  1. Cheaper to buy it when you book. There often specials where drink packages and wi fi are included as part of the package at a discount rate ( as compared if purchased separately). ANd no, everyone in the cabin has to have a beverage package. All the adults have to have the same level and the kids have to have the kids package if the adults purchase a package. All this info and what is included in each package is on the MSC website
  2. I had to call to purchase the airport transfer from the cruise port to the airport. Now granted this is for Miami, but the customer service rep said it was to ensure there was enough time from disembarkation to flgiht time. For Miami they wanted at least 4 hors.
  3. All the discounts are on the MSB web page https://www.msccruisesusa.com/cruise-deals
  4. I was also able to book specialty dining pre cruise using dining credits
  5. Probably should have asked earlier, but how was the safety drill done on embarkation? (loving the review by the way)
  6. https://www.msccruisesusa.com/on-board/dining-drinks/drinks-packages
  7. And thats when you also pick your embarkation time? About 30 days out? Because I don't see anything like that in the medallion ap.
  8. yes sir I know its due then, but when will the form become available to print up so I can fill it out 24 hours prior to sailing?
  9. I have looked and do not see any printable health questionare for me to print and fill out. Will this become available closer to the cruise date? We are 60 days out. Thanks ya'll! Baf
  10. Dear Sir, First of all I want to thank you for bringing your product to America. We REALLY enjoy the European influence. Please don't become "Americanized". If we wanted Carnival, RCL or Norwegian, we would book with them. I do have on request tho. We frequently travel with extended family. As such, we naturally want to dine together, especially our evening meals. My husband and I enjoy good wines so always upgrade to the upper tier drinks package. Please change the policy requiring all diners traveling together to have the same level drinks package to dining together. ( I do understand the need for having the same package if in the same cabin) My one niece is a recovering alcoholic and as such purchases the adult alcohol free beverage package. It should not affect her ability to dine with the rest of our family. Thank You!
  11. Our extended family of 12 ( 6 adults and 6 kids-ages 2-12) will be on this ship April 9-16. Looking forward to your review!
  12. Can any recent cruisers verify if the "rule" whereas everyone at the same dining table has to have the same drink package is being enforced? Thanks in advance! Baf
  13. I just upgraded my easy+ to premium and there was not any increase in price.
  14. I never had the option of upgrading either. I kept calling and calling. Today, I FINALLY got someone who knew what they were doing. My booking was linked with my 2 nieces. All 3 of us had the easy+ package. It woulnd't let me upgrade unless all 3 cabins upgraded at the same time. The rep unlinked my bookings from the other 2 and -VOILA- the option to upgrade my drinks package showed up in about a minute. Since I booked a solo cabin, it will be very easy for me to "show up" and request a dining time/room change to theirs if need be. Oh, BTW, I was able to upgrade for $140 for a 7 day cruise. The price increase had not hit the upgrades yet.
  15. I disagree. I will tip extra for exceptional service, no matter what the venue.
  16. There is always a charge at Venchi for gelato, coffee, anything. I thought there is a time span where it is complimentary ( during lunch?) at the buffet. I seem to remember that from last Jan. 2022
  17. You will find MANY opinions on this matter, both pro and con. But as long as one is polite about it, tipping is a personal choice IMHO. Basic tips are included ( and we NEVER remove those- EVER) and we do tip extra for those we think go above their basic duties. That includes those bartenders/wait staff that service those places we frequent.
  18. On my Jan 22 cruise on the Seashore, I had ( or thought I had) pre-purchased 3 funpasses for for my 2 nieces and nephew. Well it ended up all 3 were loaded on MY sail/sign card, not theirs. MSC would not transfer the funpasses to their cards. I ended up losing a large portion because I was not with them the entire time. I was not a happy camper, but chalked it up to a learning experience. I now know better and am going on my second MSC cruise ( Seaside) this April.
  19. I always tip a cpl dollars with every order too. I really have ever had a problem on any cruise line with drink packages and have always had prompt service. Yea I know extra tipping is a touchy subject but I tip because I can afford it and they work damn hard, not to get better service...
  20. I have 26 crises on Carnival, Viking, Princess and Disney and MSC has the BEST room service coffee I have ever had on a cruise. I also take advantage of cappuccinos from the bar as well as Venti ( the Venti is additional fee- but oh so good!)
  21. I like limoncello in prosecco. The bar just charges me for 2 drinks. Never had an issue with it. BUT, I have never been cut off for over indulging either....
  22. This is our first Princess cruise ( Alaska on the Royal Princess May 6, 2023). and for the life of me can't find our embarkation times. Do they get assigned to us? If so, when? Or do I need to call and ask for one? We are flying in a day early but just wanted to know when to arrive at the cruise port. Thanks so much! baf
  23. I dunno, Guess I'm easy to please. AS long as the food is decent, the cabins/public areas are kept clean and there is some type of entertainment, I'm happy. I have sailed Disney, Carnival, Princess, Viking and my upcoming April cruise is my second on MSC. I like the differences between the lines. The same-same is boring IMHO.
