I did a tour of her before her maiden voyage so not my first time on board but my first cruise. First and last doesn't sound good. I will report back.

I've been busy the last few days, but in a good way. I bought a new laptop today. My old one was getting very slow. I now have to get used to Windows 11. I have also booked QV for May 24 and QA for October 24. After two short weeks, it's a full week next week, but only 4 weeks to work until I'm off for a week. Not sure I should admit to this, but I'm going on P&O Ventura for 4 nights.

It's beginning to look at lot like Christmas here. Well the tree is up anyway. I went to a concert last night by the Accrington Pipe Band (possibly the oldest civilian pipe band in the world) and the Baxenden Concert Band. A regular fixture in my pre-crhistmas calendar. I even managed to win a box of biscuits in the raffle.

No extra snow here, but we still have much of what fell on Saturday. The problem is it's now ice and very slippy. Main roads are clear thankfully.

No new snow here since Saturday, but what we had has now turned to ice. Main roads are clear but the road I live on is icy and there is a tight turn at the bottom and on a hill. Could be interesting.

Thanks @pberkthat brought back happy memories. It was a great event. I had only booked to Liverpool so had to go home after the concert rather than getting back on board QM2 for the rest of the crossing.

Sorry I have never seen a toasted tea cake on Cunard. I would have had one if i did. They did have them in the buffet on P&O Oriana and very good they were too.

I agree completely. When I was on Britannia she was sailing at about 50% full and it still felt overcrowded.

There are two plans. Basic and the premium. Basic is $20 per day but if you buy for the cruise it works out at $15 a day. If your trip is 9 days or less your £135 will cover the full trip. Alternatively, the cost of the full trip package reduces by $15 per day so you can wait until it comes down to $135. I suspect Cunard are hoping people will just pay the difference. Sorry I don't know the price for the premium package.
