Hubby & son wore nice shorts each night we ate at CK. No one batted an eye. And filet night on our cruise was not good. Filet was overcooked and had a very off putting taste. I did not finish mine. We were not all that impressed with CK. Food was on par with MDR and the waiter was kinda snooty.
I have stayed at the Fairfield Inns & Suites, the Sheraton and the Marriot. Three different price ranges, all with airport shuttles, close to various priced food options & in the pick up area of the 2 port shuttles I mentioned.
I made the assumption that my 10 year old grandson would not want a sit down dinner every night of our short 4 day cruise. I was wrong! He absolutely loved the waitstaff fussing over him. Unfortunately we only went the last night. He informed me that, next time, he wants to eat there every night.
We had MTD and the same table every night. Waited in what was a fairly short line (well short in FRONT of me!) the first 2 nights & had table 221. After that, the maitre’d would smile at us and wave us through. So you CAN have an assigned table with MTD.
First, my sympathy for your loss. Second, please reach out to Royal because this is not something you can just do on your own. There are protocols that must be followed. You can reach out thru FB or email mbayley@rccl.com.
Look in the Semoran Blvd area. Lots of hotels in all price ranges with almost all having shuttles from the airport. Walk to restaurants. Then either Cortrans or Cruise Control Transportation to the port in the morning.
I am considering that for our Harmony cruise in May. $100 plus gratuity so around $120pp for 3 meals doesn’t sound bad and Harmony has a lot of options.
