When we took our 10 year old grandson with us, we had a simple solution. He stayed with us. If he wanted to swim, we sat at the pool deck. If he wanted to eat, we went to the WJ. Flowrider? Slides? We went too. He moved around these areas freely but always within sight. Outside of AO supervised activities, there was no reason for him to be wandering the ship without us.
With gratuities, drinks run just over $16 each. Drink of the Day $14+, beer & wine by the glass somewhat less. We are not drinkers. A drink each by the pool, maybe 2 for hubby, a glass of wine for dinner from the 2 bottles I brought on board, hubby might have a drink after dinner. Total $325 for the whole 8 day cruise🤷♀️
Just off Explorer, changed about $250 in larger bills at Guest Services during the week. I also went to the bank (not sure what kind of bank would need to be avoided? Maybe you need a new bank?) and got enough small bills to cover all my anticipated tips for porters, hotel maids, shuttle drivers, excursion workers.
I don’t think anyone was being rude/mean/seriously suggesting divorce. Threads always go a little (or a lot) off topic. Sounds like you know what you need and how you might accomplish it. Have a good trip.
No you couldn’t. Southwest’s travel funds reverted to the original purchase date if you used them then cancelled the new flight. Once that expiration date was set, there was no way to extend it besides waiting for the funds to expire then calling & paying the fee. Been a Southwest customer for over 20 years & it has always been this way.
Has unfortunately always been that way til the new policy. Did you call SWA? There was a fee but they could extend the expiration date by 6 months if you called them.
Flying out Thursday for an 8 day cruise with 2 days prior & 1 day after. Hubby & I, 1 21” & 1 25” bag with a very small carry on. I bring bottoms for half the number of days and a top for each day for both of us, 2 bathing suits each, 2 sundresses for me. Hubby will wear sneakers on the plane & live in flip flops. I’ll wear flats & take 2 pairs of nice flip flops & a wedge sandal. Yoga pants & cami for PJs. Very basic make up. I do take every OTC known to man but that’s my only overpack. Neither bag is close to full.
And yes, I am flying Southwest. RT from CT to Ft Lauderdale - $152 each!
And boarding order is based on cabin type (suites first), purchasers of the Key, Crown & Anchor level then general boarding. This means even if you have an early ARRIVAL time, you may be at the back of the line for boarding. And yes, there are chairs in the terminal and announcements made.
Pretty sure my whole family “watched” the video in the car on the way to PC on my phone with only me logged into the app. Son & hubby didn’t have the app & daughter was driving. No issues. Seems as long as one person on the reservation does it, everyone from that reservation can be included? I know that’s how it worked for us.
