  1. As one who is booked for the entire World Voyage flexibility is the key. We most likely will miss some ports of call due to weather, strikes, more civil unrest etc. On the other hand Azamara is quite noted for choosing alternative ports of call. The two most important things to pack for a cruise is a good attitude and don’t set the bar so high it can’t be reached. We are prepared that there may be segments that we run short on certain supplies due to no fault of Azamara. Things happen. Where ever we end up going we are going to have a great time and relish how fortunate we are to be able to make this lavish adventure come true.
  2. Let’s hope for the best. It’s not going to be an overnight fix.
  3. Good morning! No one waiting on us hand and foot. Had to make my own cup of coffee. Geez! Back to reality. One experience on this cruise was we couldn’t watch live tv in NYC and Charleston. I inquired and the answer was 5G interferes with TV reception. Never had or heard of that before. Maybe that will change when they soon get Star Link. Unpacking. So much easier now that we use packing bags labeled with different items. Also makes it easier to pack. We have converted a bedroom into world cruise packing center and it’s filling up fast. Still awaiting an update to our itinerary. Originally going to Ukraine which we knew a year ago. Two weeks ago Ecuador got scrubbed due to civil unrest. Pretty sure Israel, Jordon have been removed and possibly Egypt. In lieu of Ecuador we will have an overnight in Panama. It’s time to get moving on getting Visas. Never been to Albania and don’t believe I have ever seen it on an itinerary. That would be an interesting and history filled visit. Thanks for the Fleet Report and all who contribute. Have a great Hump Day. Bruce
  4. Good to hear. Star Link can really improve WiFi service.
  5. Glad you’re onboard. Enjoy the train ride. We arrived back home on time. I believe it will pizza delivery night.
  6. Good morning. We had a wonderful last evening aboard. First with a fantastic last farewell send off by the pool when the crew came out and said goodbye followed by a fantastic last performance by the singers. Enjoyed our last dinner in the Restaurant and a final good bye to our wonderful staff. We then went to the Grand Salon to watch three male singers who did a tribute to Michael Buble. Great show. It’s time to head up for coffee and breakfast. We disembark at 8:30 and if all goes well arrive at home at 3:30. It has been a great cruising experience. Thanks for the Report and Post. Bruce
  7. Going to miss this experience on Seabourn. The little attention to detail. The sunscreen provided by pool, the eyeglasses cleaning cloths. The mango sorbet with Prosecco that was just offered to everyone pool side. The crew is focused and works together at multiple venues and they have bought into ensuring the guest are spoiled and happy. We would love do this again someday.
  8. Good morning. It’s our last day of this wonderful cruise experience. Yesterday, we sat poolside and enjoyed just a relaxing day. We dined with a couple we met. Taylor is a Navy Academy graduate and a retired Navy Captain who was the skipper on Navy Destroyers. His classmate and dear friend was the late Senator John McCain. Needless to say there was some great conversations. After dinner we headed poolside for the big dance party. Great music. Officers and entertainers all on dance floor, Every entertainer took turns singing with the band. We got up and danced and one of the entertainers stated “I had some great dance moves.” I can still cut a rug but just not as long as I used too.😊 Time to get moving and enjoy our last full day on the beautiful Seabourn Quest. It has been an amazing cruising experience. Thanks for Fleet Report and List. Bruce
  9. Sorry to hear about your dining experience. Hope that is an isolated issue as Rudy’s has been a favorite.
  10. Good morning. Yesterday afternoon when I looked at Seabourn’s app the itinerary link stated we would arrive in Charleston at midnight. Upon returning to cabin last night I looked at The Herald (Daily) and it stated we don’t arrive Charleston until ten this morning. Rechecked the app and our arrival had been changed to ten this morning. We do stay until 10:00 PM. Seabourn App is very similar to Hal’s. It’s currently 48 degrees and is forecasted to reach 74. We may go walk around but are contemplating staying onboard and enjoying the pool area which has been too cold to enjoy. Remember we have been here many times and I was stationed here. It’s a beautiful city. Last night we dined in the Colonnade as the theme was Thai food. It was very good and served us well after the Galley feast we had at noon. Brittaney from the ship’s cast did a solo performance last night. What a talent and performer. Later we had a female pianist who was a former Steinway winner. Whatever that entails. This first time Seabourne cruise is coming to an end. It has been a wonderful experience. There are no negative's. Seabourn works very hard and exceeds on pampering and treating its guest as royalty. It’s not snobby and fellow guest were all amiable and a joy to meet. Coffee time. Thanks Rich and all who contribute to the Daily. Bruce
  11. Thought I did a frown but may change to a big grin as this has been and over the top wonderful experience.
  12. Ocean is calming some. We arrive Charleston tonight at midnight and tomorrow we don’t sail until 10:30 PM. Monday is a sea day and we disembark Tuesday.😒
  13. Great night for some libations as everyone is staggering around before drinks. We definitely know we are at sea.
  14. You have been on vacation thinking up new material too make us moan and groan. 😊 Keep it up.
  15. We just attended The Signature Galley Buffet. Good grief what a spread. Lobster, snow crab, suckling pig and on and on. We just swayed back to room and soon will be nap time. Here’s some pics albeit not very good but holding a plate, dealing with a moving ship and taking pics are not my forte.
  16. For those who have occasional motion sickness such as moi let me tell you about my motion sickness preventer. I first learned about them when my daughter had morning sickness during her pregnancy and her nausea ended when her Doctor told her to get an Eme Term. Eme Term is an electrical device that you wear like a wristwatch. It’s FDA approved and works in over 86% of people who wear one. It is not recommended for people with certain conditions so one needs to read up. If I remember right one wouldn’t wear if one had a pacemaker. Seeing I very rarely but on certain conditions have experienced sea sickness I purchased one for the World Cruise. I have only been able to try it a couple of times but it has worked. Worn around the wrist with a dab of conducting gel you get a little electrical pulse on your wrist which sends a message to your brain and the brain tells the stomach not to get sick. You charge like any other electrical product. So far it has worked for me. Just FYI as an alternate to other motion sickness aid and devices. Just search Eme-Term for more info. I have no affiliation with this company or product. B.
  17. Good morning. Another wonderful dinner in the Grill last night. The following Detroit Sounds show by the ship’s cast last night was perfectly executed and choreographed. Many of the guest who attended Broadway shows on our overnight in. New York commented they are just as good or better than the performers on Broadway. Unfortunately that was their last show as a group as their contract ends in Miami. This sea day is jammed packed with activities such as trivia, lectures. We need to use up some OBC so may book a spa visit. Time for some coffee. @JazzyVDo pray you get some pain relief. Rich thanks for your loyal and timely start to the Daily. Feeling a little ship movement this morning. Have a great Saturday everyone. Bruce
  18. No worries. They had many other specialty drinks they were offering and they will fix you anything from the complimentary offerings. Every night when you attend the show they have a specialty drink of the night like Brandy Alexander’s or you order your preferred libation. I have not been told since we embarked. Want a special meal just ask and if possible you’ll have next night. One night I had a craving for spaghetti with a Marinara. Moment later chef can do. Spaghetti Bolognese OK? Some of the best Bolognese ever. Enjoy.
  19. The vodka was served in small cylindrical shot glasses that were being held in a wooden holed tray similar to what you get at a beer tray sampler just smaller. Quality. It was smooth.
  20. Some pics of what we just experienced. A fantastic sail away with cruise director with a great voice singing New York New York!
