Cannot enter Credit Card on online Check-in
slidergirl replied to slidergirl's topic in Holland America Line
Good to know I'm not alone. I'm going to try it at work today - dell computer, Microsoft (ugh), and chrome browser. I used to system test software for a living - so much stuff out there now just isn't tested enough and it drives me crazy. No reason for bad software. -
I've tried doing the online check in using Safari and my Navigator app. I can do everything except do the "Add Card" under the Onboard Account dropdown. I select "Add Card",put in my name. But, card number does not allow me to type in a number. and, then I can enter the expiration date. Any idea what is going on? I guess I can always call to get it added, but it's a PIA.

Bummer. If I were Queen of the World, I'd make the weather for you and Hank sunny and pleasant for the rest of your cruise time. And, I'm make it stop snowing up here at home. Since it's still snowing today, you can guess my status...ð -
How Are You Dealing With Air Fares Before Cruises
slidergirl replied to mcrcruiser's topic in Cruise Air
I just book and don't look at fares again. It's too much to keep looking for a $2 decrease. -
How many days until your next cruise??? Part 2
slidergirl replied to Host Kat's topic in Ask a Cruise Question
4 days until I'm done with work for the Winter Season. 14 days until I fly. 15 days until I board. -
Would you pay $4 million to buy a lifetime cruise cabin?
slidergirl replied to ontheweb's topic in Ask a Cruise Question
My hair stylist had a long-time client who had a cabin on the Residensea. She get to use it from time to time as a "gratuity" from her. -

Or a K-car, a nice reliant automobile. (one of favorite songs!) -
Cocoa Beach/Port Canaveral doesn't have the flooding, but it has the totally nasty and smelly sargassum washing up on the beaches now.

I may take a couple of the necklaces on the cruise. It's that old hippie look!! If you want to look, the company is "Melody Vintage Jewelry". Purple - there are two stores in NC that sell her stuff - Ziabird in Wilmington and All Through the House in Winston-Salem. Some of the pieces could be up your alley, too! The coat doesn't close - I need about 3" less bust for that, but it looks really cool left open. I have 3 jackets at home that were designed to sit open, too, so it fits right on. They all said it goes right with what I had on today...It's about mid-thigh length. Now, if she could bring some of her stuff back from Italy for me ð

Hi from snowy Park City. Yes, it's snowing again. I have to say, today was a great day to come to work. My owner (who also owns the villa in Tuscany) had a free "yard sale" for us in her unit. They are renovating it this summer so she was giving away a bunch of stuff. I have no room in my house for really anything, but I did take a new Keurig machine and a pair of metalwork crows (I have some other metalwork animals so they'll be at home). BUT, then she brought out me a coat and wanted to know if it would fit - it did! It's about a $500 coat. THEN, she brought down to the desk some beautiful necklaces from a vintage designer she knows. I was looking up some of it and she gave me close to $800 worth!!!!! It was like Christmas in April. I wish she was giving away the one fedora she brought with her this time - I coveted it the last time she was here. It was custom done for her at some fancy hat place in Nashville - probably a good $1000. I have some photos of my footwear I'm trying to decide on, but they are on my phone and I can't copy them here. I'll post when I get home. OOTD: black jeans, pink & white stripe Tshirt, jean jacket, pink hightops. The fedora would go great with this outfit ðĪŠ

I would have preferred a nice "thank you" instead. $2 is an insult. I keep trying to give them to people when they ask for change, but they decline. I may have pay cash at the grocery store and feed them into the register to get rid of them ðđ

I'm not one for sitting in the cabin, either. And, it could get a little chilly sitting out on my balcony. I'd rather sit in a bar/lounge and listen to the ambient "noise". I can make a vodka rocks last a long time... -
I'm down to my last 4 work days - Friday through Monday. It's another bittersweet feeling - happy to have the Summer off but I'll miss the owners. One told me the other day that I "class the place up." I doubt it the way that I dress, but some of my "professional" behavior I learned at my Forbes classes still hangs around. I didn't pick out my rain shell yet. There was a big mudslide on the interstate that closed down the eastbound traffic so that I'd have no way to get back. And, then it's supposed to snow tomorrow and I hate driving the interstate in the snow. I have all of next week to do it. Lois - good to hear you are having a good time. sorry it was windy & chilly, though. I don't know enough about Greek or Turkish food to give you any food challenges!!

Between Cynthia and Hank talking about the lack of nighttime activity, I guess I had better stock up on my music and kindle books before my Alaska trip!!! I'm an up-until-midnight person, thanks to my work schedule. -
Emma. Been there, enjoyed the pizza and they had Brunello by the glass.

I'm the one who got the $2. I've also received (along with my co-workers) refrigerator magnets from one guy who thought they were an appropriate tip to remind us that he came from Annapolis, MD. Of course, in front of a guest, we smile and gush our appreciation for such a unique tip. In the back office, we say what a cheap twit he is and toss the magnets in the trash can. Chocolate - at one time I was actually allergic to it. As a personal tip, it sucked. Giving a box to the staff NOT ATTACHED TO A TIP was nice. We had a few of those (Georgia pecans, a box of Chobani yogurt from a Chobani exec, cookies from Levain in NYC, etc. But, they were never delivered as part of a tip. take the money you paid for that Hershey bar and give it to the staff as part of an extra tip!! They won't have to fake the appreciation and will be able to send it to their kids for college ð

I received a couple of $2 this winter at my Lodge from some yahoo. $2 won't even buy me a cup of coffee up here - chocolate sure won't do it, either.

I like that one, too. But I prefer The Uprising and the plain Red Blend. can't beat the prices.

Only 1 night in Seattle unfortunately. And, for some reason, sushi got to the top of my list this time. Usually, it's oysters.
