Isabella, good luck with your choice of cabin. We have stayed in IV cabins twice and really enjoyed them. We also stayed in an aft corner suite and two other suites on the Edge. My only complaint about the aft suite I was seasick do to rough Caribbean Seas and it was jumpy back there. I’m just curious how many people who responded to you with negative comments have ever stayed in an IV stateroom? For sure I know it’s more than a handful and my guess is many more. Have a great cruise.

It’s also the outside seating area for the buffet and it can be very busy.

Just watched NBC Nightly News and the lack of staff in tourist areas was one of the stories. Businesses on Cape Cod (as well as Michigan, Maine and California and others) are having a very difficult time finding summer help again this year. I happen to live on Cape Cod and in Naples FL as well as vacation in Maine and have experienced first hand what Covid has done to the service industry in these places since Spring 2020. Sadly some people think they’re just getting screwed and the glass is half empty. I’ve witnessed what’s going on for two plus years and don’t think what the OP wrote about Celebrity is true: “I’m sure that there are financial analysts in Miami are thinking that people are sailing on the Summit with this level of staffing, let’s extend it to the rest of the fleet.” Everyone is hurting.

Safe travels, not sure Lysol will. All I’m trying to get across is that the crew is wearing masks and passengers are not. It’s probably a combination of the crew and those who a not willing to admit they are not feeling well and don’t get tested and party on.

Or they assumed they did. How about all the unmasked passengers and eating in busy restaurants every night not to mention taking a shuttle into town. Oddly the masked crew was to blame not the unmasked cruisers.
