Technically the answer depends on how much extra you are paying per person per night. Also sometimes if you want a certain cabin in a certain location, you may end up having to pay for Concierge Class. Usually Concierge Class cabins are in the better locations on the ship.

If you do not like the tunnel effect from a deep balcony, you will want to stay away from the balconies on the slanted sides of the mid-ship hump. Although it is not shown that way on the deck plan, those balconies are known for being very deep.

Most of the time Solstice/Eclipse will dock at the OPT with her bow pointed towards downtown Sydney (I have seen photos where the reverse was true). So, yes, with that orientation the Opera House will not be on your side of the ship. However this does mean that your starboard side balcony will be facing the Opera House as Eclipse sails past it on her way out of the harbor. BTW, the Opera House guided tour is excellent. And that's why I agreed with you and pointed out the 1%. They are rare and hard to find.

Yes. However, Millennium class ship's FV and Penthouse Suite balconies have views out the rear and sides (270 deg view) and match what I think the OP is looking for. Constellation FV balcony (8166)

Other than perhaps the expensive Reflection Suite, you will not find a stateroom with a balcony that gives you a view in two different directions as you described. The four FV cabins (Deck 7 & 8 at the front of the ship) have a balcony that looks out the side of the ship and has windows that look out over the bow. That's the closest I can think of.

OBC depends on cruise length and stateroom category.

A question for you wine aficionados out there...
mahdnc replied to dlh015's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Very nice! Someone gave my wife and I a nice Waterford crystal decanter as a wedding present. It really is beautiful, but the cut glass prevents you from clearly looking at the wine. Form over function. -
Pre-pandemic, there were no GE kiosks at the Port Everglades cruise ship terminal. However our GE status allowed us to bypass the long line for customs/immigration so that we could go through the manual process which saves us over an hour.

mahdnc replied to REDSTRIPETYPE's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Unfortunately, no points are awarded in this situation. I have not heard of exceptions being made either. I am sorry you had to cancel. -

Decanting accelerates the breathing process of a red wine which is often attributed to improving its taste and aroma. -

Question for those that have used flights by Celebrity
mahdnc replied to cgolf1's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Nice to get the outcome you wanted. We independently bought our air fare for our Nov Galapagos trip. American Airlines had the most convenient schedule (connecting thru MIA), so we went with them. -
In 2022 I earned 43 Club Points from PUPS that didn't require booking a cruise, air, or a social media post. So based on that, the rate of earning was 3.5 Club Points per month.

We successfully used Flights by Celebrity for our Trans-Atlantic cruise late last year. When I compared the cost of flights on FBC's website vs the airline website, I generally found good agreement in pricing. The explanation you received regarding why the FBC prices were higher is something I have not heard before. -
Many shore excursions will quote a price for children as well as adults. If you don't see it in the Celebrity app, you should go to your Cruise Planner section in Celebrity's website.

I taught my son how to play blackjack on one of our Celebrity cruises. He had a lot of etiquette questions to which my answer was "to prevent (or minimize) cheating". Q: Why does the dealer make me put my cash on the table instead of allowing me to hand it to him? A: To prevent cheating Q: Why is the shoe tethered to the table? A: To prevent cheating Q: Why is the dealer restacking my chips with the highest denomination on the bottom? A: To minimize cheating Q: Why can I not enter the game mid-shoe? (this was true on some of our blackjack games) A: To minimize cheating Jan 2018, Solstice: My son draws a deuce on his double down. Fortunately the dealer ended up busting. Whew.
