  1. That isn't true. I've seen men turned away because they were wearing shorts. It happens. As a matter of fact, one man in our own party of 7 showed up for dinner one night in shorts and he was turned away. He had to go back to the room to change. He didn't throw a fit, he didn't complain, he just went and changed. The OP asked if it was okay. People are telling her that there is a possibility that they could be turned away. That is all.
  2. I also agree that I'm more concerned with how they behave in the Dining Room. On our last cruise, which had LOTS of kids, there was some very well behaved kids (pre-teen to teenaged boys) sitting at a table with no parents. The parents appeared to be sitting at the table next to them. They behaved wonderfully!
  3. It might be a good time to teach them to follow the rules. Buy them a pair of pants.
  4. Coughing and sneezing are not symptoms of noro. That person would be spreading their cold germs.
  5. We are flying to Chicago and really 11:18pm were our only options.
  6. I have a small yellow bag that our passports (and previously vaccination cards) are kept in and I stick our car keys in that. That goes in the safe first, with wallets on top of that.
  7. I agree that Noro is easily spread at many places OTHER than cruise ships. You just don't hear about it and make the connection, because people go in separate directions. I'm very thankful that masks are not required any longer, by anyone.
  8. Curious...why WOULDN'T you use the safe? The first thing we do when we get to the cabin is put our wallets, passports and extra cash into the safe.
  9. I would think your natural immunity would be strong in May! I hope you enjoy your anniversary cruise.
  10. I've only ordered a drink via the app a few times, and I figured the 18% included was enough. I do order a pot of hot tea every night around 10 or so via room service and I tip them. I love getting the hot tea in my room every night. It's a big smack in the face with reality when I come home and have to put the water in the kennel, turn it on and make my own!
  11. We had our first mini bar on our April 1 cruise. It was like reedprincess said "8 minis of booze, usually 2 each gin, vodka, scotch, and whiskey. 2 beers. 6 sodas. 2 still water. 2 sparkling water." I called room service and had the regular sodas, sparkling water and still water all switched to Diet Coke. It came up within an hour or so.
  12. We boarded a few weeks ago and no issues. I know that the cruise right behind ours had delayed boarding and I read that it went smoothly. I will say that Ft Lauderdale boarding is WAY quicker, smoother and better than San Francisco!!! They are very efficient.
  13. I think that they were saying that they buy the premium drinks there, they may be $20/per drink? If you are drinking regular cocktails/beer/wine probably the Plus would work just fine! It did for us. And you can get all of the coffee you want on the Plus, also.
  14. I would go the medical reason route and not even mention the passport situation.
  15. We were on her from April 1-8, where I think the Norovirus first occurred. The precautions that Princess takes is exactly what any cruiseline would do. I'm sorry you are not happy. We had a wonderful cruise. The cruise staff are doing everything that they can to manage the virus, but it is difficult when people won't wash their hands and touch things that they shouldn't. I read a post about someone on the cruise before you that caught it, felt bad, still went to the buffet the next day, went back to bed because they still had diarrhea, and went many places the next day, while still having tummy issues. THAT is the reason they can't stay ahead of this thing.
  16. We've been on The Grand twice and are booked in June. We had no complaints or problems when we went.
  17. We got off of her April 8th and I thought she was in fine shape! Enjoy your cruise. The comediennes were great! The first and third production show were good, the second one, not so much (in our opinion, party of 4). Food was good! We missed two ports due to wind, but we still had a fantastic time. Have fun!
  18. We received OBC when we booked the Plus package for our April 1 cruise. We booked it in November.
  19. DH & I use this and it works great! I bought one for my best friend and one for my SIL, also! Love them https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07RC2B9BY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1
  20. I didn't pick up any sarcasm in their post, although I do hope that was the case. If they were trying to make a point about passengers being irresponsible, they missed the boat, in my opinion.
  21. Maybe they caught it in Princess Cay, but the OP was still having diarrhea, but went to the buffet several times and to the bar. Regardless of where they caught it, they were contagious at that point.
  22. I'm sorry, but this is EXACTLY how it spreads! You were contagious and went to the buffet. You were contagious and went to the bar. You were contagious and went back to the buffet. No matter how thoroughly Princess cleans, YOU were spreading the germs around the ship.
  23. We were on the April 1-8 cruising on the Caribbean Princess where this outbreak started, about halfway through. We did not catch anything, but we were careful to wash out hands and to keep them away from our faces.
