    I spent 12 nights on QV recently in Britannia and was very happy with the food. I did notice a couple of repeats which is unusual. Also no Waldorf salad or apple strudel which was a bit disappointing. My next cruise is on Ventura in February. EEEK!

    Unless the price difference to too wide, I would go for a balcony. The OV cabins on QM tend to be forward as well, which is not good if the ship is pitching.

    Just a thought, but depending on where you cabin is, it might be an option to go back there and made a coffee.

    I had a great trip thanks. Things are getting back to something like normal on board.

    I spent Friday night in Stratford upon Avon to break the trip up and got home on Saturday. I was a lovely trip. Today, I attended the local Remberance Day service.

    I was on deck 1 but thankfully the smell didn't get into our cabin.

    The smell lasted a week. The Chart Room only fully opened again today.

    From what was said and a bit of guess work. It sounds like the initial problem was a water leak that then got into the electrical system.

    A quick update from QV. The Chart Room is now fully open again. Apart from a slight smell of burning you would never know there had been a problem.

    It's been a great trip thanks. A few nice warm sunny days to top up the vitamin D ready for winter.

    Hello from QV. The chart room is still not fully open yet but it looks like most of the work is done. Just come back to the cabin after breakfast and the leatherette luggage cover is on the bed. I guess that's a hint that it's packing day.

    No parties as yet. However I have been told they are working on it. This is third hand information so I can't say how reliable it is.

    Hello from QV in Lisbon. I'm still having a great time. We had dinner in the verandah on Sunday evening. I had lobster cocktail fillet steak and rum baba. All very good. Some very heavy showers today. The chart room is still not completely repaired but it looks like they are putting everything back so it shouldn't be much longer.

    I'm on board Qv now and there is none on display in the shop. The choice seems limited compared to previous trips.

    They are still working in chart room but it hasn't affected anywhere else.

    A nice surprise we won the trivia quiz on a tiebreaker.

    It's a lovely morning here on board Queen Victoria. I'm sat in the Golden Lion waiting for morning trivia to start. Part of the Chart Room is still closed off and a strong smell of burning.
