  1. Thank you for posting the photo of the welcome letter. OP-the third sentence from the bottom clearly states that friends and family members who are not D,D+, P do not have access. (I will assume that you were referring simply to a friend or cabin mate not a caregiver for a disability ) Enjoy the cruise. M
  2. Some machines have that feature, some do not. m
  3. Why did they give you a letter? Did he/she see you and say, “hey, would you like access for four others” , or did you ask for a favor. If it was around 2019 then the access was worth a great deal. It was pre daily drinks so 4 people drinking complimentary cocktails for several hours each night. I hope you “thanked” ($$$) him/her appropriately g for putting their job at risk. I stand by my original comment that if you did get access, (and I don’t why you did) best not to boast about it on social media m
  4. Thanks. We’ve been on Oasis class with groups this size or larger. Except for an occasional private party one evening in the solarium or a private concert one evening in the theater there has never been a venue closed all week. As a frequent cruiser, it is no problem for me but first time or occasional cruisers might be disappointed. Thanks for the info. m
  5. It is common for me to use a drink voucher for a speciality coffee. I want speciality (espresso ) decaf and often the lounge machines don’t have decaf. m
  6. I don’t see how it brings up any dilemma You booked a suite guarantee and were assigned a suite. It would be different if you booked a suite and were assigned a lower category, but that is not the case. m
  7. Four non Diamond and invited in? Wow. No wonder folks complain. The Diamond lounge is for D, D+ and on many ships Pinnacle as well. If non D family and friends are invited in (and for the life of me I don’t know why they would be) no wonder there is no space or an overworked concierge for those who have earned the privilege. BTW-if I somehow got non D invited in, I certainly would not mention it on social media. I would be embarrassed. m
  8. Wonder is so large that groups often get lost. Typically, how many will be part of this group? Are we talking 200, 500, 1000 or more? I’ve been on Oasis with a group of 500 passengers and didn’t realize it till someone told me. m
  9. No need to speculate dates, “ourusual beach” posted the flyer for the cruise dates and ships for 2024. Thanks for posting. I am scheduled to be on Wonder during that time. I don’t expect it to be any problem. While I generally go to solarium bistro for dinner a night or two on oasis class ships, I’ll just regroup for that one cruise. No big deal. And for breakfast or lunch, if a large group is going to the solarium bistro for kosher meals, that will free up space in main dining room/Windjammer. Again, no issue for me but I imagine others will be upset learning a venue was closed for the entire cruise. M
  10. ANY shorts are fine. You will not be turned away from the dining room. We dress a bit and I imagine we will soon be the exception. M
  11. Thanks for your comments. Sound like you are certainly enjoying the cruise. Wonder is a fantastic ship. Hope you get to see Effectors 2. m
  12. None that I recall on Rhapsody or Brilliance. m
  13. Of course seating time has nothing to do with sunset. It has to start early enough to give folks ample time to eat, the staff has to clean and reset the table so the late diners can be seated. We find early to be too early, late to be too late, so are happy with my time dining somewhere in the middle. We like the flexibility if we have a late port day. m
  14. Heads up. Once or twice the Chops plus one was cheaper than usual the BOGO once on board. Had to do with the pre purchase discount pricing with the Chops plus one and paying full standard price with the BOGO. Doesn’t happen often. A quick math exercise is all you need to do. m
  15. Have some hard candy and some licorice in my checked luggage every cruise (cruising for many years) and never any issue. Never heard it had to be in a carry on.
  16. Yes. It is a nice show. When compared to the newer ships/more high tech shows it seems a bit dated but the singers and dancers work hard to create good entertainment. It is only about 45 minutes long. m
  17. We will be sailing with you and look forward to celebrating your Pinnacle recognition. m
  18. Sorry – thought I had deleted my post above. I don’t believe we have two nights, I think we have two DAYS. m
  19. October 13 cruise , Eight night. Join us. m
  20. We wanted sushi on Mariner and that was our experience as well. That sushi bar only seems to sit about 6 or eight people with no other sushi seating. They suggested to come about a half an hour prior to our preferred time. We went about a half an hour prior to our scheduled dining room time, so that if there was no accommodation at izumi, we would simply eat in the dining room that evening. It worked out fine for several cruises. There was only one instance where they could not see this, and because it was prior to our scheduled dinner time, we simply went to the dining room that evening.
