    Your bill

Mera October, no. Took picture on TV. Matched what hit card. Reviewed during trip.
  2. Definitely a decline in YC food. We sailed Mera twice in Feb then eleven nights in October. Go to filet awful. Only three of seven good. BC held normal high quality.
  3. No bunks in Mera YC. Also don't think Mera YC has any drop from ceiling beds. The sofas are not big but fine for kids your ages.
  4. I don't spend a ton of time on fb, but when I do and see the posts on MSC my eyes spin on amount of mis-information and one offs. Here there are very knowledgeable people about the product. We do tend to argue at times though. We've sailed Mera 4 times all in YC. Best deal for specialty is Hola's at $17 pp. Don't know if kid discount. Tons of food. Make advanced reservations. Open lunch and dinner. Butcher's Cut meal also great but more expensive.
  5. Have not seen meal deals onboard. They seem to like reservations ahead of time. Even being in YC and top status at a not full restaurant last minute a no go. Even two days in advance, no go.
  6. We sailed Spirit twice, both before refurb. They did a nice job and one of my favorite ships. But with suite pricing now days, no way.
  7. Hope for you too. We even thought the dinners were a big disappointment. Walked out one night, went to buffet a couple others after previewing menu. Go to filet sucked. Only three of seven edible, rest were rubber, no exaggeration.
  8. We had Hugh this past October. Saw him once over eleven days pass from one door to another by the bar. If that is most he can manage, why bother with the position. Seemed other staff tried to pick up slack with mixed results. George, after several sailings, wife and I independently figured out issue. Where is Robert or Arthur when you need them?
  9. Welcome to CC. Do what Morgs said, one adult and child in each yc room. You didn't mention what category you won as yc insides max out at two. Good news for you the beds separate. The larger issue is the keycards. MSC does not do that from our experience and many reports here. I'm sure we'll get someone reporting they've done it. You will get a card and band which open doors. Also, how is someone going to check in at the yc counter with name x while reservation has your name?
  10. Thanks for all the pics. Never done that route but have considered. Do you have pics post cruise that the grow operation is sustaining? How about post cruise picture of the pooch, for our convenience, of course.
  11. That must be the same logistics person not getting hash browns delivered to the ship. ETA see this already pointed out.
  12. Wanting to know what Mrs. Schmoopie's take is on the mostly don't do it feedback? We did it once on DCL with nearly family group. Grandparents knew and ok. Kids and grandkids fine with it, actually excited. Did violate a couple of my nos, no DCL and no three night cruise. Such a good time I think we have six DCL done but with current prices, no.
  13. Actually think it is like poster ernieroller or similar of Norway posts.
  14. As I told MKing, those are just spare parts for the ship but on deck not to take up valuable stores. The trinity is clearly a propeller for one of the pods.
  15. Should also mention there are a ton of picture books in the lounge and we even had many in the room.
  16. Note that is a big, wide door. Coming back into Haven it isn't super well marked. Cruise, did you have the ghost sink in the outer sink area by Haven restaurant where water would just randomly start running?
  17. Well, one year later, apparently nothing has changed. The overall vibe and experience you describe is what we felt and encountered. I almost wonder if staff has attitude they are on the fancy new ship so they are 'better' and go their own way. I can tell you if the CN guy worked for me he'd be out of a job. We only went to Hudson's once for lunch. Got seated right away but service took forever. I could see Officer watching us for quite awhile then he came over to apologize. Unlike UK, we saw very few senior staff about. I do have a question. On the steak and seafood night I see steak, shrimp, fish, and hot dogs. Which category do the dogs fit into? I will say again the ship IMO is beautiful with upscale feel and some creative venues. Execution another thing. Some areas get slammed like atrium, OL, Indulge but we were on a cold sailing so not much outside used.
  18. What a blast from the past. Reminds me of the guy who posts of the Norway. Think that is Ed something.
  19. I can't recall details but Commodore usually quiet on our sailing as was Belvedere. Only reason we know is the elevators back there. It is kind of a dead end area. Saw more crew training and events than dining. Which ship on MSC? I may have missed something on the newer ships but I don't think any duplex have two bedrooms. Ground floor basically sofa bed, bathroom, table, balcony. Stairs to upstairs with bed, bathroom, and walk in closet. We had one in February for just me and Mrs. Schmoopie, no, that not her, meant DW and we loved it. We were able to social distance by a whole floor. It was a YC room although outside the YC proper.
  20. We sailed POA when it was new in 2006. Train wreck. Sailed again in 2016 and pretty good. Some things a bit different. One example you can't order Cagney's for breakfast or lunch room service. Pizza in buffet at wood oven very good.
