  1. You’re right, it’s supposed to be double only on suites, but maybe they had a special double point promo?
  2. I can’t answer your question, but after years and years of seeing the same questions over and over again (understandable, there’s new people all the time), I think this is the first time I’ve seen someone ask this! That’s a very good question!
  3. I asked the question about wine in CK on the Oasis on the social media place, and got a bunch of different responses from the various Oasis class ships whether the wine was included or not in CK during that 5-8pm happy hour. Sometimes yes, sometimes no, even on the same ship. Sounds like it various depending on the crew. Obviously you could get up and get a drink from the lounge next door yourself, but who wants to do that?? 😁 Does anyone know if they have almond milk during the day in the suite lounge for coffees?
  4. >>6. "You get one appetizer or salad, one entree, two sides, and a dessert." Regardless of whether you are using Platinum dinner or Free at Sea dinner, they finally got all the waiters at the specialty restaurants to the same meeting to impose the same rules. But, rules are made to be broken -- no charge for ordering an appetizer and salad at Cagneys! Funny that they’re imposing the same rules, but the wrong rules. The terms and conditions only mention the upcharge items and the one entree rule, that’s it. https://www.ncl.com/specialty-dining-package/faq
  5. There have been stories of ghost sittings of a woman on the Dawn, and yes, a woman died falling off her balcony trying to climb over to the neighboring balcony where her friends were. 😳😳😳
  6. I actually almost bought a 2013 S60, ordered it but didn’t leave a deposit since we were a prior Volvo customer, did some more looking online and realized it did not have the spare tire (my older wife’s Volvo did have one), and cancelled the order, and got an Audi A6 instead. Used the spare tire at least 3 times during the life of that car! Glad I did change. It doesn’t even have to be a full sized spare, donuts are fine, too. mmmm… donuts.
  7. We’ve never done it ourselves, but yes, we did see it last time on the Breakaway with a table near us, they ordered through the Matre D the night before. He brought the menus to the table for them to look over, then came back a while later and took their orders for the next evening. Enjoy!
  8. did you use a laptop or a phone? Trying to figure out which one might be better for the camera usage. Thanks!
  9. Seemingly that is correct that you don’t. But January is forever from now. It could definitely change again before now and then!
  10. On Anthem pre-covid we had a lot of great dinners in CK, better than Wonderland to us (I think we caught it in a bad off night). But we really didn’t like the breakfasts, especially when compared to the NCL Haven breakfasts back then. On our upcoming Oasis, we’re curious to see if that was an anomaly of sorts, since everyone always says CK breakfasts are great! We have 4 specialties booked and 3 CK nights (night 1 for the filet, 2, and 6 for the lobster), so we’re hoping that’s a good balance! It’s great that they have every night’s menu in the app, really helps for planning.
  11. Ps I know you already mentioned it, but just confirming back in Oct last year, we saw a guy have to go back to his cabin and change because he tried to get into Ocean Blue (inside) on the Breakaway in nice shorts. That they definitely do enforce. The food was great by the way!
  12. Meanwhile Patrick was always one of the most divisive concierges in terms of opinions here. We didn’t like him at all! 😁
  13. Yeah the steak and eggs was a small filet, now the small strip steak isn’t nearly as good.
  14. Any appetizer recommendations for the Oasis Giovanni’s? thanks!
  15. I know they’ve been highlighting this from a corporate perspective as well, but it’ll be interesting to see if they can convey this well in marketing. The Prima class ships will seemingly have a very different experience than the rest of the NCL fleet. (Almost like sailing on Celebrity instead of Royal.)
  16. When they were actually checking tests themselves, it might have been a valid charge (and we cruised last Oct when it was $75 pp), but at this point that’s such a racket. Hopefully the cruise lines can at least make sure it doesn’t go on past that date.
  17. Wow, excellent, enjoy!! Definitely retirement (or semi-retirement) goals!! 👍😁
  18. I just saw your signature, are you sailing for two months straight??? Two months work, two months sailing sounds like a really nice ratio!!
  19. Thanks! And thanks to everyone in general, we did watch a couple of YouTube videos to get our bearing, but learning a lot more here about the island!! It’s literally the only port we’re going to get off the ship at on our Oasis trip. 😁
  20. We’re thinking about using this as well, so curious about the answers to your questions!
  21. Since this thread is spinning off into other questions, any comparison between Coco Cay and DCL’s Castaway Cay? Specifically will the water at the beaches be as crystal clear at Coco Cay as it can be at Castaway? Any other comparisons (don’t care about the water slides/kids activities). thanks!
  22. An iPhone will tell you if an AirTag that is not yours is “traveling with you.” Agreed though, it’s sad that any piece of new technology will be used for nefarious reasons sooner or later, and in this case, sooner.
  23. The boosters expected to be available in Sept/Oct will be formulated for the omicron BA4/5 that are out now. Granted, by then we may be dealing with 6 or 7, but that’s still not a year out of date. It’ll be a lot closer than the existing boosters which are still based on OG/Delta (those are a year out of date!)
