. We received new key cards yesterday as our status rose a level. Just found out our neighborhood escaped damage with this mornings stron storms and tornado warning. Very windy and yards are littered with leaves and twigs. Have appointment with future cruise consultant this morning. Looking at a Grand South America voyage in 2025. It turned out to be a set menu and time was changed to accommodate a conflict with Cumulative Trivia which is a trivia competition for entire voyage. It was interesting to watch though we are not on a team. The officers including Captain and HD are part of their team the “Drivers.” These are the hard core Trivia players. Questions were hard. The lunch turned out to be a fully set menu which ran late and which the Segment 10 briefing was scheduled. So that was rescheduled until tomorrow. All issue were handled efficiently. Dinner in Prime C tonight and Ship Cast entertainment.

The lunch today with Lee was mainly just a chance to meet, make sure everyone is OK and his role and offerings. So I don’t believe it’s a special meal. We will see.

Everyone goes to buffet.We just attended a wonderful guest lecturer famed BBC Animal Presenter Nigel Marvin. Who shared some of his TV episodes. Lecturers have been great.

Wow! What an AzAmazing Evening in Cozumel. Two years in the planning. Samplings of local culinary treats and a dramatic production of musicians, airelist, and decorated and performers. Captain Karl and Eric set the tone. Variety of beverages offered and they were top shelf aka Don Julio and waiters actively replenished. Upon return the band was playing and more cocktails. First of two sea days as we sail to Panama. All full voyagers having lunch today with Lee and tonight large Mexican Buffet pool side. Lot going on with quality lecturers, cast shows etc. Life is outstanding on Azamara Onward.

Good morning. We didn’t read our Daily Insider upon returning to our cabin last night if we had we would have switched time zones. We will enjoy our coffee but will have to wait 30 minutes for breakfast. Last night’s Azamazing Evening was spectacular. Two years in planning. We were bussed a short distance to the venue. Tables decorated with beautiful flowered linen tables where we served different taco’s. You had choice of quality beverages and it top shelf. Tequila was Don Julio. Then we were entertained by a large variety of musician’s, entertainers and high flying airelist flying around a high pole. Upon being returning to the ship the ships band was playing and we were offered specialty cocktails or tequila shots. Our Captain Karl and Cruise Director Eric were our official greeters and they had Mayan face paintings. Today is one of two sea days. We have a lunch scheduled with Lee our World Cruise Consultant with our other full voyagers.and dinner in Prime C specialty restaurant. Though we will miss the pool side large Mexican Buffet. Many choices and there is also cast show. A little cloud cover but light chop seas. Thanks for Report and post. Bruce

For the first time in our countless privately booked excursions the tour did not show at designated pick up spot. We are being reimbursed. Plan B we have the ships pool just about to ourselves. No problemo!

Onward arrived in Cozumel this morning and will be here until 10 PM then two sea days headed to Panama. Tonight is Amazing Evening for this segment. All of Amazing Evenings are brand new on this cruise. Food has been great, service wonderful. Last night we had Captain Carls welcome. He’s the most excited person on ship as he’s been waiting for years to do a World. He’s also a hoot! After toast we were treated to a great show from four tenors from UK. Received 2 back packs with water canister and umbrella inside all with World Cruise logos Life is good on beautiful Onward.

Good morning. Looks like we are in for a beautiful day here in Cozumel. We are booked for a dune buggy, snorkeling, Mayan Ruins and most likely tequila and treats. Tonight is our Azamazing Evening for this segment. Cultural dancing. Food and more tequila. They bus us there and these special evenings are included on every segment. Last evening we enjoyed dinner in main dining room followed by an outstanding performance from four tenors from UK. That was followed by a toast and Captain Carl welcome. He’s a character. We are here until ten before we have two sea days headed for Panama. Yesterday we enjoyed some great lectures, trivia and briefing for World Voyagers. Also received backpacks which included water bottle and umbrella all labeled with 2024 World Voyage. Have a great week everyone. Bruce
