  1. Roy Iโ€™m glad youโ€™re home but like others I felt you pushed yourself too much today. Iโ€™m sure the folks at the firehouse could have done some of those errands. If not friends relatives or someone. One day ago you needed assistance to get out of bed and walk. Take it easy and give your body time to heal. Hope I didnโ€™t overstep on advice.
  2. Good morning! After a relaxing and beautiful day by the pool we walked to a very popular restaurant called efishetangas and dined Al fresco. Had a light meal of soft shell crab tacos and enjoyed a fireball sunset. Today more beach/pool time and tonight we will prepare our own dinner. Santorini is beautiful but always crowded and a little too touristy but is still a special place to visit. Sandi thanks for starting the Daily. Hope you enjoy it because it can become a full time job. Sometimes I question how many visits do I make to this blog!๐Ÿ˜ฑ Me thinks it may be addictive! Roy I do hope you had a restful night and that you are properly able to take care of yourself. Life is good. Have a great day! Bruce
  3. We cruised in an Onward Club Continent Suite for twelve days in January. Everything worked as advertised with the exception of those cheap and very uncomfortable balcony chairs. We have cruised on other lines and a luxury River cruise since cruising resumed post pandemic and and they all had supply and personnel issues. Some new crew members on every line needed to be trained. Veteran crew members having difficulty returning due to slow visa processing. Supply issues everywhere. You get what you can get. So we understand this and enjoy our cruise experiences knowing at times itโ€™s not like it used to be but to us is still a wonderful experience and what we love to do. Our dining was fine, food was served warm. Like most of the entertainment and in general were treated and cared for by the crew like weโ€™ve grown to expect. When this ship started cruising last May it had gone through the Perfect Storm. We were shown pictures from fellow guest that were on the inaugural. Many of the work crew on renovation were from Ukraine and chose to go home and defend the homeland, supply issues galore and still an issue. So this was our test run on Onward and we booked the cabin that we are booked for a 155 days on next years World Journey. Believe me if our experience was that bad we would not be spending that type of money. We have over 500 days of cruising on other lines and we really have enjoyed our Azamara cruising experience and looking forward to more. Next up Journey for intensive Spain and France back to backs. Canโ€™t wait. Donโ€™t set the bar so high it canโ€™t be reached and be tolerant and patient during these different times. We have only done two Azamara cruises and if it not enjoyable we would move on. So far we are happy cruisers.๐Ÿ›ณ
  4. For those dealing with freezing weather and sleet and ice there is relief a three hour flight away. Roy I was happy to hear your being discharged today. Get lotโ€™s of rest and drink lotโ€™s of water to help thin out the phlegm in your lungs.
  5. Roy you like sunrises. So hereโ€™s todayโ€™s sunrise in Cancun! Get well soon!
  6. Buenos Diaz! Up early as neither of us slept well. It was quite the adventure getting here yesterday but in the end we were four hours late and our bags arrived with us. After checking in we went to the pool side cafe for a late snack. Ended up having octopus, purple onion, asparagus pizza. First time for that type pizza and it was pretty good. Octopus is pretty common down here. I thought Red Neck Bob would have more to say about spunky old broads rather then Baked (sloshy)Alaska!๐Ÿ˜ Waiting for our sunrise which is kind of late at 7:30. Main objective is have coffee and breakfast then hang out by the pool all day and maybe a dip in the Caribbean Sea! Did see a couple of cruise ships pass by last night which is pretty common when we visit here. Thanks Sandi for getting The Daily started. I hope today finds Roy and Jacqui doing better.
  7. A little late but we have arrived Cancun and itโ€™s warm!๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป
  8. Itโ€™s turning out to being a long day of travel. Didnโ€™t make first flight due to weather. Got to a rebooked to Atlanta and as we were boarding the plane the next plane was declared dead and a no go. Changed terminal and now awaiting another flight to Cancun. Hopefully this one is a go!
  9. Good morning! Due to dense fog we will be dealing with flight delays all day. So more hours in airports than expected. Just need to remember we are not in charge! Itโ€™s Cancรบn or bust!๐Ÿ˜Ž Thanks Sandi for filling in. Roy hope your getting better and thoughts and prayers for those on our Care List.
  10. Good morning! Roy, like others Iโ€™m not sure what that nurse was getting at. Hopefully, youโ€™ll get a better prognosis when your doctor makes rounds. Our Sunday was filled by watching football. Not much on the schedule today other than final packing and house prep. Itโ€™s an early flight to Atlanta tomorrow and our kind neighbor is picking us up at 4:30 AM!๐Ÿ˜ฑ Then itโ€™s about a two and a half hour flight to Cancun. A big thanks to Sandi for keeping the Daily running and prayers for those on the Care List. Have a great week. Bruce
  11. Yes they merged a couple of years ago and because of that it gives us more options. Our other time share is the Marriott Waiohai on Poipu Beach, Kauai which we are deeded owners. Lagunamar was strictly Westin when we first purchased. This visit we took advantage of an offer that we could stay an extra five days for $250.00 if we sit through the dreaded time share buy more points sales pitch! No way we are buying into any more time share points but the offer was to good to turn down. Enjoy your visit to Luxor. That is where we stayed on our last visit to Vegas.
  12. Going to our timeshare in Cancun for two weeks! https://www.marriott.com/en-us/hotels/cunwl-the-westin-lagunamar-ocean-resort-villas-and-spa-cancun/overview/?scid=7b0e07c8-792f-4f4d-9bfa-dd5b11543aab&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI_6C86pbt_AIV4RTUAR0r0g-6EAAYASAAEgI7qfD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
  13. Good morning! Whew just woke up. Missed church. Not what I had planned but it was a great nap! Thanks for the Fleet and Care reports. Roy Iโ€™m sad your ill and banged up but relieved your in the hospital and being properly taken care of.๐Ÿ™ One thing about pain meds that worked for us was splitting the pill and dividing the dosage. We found that taking one pill would work fine but pain would worsen as med wore off. By taking half the pill and taking other half of pill half way between recommended dosages it helped us deal with the pain more comfortably and evenly. Maybe not for all but it worked for us and helped our pain management. Need to do some wash and packing! Obviously a little behind schedule this morning but the good sleep was worth it. Itโ€™s and overcast day and supposedly lots of rain forecasted later today and overnight! Bruce
  14. Good hearing from you Roy! Get some rest and relieved youโ€™re being cared for. Take care bud!
  15. I forgot to thank Sandi this morning for stepping in for Roy and getting our addicting Daily going. Thank you Sandi for your many contributions to our favorite CC post.๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป
  16. Not the kind of news you want to wake up to. Our patron of the Daily taking a fall. Prayers Roy can get some medical attention and relief from his aches and pain. Itโ€™s that time of year, especially our friends up North to be extra diligent when walking, especially when slippery conditions prevail. At many of our ages falls often lead to serious consequences. With both of us nursing colds we have been procrastinating getting ready for our upcoming trip. Have bathing suit will travel. We do need to pack some seasonings as we do dine in several nights. Our Villa has a kitchen and we have use of outside gas grills. Itโ€™s 36 F right now but clear and blue skies prevail. Tomorrowโ€™s forecast calls for very heavy rains so itโ€™s even more important to get going and get last minute task done today. Again, prayers for our way to many Daily patrons that need them. Have a great weekend and stay safe and healthy.
  17. Roy I recently took a tumble and they ate not fun, Take care of yourself and be more conscious as to what your doing,
  18. They had a new blog out that was originally a live broadcast that they stated they had been called by Director Of Guest Relations at Azamaraโ€™s Florida Headquarters about their onboard experience. Though they didnโ€™t state what the final results of the Directors questioning and response was, they were very satisfied and pleased with Hdqs. handling of the issue. They stated they would discuss more in future vlogs.as itโ€™s finalized.
  19. Good morning! A crisp 35 degrees this morning with a forecasted high of 55F. Time to start preparing for our trip to Cancun next Tuesday. Two weeks of doing nothing but basking by the pool or taking dips in the Caribbean Sea sound very inviting this morning. Continued thoughts prayers and concerns for several of our Daily regulars and praises for the many of us who have no major issues. Time for another coffee and enjoying the fact I no longer have to punch the time clock. My TGIF celebration is thanking God I woke up on this side of the now not so green grass!
  20. Thank you Rich very much appreciated and well said. B.
  21. I forgot to mention a clothing clash that is seen quite often here in Florida. Black socks while wearing shorts! ๐Ÿ˜ฉ
