  1. That deadline has long passed if the OP purchased the flights on Jan 12.
  2. Yes, this “open jaw” flight itinerary is quite common.
  3. It’s still worth a call. Perhaps FBC will allow you to cancel or cancel with a fee. Otherwise you may have to get use to the idea that you’ve finished with the air planning for this cruise. Good luck.
  4. I was thinking exactly the same thing. However I inferred from the first post that the tickets were purchased on Jan 12.
  5. I agree, call your TA to get it straightened out. I think there is an online option to pay for your tickets immediately when you are booking on Flights By Celebrity’s website. Maybe you did that by mistake? Or maybe it’s their error. So contact your TA.
  6. Thanks, Jim, for the news. W̶h̶a̶t̶'s̶ n̶e̶x̶t̶?̶ R̶e̶q̶u̶i̶r̶i̶n̶g̶ 1̶,0̶0̶0̶ s̶h̶a̶r̶e̶s̶ t̶o̶ g̶e̶t̶ t̶h̶e̶ s̶h̶a̶r̶e̶h̶o̶l̶d̶e̶r̶ b̶e̶n̶e̶f̶i̶t̶?̶?̶
  7. No need to worry! Just remember that a picture = 1,000 words. Hopefully your onboard Wi-Fi will cooperate. Regardless, just make sure you have fun.
  8. I very much look forward to reading about your cruise. Have fun.
  9. We have booked air through Celebrity for United and Delta flights. We were able to select seats on both airlines. I am not sure if American is like that. You should at least be able to view your AA flight online through your AA account. If not, check to be sure that your reservation has your AA freq flyer account listed against it. I have noticed in the past that our freq flyer account was not listed against our air booking even though I filled entered the information during the booking process.
  10. A reddit user has the phone. The OP is reposting it. Here is the reddit post.
  11. The OP does not have possession of the iPhone.
  12. To me the only downside to booking your hotel through Celebrity is that you will not typically receive any award points from that hotel's loyalty program. That is not a deal breaker for many people.
  13. The current Book Later flyer that is posted on Celebrity's trade website has language consistent with what you posted: I looked at the Book Later form that was included in the Jan 2 2024 issue of the Celebrity Today (Solstice, Singapore to Hong Kong) and the language is different. It has a 6 month expiration date for the loss of the bonus OBC and the loss of the deposit. Here is a link to it (see page 6): link. So that tells me that the new T&Cs language was adopted within the past two weeks. Thanks for pointing this out.
  14. Effective Jun 1 of last year, the deposit requirement for suites through the Future Cruises Department is the same as booking online. In most cases 10% deposit is required. So the only benefit for booking onboard is the extra OBC. If you purchase a Book Later option for $100 pp and then use it later for a suite, you have to pay the difference for the higher suite deposit so that loophole is gone. For more information: link
  15. The new policy says 48 hours "prior to the scheduled arrival time" and not 48 hours prior to the start of the excursion. It is curious language but it is quite clear.
  16. It is a huge pity that Olympic Restaurant is long gone. You would have been very impressed.
  17. I think the owner needs to get rid of that old phone and upgrade anyway.
  18. I believe the canal priority system also favors bookings done way in advance. I think it’s the additional later bookings that are getting affected by the lowered canal transit quota.
  19. We are on the Summit canal sailing in April (westbound). I am not expecting our sailing to be affected by the drought measures that the canal authorities have effected. Right now it is affecting freight. Summit will almost certainly go through the old locks which use less water than the new larger locks.
  20. The shorex cancellation policy has been recently updated (link). In general, you can cancel 48 hours before the ship is scheduled to arrive at that port in order to get a full refund. There are exceptions to this (medical illness, switching to a different shorex). There are some special shore excursions that require cancellation 30 days in advance. it is spelled out in the shorex cancellation FAQ in the link above.
  21. Option 2 because of the overnight in Istanbul and the opportunity to see Athens by adding nights there before or after the cruise. I think Silhouette is the best ship of its class. She has more specialty restaurants to choose from than Equinox. As a bonus, Option 2 is longer by one night.
  22. We took a Dec-Jan cruise in Solstice. Every night that we were in Blu, I ordered at least one course from the MDR menu. Also the Blu staff made sure I got breadsticks in our bread basket which aren’t normally served there.
