  1. I don't ever recall you saying you had the 'Silent of The Lambs' room.
  2. It will be interesting to hear your thoughts on BA. If you thought the OS shower was tight, don't book anything less than a suite.
  3. The OS on Jewel class had a separate tub and shower. They were not connected but adjacent. I've only seen a few updates over the years on the various ships, including Dawn class as the OS are nearly identical except Dawn class has glass door vs curtain between main bed and living room. I'll have to do some checking. The one thing I recall after refurbs long time ago is they yanked the TV above the tub.
  4. We did Newlywed on RCCL long time ago as we were just married. Don't recall getting anything. First and last RCCL due to numerous reasons.
  5. I'm sure MKing will get back to you promptly. It is mid day Sunday so he is probably having lunch out and will be posting said pictures of lunch in NYC. He might also be watering plants or watching harbor cams.
  6. For us they had diet coke, coke zero, sprite zero. One breakfast asked for coke zero in Haven. Asked if I wanted can or tap. Said can. Told can is a charge even with package.
  7. Maybe the newest ship gets the newest terminal. For your convenience, of course.
  8. Looks like from quick web search Jean Ann Ryan still doing shows. How about trying them?
  9. I also went to spelling bee in fourth or fifth grade. Could not sleep all night. First word to me was 'contemporary'. I botched it even asking for use in a sentence 'what will the contemporary cruiser look like in 2024'. I guess our two kids fall into millennial bracket. Unless we are paying and they have time off, a cruise is not on top of list of things to do. Their friends, neither. At work, only three of us out of a few hundred cruise. One old fart like me, one 40ish. I get very few requests from anyone about cruises. Once in awhile DW will have a co-worker ask. Her sister just sailed BA and said never again. To top it off, she got Corona a week after getting home. I can't give any fair input though as lately we've been sailing off season on longer trips so it has been mostly old farts like us. I will say it does seem like more non US folks though.
  10. I want to say at one time they had a listing per category as to what each got. Over time the categories got messed with on various ships even with POA super odd. I was worried our H5 OS on Prima would not get them plus the soda and water but we did. Good question though as that room sleeps same or more, depending on ship as a GV. But it isn't a H1.
  11. GV has been six for as long as I can remember. As much as they are charging for the GVs these days they should have a fully stocked bar.
  12. And all the non orange not usable if bad weather. The port side orange was fine and never too crowded on our trip except bar pretty busy. Restaurant has two parts and tons of room. I got the feeling our TA was unusual though as we'd see some folks in the hallway but we never saw them in the lounge or restaurant. The elevators were a nice addition to quickly get around.
  13. We've seen numerous times where they have raised prices only to have sale. Of course, no different than on land, caveat emptor. We didn't buy anything on Prima from shops. Didn't have any extra obc, prices online or warehouse club better.
  14. Malta is a neat port and city. Had breakfast one morning and a sub cruised out to sea.
  15. So what I have gathered is the Contemporary Cruiser likes to sail and sustain, willing to accept higher prices, less service, may like carts and buffet but eschew hash browns, for their convenience, of course. Imo, part of Indulge problem is the guests. Food comes out in nano second yet folks linger after eating. Couples take up a six seat circular table with one person on each end so no sharing.
  16. We sailed POA in 2006 when they had three ships in the area. It was bad. Swore it off. Reviews got better over the years. Sailed again March 2016, one month prior to OP. Booked as it was unique post drydock trip SFO to Hawaii. Other than a few things not done, it felt like any other NCL ship, very good. Food and service like any other ship in fleet. Big improvement from 2006. Since restart though, reports about some venues not open and staffing.
  17. That may be from their website but in reality what happens can vary widely. Moet, they've been cheaping out on that for over ten years. Canned soda and water varies widely. Sometimes plenty of supply others have to keep asking. Booze sometimes is delayed a day due to 'having to get from stores'.
  18. Many of the Havens, except GA and now Prima Class, have a covered pool lounge area with a movable roof. Jewel class are small, but still something. I'd agree, suited for warm weather. We had 11 days in cold and that outside Haven area wasted space.
  19. How to get rid of them? On our Dawn cruise one family thought it was to place outside door in the hallway.
  20. But if weather not good, that Haven outside space is useless.
  21. Unless I'm missing something here, MSC sails from Brooklyn, NCL does not.
  22. Oh, and to mention, going to YC at dinner the constant 'we are able to find a table for you' gets old. And to pile on, it was by a column.
  23. We've sailed Mera 4 times since restart. Last was October. Normally we do Diamond at BC for lunch since YC dinner and always menu good. Last trip, no, not good and go to filet not good over 11 days in YC. Could use Diamond at Holas too but it is only $17 so why. BC always good except Cobb salad was bowl of basically green beans this time around. We actually started checking menu and ate at buffet three nights. Trying to get last minute reservations at a specialty not going to happen. Even a couple days in advance a no go despite walking past a restaurant and not very busy.
