  1. Nice picture and review. I'm always interested in reading the first impressions of the Edge class ships from passengers who have sailed on other Celebrity ships. Thanks for taking the time to write it.
  2. I don't know if you've already seen it, but here's a link to a Behind The Scenes Tour we took on Constellation on Oct 31st.
  3. Ah. Directly below. Well our combined experience shows that it can be very different on the same ship as far as what it takes to connect up to the stateroom TV. The TV in our stateroom looked pretty old. How about yours (do you remember)?
  4. You are correct. We were in a Constellation FV--stateroom 8166. The TV shown in the picture is in the sitting area. What cabin were you in?
  5. I presume then your intention would be to use the future cruise deposit later at another time or will you let it lapse?
  6. Today my TA was able to get the $50 Cyber Monday OBC added to both bookings that I made earlier this month: Apr 20 2024 Summit Canal cruise (FV cabin) and the Apr 9 2025 Solstice Transpacific sailing (Concierge Class balcony). Based on what I have been reading on this thread, I was expecting to be disappointed. So this is a nice surprise.
  7. We just completed a transatlantic sailing which ended on Nov 6. Our points posted on Nov 11.
  8. Here is the Holiday flyer that was issued for this coming Christmas/NYE.
  9. For clarity: you cannot use the Match Plays when betting with promo chips.
  10. The Cyber Monday sale brings back the extra $50 OBC.
  11. The language is fine. It's the subject that baffles me (esp as a direct reply to my post). So maybe subject police, but I have no powers, just questions.
  12. My post was to share the customer service response I observed during the hour that I spent in the iLounge. I don't understand what your adapt-or-die reply meant to add to it.
  13. I don't think you really had a serious question for me to answer.
  14. No one complained to the iLounge techs for the hour I was there either
  15. Yes, but you may want to be checking as early as Dec 4.
  16. During our recently completed TA on Constellation, the Celebrity Today warned us in advance that the internet speed would be especially poor during the middle stage of the crossing and it was--it was unusable for about a day and a half. During that time I spent an hour in the iLounge using one of their iMacs to print out something. While there, I observed a steady stream of passengers coming to the iLounge asking about the internet outage ("when will it come back"?)and they all received some form of renumeration in the end without asking for it. The most common form was getting their Basic Wi-Fi package upgraded to Premium for free. In fact a few passengers came to the iLounge to have their Elite minutes activated because they didn't know how. In each case the iLounge employee explained that the internet was not operating at the moment, but he would increase the number of free minutes that they would get because of the inconvenience. So lesson learned, it does pay to go to the iLounge if you have a problem. The employees are motivated to keep all their customers happy--after all, aren't they subject to evaluation on the post cruise customer satisfaction survey? The ability to upgrade passenger's Wi-Fi packages or add minutes cost them nothing and I was impressed how often they resorted to it.
  17. I took your good idea and looked at the ESPN Caribbean TV schedule myself. I wouldn't have thought they would be showing the NBC Sunday Night Football game, but I see they are. So I also stand corrected. Of course, they are showing tomorrow's Monday Night Football game since ESPN has the televising rights to MNF. However they aren't showing the Thursday Night Football game (the original subject of this thread!).
  18. Here are a couple of photos posted by others on Cruise Critic that you might find helpful in addition to the previous posts:
  19. Yes, I have watched NFL games at sea. In all cases that I can remember--such as our recent Constellation TA--Celebrity will take the network feed (CBS, FOX, NBC, etc) and they will put it on one of the special stateroom channels (not an ESPN channel). For example, here is the channel line up on Constellation' stateroom television (courtesy of Tee & Chili): And here is our Oct 30th Celebrity Today which had the (woeful) Steeler game on Channel 22 and the Bears game on Channel 23. It was not carried on either of the ESPN channels. Here is the Dec 25 2016 Steelers v Ravens game on our Infinity stateroom TV. It was not carried on an ESPN channel either.
  20. That is something I have yet to see on any of our cruises.
