  1. The Getaway’s Baltic cruises for 2022 only include trips up to June 14. Then she 2022: Only until Mid June. Then the Getaway heads back across the Atlantic for the rest of the season. The Dawn remains in the Baltic visiting other ports. . So the rest of the Baltic season on the Getaway is canceled. That change happened in mid March. 2023: Dawn and Prima now currently offer bookings for the 2023 season in Northern Europe with more of an emphasis on the British Isles, Iceland, Ireland and Greenland. The Getaway cancellations happened this week, now just being reported.
  2. Possibly. Not sure when the demand may return for Scandinavia and the Baltics. Plus it doesn’t look like ships will be visiting St.Petersburg by 2023, which was the big draw for most. We were looking at an August 2023 cruise on the Getaway that lined up with a Princess Norway fjords cruise. That cruise isn’t available now. Someone posted earlier that United cancelled their seasonal summer flights from Newark to Stockholm for 2022. So looks like demand is down. Prima is in Northern Europe in 2023 as well. Overall, it does appear the cruises on the web site are focused on Greenland, Iceland, Ireland and The UK. Thanks for the heads up, OP.
  3. I read this is a very nice cabin. The service fee is the gratuity for the crew. It is added to all cabins. Yours may be a little bit more.
  4. He has a break after May 8. He is also on a World Navigator cruise in December. https://www.margaritaville.com/tour-dates
  5. The Getaway is now scheduled to head back to the US in June. May 27 appears to be a go. Here is the roll call for your cruise.
  6. We went with Princess in 2019. The price was the same. The train pulled up right next to the ship. I found this true with all except the excursions Involving a plane or helicopter. Definitely worth comparing, though.
  7. We also think it is possible some of the ports will change. We decided to wait another year.
  8. The suggestion to book something and cancel within 24 hours is a good one. A few airlines will let you place a hold at no charge. Although, you are within 24 hours now, so not sure how that will work. I agree use a west coast airport, preferably Seattle. There is Amtrak as well as buses from Seattle to Vancouver. You could drive… did you check Amtrak from SAC? It meets the coast Starlight at Martinez, I think about 10pm .
  9. Some have reported hanging onto their luggage until after testing. I think this was out of NYC though. Otherwise, yes you have to wait.
  10. We fly Alaska. We are on the West Coast, so more flights here. First class is nice but yes American/United is nicer, and more expensive usually. We even use them to Hawaii. We have for years. You can also buy gift cards at that large warehouse store. $500.00 for $449.00. I even saw them in the warehouse for $399.00 recently. There have been some recent problems, though, as. @Homosassapoints out. Our upcoming August return was cancelled, but we got a replacement quickly. @niniis correct the “One World Alliance” has a large footprint.
  11. https://www.princess.com/plan/standard-cancellation-refund-policy/ things can change
  12. Enjoy! Matt is great. I am sure you will have a great time.
