  1. Don't I recall that during Edie's "reign" there were some TV ads for Crystal? Patty
  2. I’m much less concerned with the decor than their serving the variety and quality of food we had come to expect at the Bistro. Hint, hint, Portuguese tarts!! Patty
  3. Agree. Tried it once and decided there was no way I'd want to waste calories on it. Think that must be another Royal Caribbean cost cutting. Patty
  4. Both Ancestry and 23andme update and make small changes about once a year. Their numbers are similar, but not identical. 23andme has more detail. Their Jewish % is 9.8 vs. 11 for ancestry. Ancestry doesn’t do fractions, so that’s why 23andme has more detail. My most “interesting” is 0.3 Northern India/Pakistan!!! Go figure!! 😵‍💫 Patty
  5. Yes, and it “counts”, my mother’s mother’s mother. In fact, according to 23andme.com, my haplogroup is K1a1b1a, which is Jewish. Patty
  6. According to ancestry.com I'm just 11% Jewish, so could you please tell me what that is in the second photo? It's a little "suspicious" looking and I need to know before I put it in my mouth! Patty
  7. Uber has made an agreement with the Port to pay the fees necessary to access picking up passengers.
  8. No, these days everyone is doing it. Have certainly seen the same from Silversea.
  9. I'll stay with my original position. Why would Crystal allow people to "game" the program? I'm sure someone will "test" it and let us know.
  10. Saw a post on Facebook that the art instructors will also be back. All of this is very encouraging. I'm excited about the mushroom soup and the carpaccio. Since Nobu is back, I'm expecting all the goodies there. Patty
  11. Why don’t you try doing it and see if it works?! I can’t as I don’t have any certificates as I was either smart enough or lucky enough to use all my outstanding credits with the old Crystal before they went kaput. Patty
  12. I don’t believe Crystal would allow that as a way to “get around” how they are allowing certificates and B2B. You’d also loose the discount allowed for B2B bookings.
  13. The way I understand it, all cabins have “butlers” but the lower end cabins have “junior butlers”. Guess that means, don’t expect much.
  14. The answers are - no, not a former employee; no, not a current employee; no, no comps (in fact he books the more $$$ suites). Yes, he loves Crystal. Patty
  15. Other places, as long as there is a place to bathe, a shower, a tub without shower or a tub/shower, it's a full bath. Think I remember reading in California, the shower alone or the tub without a shower is called a 3/4 bath.
  16. I've never understood why people use those third parties. I've never found better rates there. Others must have better luck with them.
  17. Assume the drawers inside the closets will still remain. Since I'm a solo cruisers, that always provided enough space for me, but I do understand why the configuration would concern doubles. Patty
  18. Wonder if we will see more of this since Silversea, Seabourn and Regent are now owned by the Big Boys?
  19. Crystal cruisers would only be so lucky to have Blue Bell on board!! If you had ever tasted the Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla, you'd know I'm right! Patty
  20. On the topic of cruise lines and advertising emails, don't forget that emails are the cheapest advertising that can be done by any business. In the past month I remember getting email advertisements from Holland America (last sailed in 2010), Princess (last sailed in 2013), Disney, Silversea, and Crystal. Also from lines I've never sailed including Seabourn, Explora, Ritz Carlton, Ponant, Scenic and Viking. What does this tell me about what's selling on the various lines - not much I'd say. Patty
  21. Has anyone here been bored enough with not having a real life that they have gone through all 8 lists to find anyone they know and if they know the person has been reimbursed by their credit card? All lists are alphabetical by first names. It seems to me that this is just a way to legally eliminate all claims that have been reimbursed whether or not the people informed Moecker. There must be more to come reimbursed by credit cards and then everyone reimbursed by insurance. Have fun checking. It will keep you out of trouble. Patty
  22. Some people who post here have a history of being reliable with the information they impart, others, not so much. My thought, take everything posted here before Crystal announces with a grain of salt. You'll have to personally determine how large that grain might be! 🤪😉🙃 Patty
