We were on QM2 for 14 days in June this year, I don't have copies of the Dinner menus but there was no lobster. Surf and Turf on the 3rd formal night was made with prawns. Lobster was on offer last October on Queen Victoria so for me the reduction in selections came this year rather than immediately post pandemic.

These are the timings from our Welcome Aboard Daily Programme on QM2 on June 9th 2023. The room service menu in the room says 3pm but on that day the Daily Programme has 2pm with no Afternoon Tea available. Other ships may have different arrangements.

I'm not sure about afternoon tea but the Daily menu is available from 3pm on Embarkation Day.

It's also a way of delaying part of the payment. I've never understood why people want to pre-pay or have them included in the price paid months ahead. I'd rather pay after the event not before.

I would also add that usually requests need advance notice.

Opening hours vary slightly by ship but generally the start of first sitting in Britannia is earlier than the opening times of the Grill Restaurants.

When are you sailing? We've had a few changes of itinerary and we've always had a notification either direct from Cunard or via a TA.

Senios Officers' Parties are certainly happening on some cruises. The footnotes for the parties are shown. It's possible on cruises with few sea days that there's no time for all of them.

There is a usually a good selection of excursions in ports. Hopefully someone with a current booking can give you some idea of costs. If you join your roll call you might find people to share tours.
