  1. But not booze! 😱🥂🍷🍸🤪
  2. Keith, Please defend how you are not going with the University of Texas considering your daughter is a graduate of that esteemed institution?!?! Patty P.S. Hook 'em Horns!!
  3. I graduated with a marketing degree back in the dark ages (1968) and even then we learned that all advertising is manipulative!! 😱🤪🤑 Patty
  4. 18 on Symphony and 14 on Serenity (if you look at the deck plans you can see all the cabin categories and their locations). I have 2 cruises booked on Serenity, the first made 6 days after bookings opened, and was not able to get a solo cabin. I'd "guess" that the loyal Crystal solo cruisers are still loyal. Patty
  5. There's no way they could design a program that would make everyone happy and allow them to break even so that they can be viable long term. Patty
  6. The bigger question, would you ever take a cruise with the new Crystal? I still contend that social media tends to be an echo chamber. Patty
  7. It’s the usual suspects every time, just a very tiny percentage of those owed money by Genting who are posting on any social media. Manfredi/A&K had to know that a certain number of those owed money would never come back, no matter what the offer. Patty
  8. I was on the Silver Muse in December. It wasn't terrible but it wasn't worth the price they charge - food varied from bad to fine, but generally about 60% of the way to the food on old Crystal. Service in total wasn't up to the old Crystal's standards. Entertainment and enrichment was lacking. I think some of it is a result of the squeeze from the Royal Caribbean bean counters. IF (that's a big if) the new Crystal is as good as the old Crystal, even if some things are different, I can't see ever going back to Silversea. Patty
  9. I’d never book a private excursion with others I didn’t know. Too afraid I’d end up with someone with issues. At least on the cruise ship excursions and the large coaches, you can get away from the ones who are nuts. The coach is large and there are 20 plus others to hang with. 🤪😵‍💫😱 Patty
  10. The sushi and sashimi is similar to the Nobu restaurants and the menu has the same vibe, but isn't identical. You wouldn't book a Crystal cruise just because it has the Nobu restaurant named Umi Uma, but the restaurant is one thing (among many that hopefully return) that make people return to Crystal. You get one included dining experience at Umi Uma with all cabin categories Sapphire and lower. After that, if space is available, you can dine there again for $50. Dining at a Nobu on land would start at about $150/person and the sky's the limit from there. Patty
  11. I checked my account and the posts I made to the old Crystal forum are gone except for the old threads like The Bistro that were moved to the new forum. I guess our total post count does include those that are "gone with the wind" on the old Crystal forum. ?!?! Patty
  12. The old forum "disappeared" last week, so no need to distinguish between 2 forums. Patty
  13. The op said 2 hours to airport, so it must be IAH. Guess it could take that long on occasion, but hope it’s more like 75 to 90 minutes.
  14. Crystal is coming back but there’s no casino now. Crystal fans are hoping the enrichment, entertainment and food will be up to the old Crystal. Cruising starts in August and we will know then.
  15. Just noticed on my Facebook page that today is Judith Morrison's birthday. There has been discussion about those with 100+ cruises on Crystal and how many of those are no longer with us. Remembering all who have gone on to the permanent world cruise.💖💖💖 Patty
  16. It's a win win until something goes wrong. I'll let "Flyer Talker" explain again how all airline tickets are not created equal.
  17. Had the new owners not kept the name and rehired many employees then people shouldn’t expect anything to stay the same. However, they did keep the name and rehired many employees, so it doesn’t seem unreasonable to expect some other things to stay more or less the same. Note, I wrote some, not all.
  18. If you look at the deck plans. on Serenity the cabins forward of the solo cabins aren't included and on Symphony the cabins on Deck 8 behind the life boats aren't included. I have no knowledge, but common sense is that they intend to use those for entertainers and enrichment people. Time will tell. Patty
  19. I agree. The Sapphires are priced at 1/3 plus more than the Aquamarines. The only amenities I see as added to the Sapphires are the coffee maker and 1 bag of laundry ever 10 days. Also the size of the cabin. Patty
  20. I've booked 2 cabins on Deck 7 (Serenity), not designated solo cabins (those already fully booked) and my single supplement was 50% on both. Patty
  21. The BIG change is that with the increase in "penthouse" cabins, only CP and Jr. CP will be able to order from specialties to be served in their cabin. 😢😱😞 Patty
  22. I seriously doubt that you will notice a difference in daytime dress on NC vs OC. Patty
  23. The Silver Muse doesn’t have SALT. Not sure what it is, but it’s on Dawn, Moon and will be on Nova when it’s launched. Patty
