  1. A friend suggested to ask for a wheelchair. How does on do that? Call the airlines?
  2. I’m on a 14 day cruise, solo, & looked into bidding for a mini-suit. The minimum price was $325 which I thought was good until I saw that I would have to pay double, $650. WOW…I didn’t realize that solos have to pay double. No thanks! Tom😀
  3. I’m flying on United on a Princess Cruise & I’m not sure if I need to bring a walker. Anyone had an experience bringing a walker on a plane?
  4. No problems with anything magnetic. Here’s a magnetic sign I always have on my door. I have a large & small one depending on what I put on my door. If it’s Christmas time I put a string of lights that are on a timer. Other decorations I have magnets that I use just for the door. I’ve decorate my door at Christmas time. A lot of nice comments. I’ll use my decorations again on my Christmas cruise. I also have a CC friend that makes me a sign just for my cruise. I print it on card stock to attach to my door. You’ll see a copy below. Anybody else with door decorations post any photos that you have. Tom😀
  5. Regarding the bathroom light…I bring a night light that I plug into the bathroom socket so there is always a light on at night vs the bright bathroom light on. This might also work. Tom😀
  6. I agree that the ships tour was well worth the money. Do you go to the PSD to inquire? Anyone know if it’s offered on all of the Princess Ships? I’ve been doing the Chef’s table, I organized a group of CC members on my cruise, & have throughly enjoyed every one. The same kind of meal here in San Francisco would easily be $400-500. Tom
  7. That’s correct. They are the only 2 Princess Ships designed to have this meal. Tom
  8. I’ve been organizing a group of people for the chef’s table on my cruise i usually have been accommodated. I have a list for a cruise in December on the Discovery Princess and I’m going to ask for the 360° dinner or the chef‘s table and I’ll be curious to see what happens. I'm well known with a lot of the officers & crew so perhaps that might make a difference. Tom
  9. I wonder what would happen if your friends inquired once on the ship? Tom
  10. Here's what I ordered from Amazon. I keep it on my wrist, so I never have to worry about leaving my stateroom without it. Something similar would work as well. Tom
  11. I'd be interested if anyone had ever used it. Tom
  12. I'm on a cruise in December & just went onto my booking under "Food & Beverage Experiences" & could book either the breakfast or dinner. I could pick which day I wanted but not the time so I assume the time would be done once on the ship. Tom
  13. You don't mention which port you are sailing out of which might make a difference. I sail mainly from San Francisco & I usually arrive at the terminal around 9:30 am & at around 10 am we are let into the terminal & around 11 am are boarding the ship. I assume that other ports may be different. I cruised last year on Carnival from our old cruise terminal in San Francisco & we were outside in 3 different lines for 90 minutes until we were allowed into the terminal with no explanation. I choose to arrive early as I have never seen any long lines at our new terminal & thus avoid any long lines & I prefer to have my lunch in the MDR when it opens around 12 noon & have a leisurely meal & avoid the crowds of people at the buffet. Tom
  14. I've never heard of anyone applying a FCD to an already booked cruise. The FCD is used as your deposit so I'm not sure what you think that you would gain. Can you explain you reason for wanting to do this? Tom
  15. That's interesting about no Phones. I follow someone who is on YouTyube with a Travel channel & he posted a number of photos. Tom
  16. I'm also on the April Total Eclipse cruise in April. I have a group for the chef's table so perhaps we will get assigned to this. It would be a great experience from what I have seen. Tom
  17. I'm curious if anyone has changed their stateroom once on board & what happened & was there any charge? Tom
  18. From my experience the ship has really been decorated up very fancy + a fun Halloween contest. You'll love it seeing other people dresses up in costumes. Tom
  19. Usually around 10 - 10:30 am & I'm usually there around 9:30 am & there is usually a line formed. Tom
  20. I usually get there early to the theatre as I like to sit in the front row center, so I don't have any tall heads in front of me, plus your close to everything that's happening. The best theatre seat in my opinion. Tom
  21. In San Francisco, my main boarding port, there is a separate waiting area for Elite/Platinum, but even if you're the 1st in the terminal, people are crowd around the boarding door, so from my experience it doesn't really matter when you board as people have entered 45 minutes after I did & still boarded first. Suggestion from my experience, in San Francisco, is to get there before they open up the terminal & I've never experienced a long line into the terminal as others have had boarding later. Tom
  22. Suggestion to use the “CHAT” feature & let us know what happens. Tom😀
  23. I just did a search & didn't see Princess listed as members only unless I missed something, Tom
  24. Can I buy more than 5 Princess gift cards at one time or can I make multiple purchases? If I buy 9 gift cards I will have saved $360. How will I know which gift card if I have any credit on? Tom
  25. Ken, Your link really helped, Thanks Sooo much! Tom
