  1. On Radiance class ships with Park Cafe in the Solarium, the kummelweck sandwiches are there. On Quantum class ships they are in the Cafe at Two70. I have never seen them in the WJ.
  2. Off topic, but did you ever see this post from earlier in the year from someone trying to find you? On topic, it was always about the booze. 😄
  3. If you are removing the person who is eligible for the discount, the cabin will be repriced to the going rate. You should be able to put a different person in that cabin though.
  4. Quantum windows on the aft facing balconies were cleaned at the end of our sailing. I watched the cleaning crew power washing the balconies and windows and then squeegee them as I was sitting in my cabin waiting for my escort to walk me off. Balcony floors were also washed everyday by the cabin steward because of how bad the soot was on that ship.
  5. I swing it the the other way, I am older than my husband but only by 7 months. I am currently the old lady for a few more months 😄
  6. There was a really good documentary a few years ago that we saw. According to the ever accurate wiki, there was also a made for tv movie called Diverted that was based on Gander.
  7. It is back right now! None of us should click on it so they can get it. It pulls it from inventory every time we click on it.
  8. They did check my son's license years ago when he was 16 1/2 yrs old and had just tested for his license the day we left for the cruise. They did accept a temporary license at that time. They were checking licenses for all those 20 and younger and driving the day we did it.
  9. What I have found is the app will show the menu for the number of days of the sailing it is currently on or was last sailing if it is in drydock or deadheading to a new port. This is what I experienced when trying to see the menus on Quantum at least before it came to Alaska. Once it was here, the first sailing was only 5 nights and that was all that was in the app until it started sailing 7 night cruises.
  10. I am contacting my PCP about the second booster next week to see whether I should take it or not. I have read lots of conflicting information about vaccinations after having covid and what is considered "symptom free" to get the booster. Not sure I qualify yet anyway. Did you get Moderna or Pfizer? Family members who have had the second Pfizer booster have had no side effects. None have gotten Moderna booster yet though, which is what I would get. I hope you have no side effects. Keep us posted. 🙂
  11. I have been seeing cabins pop in and out too, so it could be Royal Ups being assigned and then cabins being grabbed quickly. Prices are high though for balconies. I just hope they can figure something out.
  12. You have been denied booking this way then? I haven't, which is why I said I wonder if they will let her book this way since there is nothing that will sleep 3.
  13. @DaniDanielle Marietta, there are also multiple sets of connecting balconies available all over the ship. I wonder if they would let her get a connecting pair of balconies with a child solo in the cabin since it has the interior connecting door. It might be too expensive though since they are balconies.
  14. I am looking at the site that you can't name here that shows lots more available cabins than Royal's website. There are a lot of inside cabins, side by side but not connecting, available on deck 8 and 9 forward. I know you said you can't remove you or Charlie, but can you move one of you to a cabin for 2 with one grandchild, put second grandchild in your original cabin with Charlie and put your daughter solo in an inside beside the other cabin? You could then get duplicate keys at guest services and have all three of them sleep in one of the insides, even if one kid is on the couch? At least they would be able to come. Just an idea.
  15. Do either of the cabins that you already have booked sleep three? You could try to add to one of those cabins and then move everyone around at guest services once you board. I am looking to book Oasis too and prices for that week are much higher than any of the other weeks. I got my reimbursement for my quarantine expenses yesterday and have a large credit balance sitting on my AMEX that needs to be spent. 😄
  16. Park Cafe has breakfast sandwiches, fruit, yogurt parfaits, danish, muffins and also a bagel station with flavored cream cheeses and lox. I have never seen anything that would be a plated breakfast like eggs and bacon. Definitely a nice change of pace from the WJ.
  17. No one said there were four free drinks on your sea pass and unlimited drinks in the DL during happy hour. Drinks used to be unlimited in the DL during happy hour and diamond, D+ and pinnacle also got three drinks on their sea pass cards to use at bars during happy hour.
  18. What about El Loco Fresh? Does that do breakfast and made to order omelets? I know the restaurant that was there pre-amp did omelets, we ate there all the time, name escapes me. We have sailed Oasis since the amp but were in a suite and ate breakfast in Coastal Kitchen. I meant to check that area out but never did.
  19. You get four drinks daily, up to $13, no more limited list and at any time of the day. There are no longer unlimited drinks in the DL so there are now seats available during the typical happy hours.
  20. Final Update: The reimbursement of my expenses incurred for quarantining in Seattle hit my credit card today. I am glad I just let the process work.
  21. Okay, I thought when you said you confused ships, there was a ship that was sending people to Starbucks for their morning coffee fix when the DL machine was broken. Yes, the specialty coffees at some Cafe Promenades are made with Starbucks branded coffee. La Patisserie on Anthem also has Starbucks branded coffee in their specialty coffees. I am not sure what coffee Cafe Promenade on Anthem uses as we don't go there as they do not have espresso based specialty coffee, they just have the coffee in the urns.
  22. Have never known them to send people to Starbucks when the machine was down, so would be interested to know which ship did.
  23. Royal Caribbean does not give reciprocal benefits to the person you are sharing your cabin with as some other lines do. The Diamond lounge is not very busy in the morning, other than those who like the coffee machine. If you bring her there and the concierge is there, you both might be asked to show your cards proving you have access.
