  1. I never saw ballroom dancing in the Galaxy on the Symphony. It was usually in the Starlite Lounge. There is a nice dance floor and a small stage for the band. Patty
  2. Wondering how many of the "usual suspects" here on the Crystal forum sailed on the Harmony? I didn't, go back to the Symphony in 2007. Patty
  3. There were 4 dance hosts on my Serenity cruise in July. I am not a dancer but one of the hosts had been a table mate (back with fixed seatings) at least 10 years ago.
  4. Information about the excursions is on the website. New Crystal is hardly a mess. Those of us who have been on sailings can attest that it is every bit as good as Old Crystal and in a few places, even better. Just because the entertainment/enrichment hasn't been listed by cruise on the website seems like a petty complaint. Do any other luxury cruise lines include that information? Patty
  5. Very true as to the desks, but although it looks smaller on the diagram, I don't think the sofa is smaller in the 2018 vs the Classic. Have never sat in the chair in either but I'd guess you'd be ok in either until you get to 250 pounds and/or over 6"4". Patty

    Osteria

This is the most casual of all the restaurants on Crystal. Fish is a frozen, breaded piece, to be served on a bun. Don't think anything at the Grill would be to your liking since you seemed to not like many items on Taste's menu which most would consider a step up from the Grill.

    Osteria

Lunch isn't like dinner at Tastes. A sample menu is available on the Crystal website under Ships and then Dining. The menu is rather limited but with some favorites from Old Crystal.
  8. So, if they had sailed and floated around the Caribbean and you did everything there is to do on Crystal in the evening, it would have been ok, but it wasn't ok to do all those same things on board while docked? Patty
  9. So, would it be better to not court travel agents who will then promote Crystal and have the line go under because they can't attract enough passengers? Patty
  10. Logic would say difficult when the same Uber drivers can pick up airport runs at the port for much more money.
  11. Most assuredly, those 2 ports are just about 50 miles apart.
  12. Are the Aquamarine Ocean Views on both ships the handicap rooms? Wonder how the Sapphire Ocean View on Deck 7, Symphony, are selling? Patty
  13. Isn't the increased fee on just the Nova?
  14. As I said earlier, there are 3 Holiday Inns on the beach (across the street, actually), so be sure you know which one you have reserved.
  15. When I said 8 months, that’s the interval between now and the cruise the OP is thinking of booking. I believe most credit cards will cover 540 days, so basically almost a year and a half.
  16. I suppose we don’t know what the owners are willing to endure, but they are long time travel industry experts, so I can’t imagine they went into the purchase and restart with rose colored glasses. Certainly wouldn’t be afraid to put my money on the line for service just 8 months away. My understanding, if you put it on a credit card, especially American Express, but also Visa and Master Card, and the vendor defaults, you are covered when it’s only 8 months out.
  17. All three Holiday Inns (2 are Express) are on Seawall Blvd. Be sure you make a reservation at the correct one.
  18. If you go to the deck plan on crystalcruises.com and hover your mouse over each suite, a box will pop up and tell you if it's classic, 2018 or new. I don't believe there are more than a few Aquamarines that are new on Serenity. Patty
  19. Was listening to the 60s channel on Sirius XM and they played "Come and Get Your Love". I'll never hear that without thinking of John Joseph! Patty
  20. Everyone received the same amount. The person you quoted wasn't owed nearly as much as you were owed.
  21. I believe I've read that those not in the US will get a wire transfer. You will be contacted to get the information for the transfer, but not until early 2024.
  22. To your comment at the end of your post, what's sad is that if they broke into your house, stole your silver, got caught and went to trial, they might end up in prison, but in this case they are still living as high off the hog as ever without one thought to everyone they (can't say that word)! Patty
  23. Think that will be hard to accomplish when the central issue is people's MONEY!!😱😵🤪 Patty
  24. I have booked 2 cruises in a Double Oceanview as the Single was not available. I decided not to waitlist for the Single as it is unclear what Crystal will do. In both cases I paid 150% of the Double fare listed. The Single varies but has been around 120% of the Double fare. That is not to say that the 50% will always apply. I think it depends on how well the cruise is selling. So, I think the answer is "it depends". Patty
