  1. Thank you for the all support and prayers for my Mom and me the other day. My Mom had her additional MRI yesterday and we are still waiting for the results of that and the neurosurgery referral. After discussions with my DH, son, Mom and most of my siblings, we are going to take our cruise to Alaska. I am almost packed and my DH will throw his stuff together when he gets home from work tonight. Car service is picking us up at 5am tomorrow morning😵 We will have a couple of days in Seattle before we board Quantum on Monday. We tested last night to make sure we are negative and will test for the cruise once we get to Seattle since we can't test until tomorrow. Hopefully, I have remembered most of what we need. I do have the important stuff: passport, money, vaccine card, credit cards, Arrive Can QR code, set sail pass and boarding pass. If I forget it, I will just buy it when I get there. 😄
  2. The noises of the airport, crowds, music, etc are triggers for many people, especially those with autism. It is great that they offer someplace for those who need to a more quiet environment.
  3. It is from L1 to L4, it is big. She had a cervical and a lumbar scan yesterday along with a brain scan with contrast. Doing a lumbar with contrast to see tomorrow to see what is involved. At least they might have found something after over two months. Doctor was thinking there might be lumbar stenosis but wanted the other scans to rule out stroke and myelopathy.
  4. I took my Mom for a series of MRI scans yesterday and one of them shows a cyst on her spine. They are doing that scan again tomorrow but with contrast this time. She has an urgent referral to neurosurgery. If she finds out she is having surgery next week, I am not sure I want to be so far away just in case there is an issue.
  5. Great news! Have an awesome time! We are back to possibly cancelling. We are supposed to sail Monday, so can cancel under cruise with confidence up until midnight Seattle time on Friday. ☹️
  6. The issue I had with our crazy slot pull stemmed around the latecomer changing everything that had been decided. I don't like it when people steamroll others.
  7. They dragged it on so long that people gave up and left. It definitely should have been redistributed though.
  8. We had a slot pull organized and someone joined the rollcall last second to run a slot pull. The ones organizing let this woman push in and she had her card in the machine unless someone made her pull it out. She and one other member of the slot pull decided to have more turns to see if we hit and then took all the money and put it on red on roulette. It was black. All money lost but the lady got her points. Last slot pull we ever joined.
  9. That has been happening for years and caused a major rift on one of our cruises.
  10. I got our email this morning for our cruise next week and it does not list free ppv and I don't ever remember seeing it listed in the past when we have sailed sky class. I will let you know what I find next week. 🙂
  11. No, full suites get free room service. You can order breakfast off the room service menu or you can order from the MDR menu.
  12. Port Valet is available for Seattle. We have already reserved our spots for our luggage for our May cruise. https://www.portseattle.org/page/port-valet-enjoy-seattle-luggage-free
  13. We went there in 2015 when we were doing a Pacific Coastal cruise. It is a beautiful garden and museum. We also saw the travelling exhibit when it was in Boston at the Museum of Fine Arts. As of now, we aren't planning on going again, but you never know. I was going to check out the website this week to see if there are any new installations. We are going to take the ferry to Bainbridge Island, just to get out on the water. We really don't have too much planned, other than to try to relax and just chill.
  14. No they aren't, this program was running for years before covid.
  15. Casino was definitely open on sea days and nights after we left port when we did that exact itinerary in 2018.
  16. It does say you have to do it before boarding but you have to look for it. https://www.canada.ca/en/public-health/services/diseases/coronavirus-disease-covid-19/arrivecan.html?fbclid=IwAR3aVu77auqz5k2J1CtuznY18XSyrCab-mij1Y7qDUnA6aGQMOY5nCnR888 Edit: sorry don't know how to resize that picture.
  17. We are going to Alaska, round trip from Seattle. Flying in a few days early to see a little more of Seattle and then headed to Icy Strait Point, Skagway, Juneau and Endicott Arm & Dawes Glacier. We haven't cruised since February 2020, so really can't wait. We thought we were cancelling because of my Mom, but my siblings are stepping up and told us to go while we can.
  18. I will see next Wednesday but will be on Quantum the week after. DVR is set though, so will catch up once we get back.
  19. It appeared today. Might want to check yours too.
  20. Anthem definitely has sky loft suites. 🙂 You don't need The Key if you are doing Royal Suite Class. Sky loft has two bathrooms, one upstairs and one downstairs, so that is good for four. I haven't sailed in that type of cabin yet, but will on Anthem's sister ship in less than two weeks, so I will post then. I have sailed Anthem five times though and love that ship. Great entertainment, lots to do, lots of places to eat and an easy port to cruise from (if you are talking Cape Liberty). edit to add link: https://www.royalcaribbean.com/cruise-rooms/royal-suite-class
  21. Just tell them when you order so there is no confusion. The refreshment package should be the first thing they would use but just easy to point it out.
  22. Thanks, I thought I had read something about that. We have seen him many times. Thomas the Tank engine was one of my son's favorite shows as a kid.
  23. Take a cab up to the Citadel. Take one of the early guided tours and stay until the noon firing of the cannon. Walk down the hill to Alexander Keith's and do the brewery tour. Once you enter the tour, you are back in time with actors in period clothing. It ends in their pub with music and two free beers. Continue to the boardwalk for some shopping or a stop at the Maritime Museum. Check out the tugboat from Thomas the Tank Engine if it is still docked there. Continue down the boardwalk back to the ship either grazing at various little takeout places or stop at a restaurant. We have docked at multiple docks there, so depending on where you are, there are some cool things to buy at the market there too.
