Thanks. I just went through this with AA, and they were firm that the new flight must begin within 1 year of original purchase, although the return was not restricted. I did get them to extend the FCC date by 6 months because of a critical emergency.
Good question, but I suspect, without any data or facts 🥸, that the French Balconies are not meant to be kept open for ant extended period of time.
There is a similar issue with the Nordic Balconies on Viking's Expedition ships.
Actually, there is more involved than simply the A/C. The cabins and halls are set to have a pressure barrier that keeps the hall air from leaking into the room. When a window or door is opened, that barrier is removed. There were lots of discussions about this on CC during the height of the pandemic.
What you are describing is a Guaranty room, not a wait listed. It means (in principle) that you will get a room at the level of the Guaranty or better. Waitlist means you have no room and are dependent on someone canceling in the stateroom category you are wait listed.
Generally you have to take OLife to get the SBC, but not the air. However, the cost of the SBC is simply added to the cruise only fare, so there is no net savings.
Ours has been able to change our booking to include sales, but you can lose any special incentives as there are some exclusions. The best is to ask your TA to price out the difference and see if you would benefit from the sale.
The price on the menu posted on this thread shows all the wines that are offered by the glass and lists the non-package price. So, there are no red wines offered less than $14 per glass. As you noted, there is an additional 20% gratuity added on to the listed prices. That's the amount added to your onboard account.
The wines listed are those that are available with or without the package; there are no different wines by the glass offered in either case.
Are you asking about pre cruise with SBC, or onboard with SBC? I don't know whether the Prestige package can be purchased with SBC, but generally SBC can be used to pay for anything charged to account while onboard.
There is no charge for specialty restaurants.
