Out of nosy curiosity I took a look at your eclipse cruise roll call. The passenger that you speak of is quite ambitious in his desire to completely redo the itinerary. Good luck to him.
@Maligator, wait list is a very good suggestion. Also if the FVs (to be renamed as UVs next year) become available for less than five passengers, you will also see them online (as opposed to needing to "inquire").
I think you have enough information to begin the process of having your TA removed. It's one thing for Celebrity to transfer the booking from one TA to another as they don't financially benefit from it. However it may be more problematic public relations-wise for them to simply take the booking away from a TA and then keep it for themselves. However you have a good reason to ask for a compassionate release. Let us know how it turns out.
No complaints, just a debate. Yes we all saw that--it is hard to miss. However as was pointed out by the previous poster, when you select the package and then checkout, you are only charged $9.99. So either the upgrade package is mis-priced in the cart or you are buying the upgrade for one day. I think the former is more likely.
New email and offer received today. 30 sailings to choose from. All are 9-11 nights on either Constellation, Edge, Equinox, or Silhouette. All sailings are in Jan-Mar 2023.
Welcome to Cruise Critic. The ship will adjust its time to match the local time of the port throughout your Med cruise.
As far independent shorex tips go, yes--definitely look at our sailing's roll call to see what is being planned. You also may want to look at other roll calls that visit your ports to get additional ideas.
I agree except the voucher that you bought and then present is intended to be for the whole cruise.
The idea of a physical upgrade voucher perplexes me. For our recently completed Constellation cruise, I called the Captains Club desk in advance of the cruise to buy the upgrade at the prevailing sale price plus the Captains Club Elite discount. When I got on board, the premium wifi package was there to be selected when I logged into Constellation's wifi system.
Prime indicates a better location--for M and S class it usually means a higher deck. I do not believe there are Prime Inside cabin categories on E class.
I would make 2 separate bookings--one for each cabin--to fully use the OBC. The actual group assignments are not handed out until the day of the tour and it is done in person when you show up at the rendezvous point. There you can ensure that your family of 4 are assigned to the same group and are wearing the same Celebrity sticker number.
