  1. Yeah I'm one those, TV on with low music playing overnite in my Cabin
  2. Which Ship and Cruise? 3 Ships I been on last yr was about 28 channels also showing few showing Movies, Sitcoms, Drama series with Star Trek type or Blue Bloods, Music Channels, Animal Planet type shows, Travel, and yes the 6 RCCL Channels, couple Sports the same 3 News channels they've had for yrs. PreCV they'd show the Movies that are shown in Theaters and on Pool Deck in the Cabin all day and nite, do miss that. Dont think going Change from this. Most use Internet and Kids their Tablets. At least the Signal is 100% better now, got off 26nite B3B and think only had Internet slow/stop my streaming 2-3 times and was only for couple min. I remember when there was no TV in the Cabin and no Internet. Had our Daughter 9 months later
  3. Change my bed every 3rd day, like clean fresh sheets. Once I wasnt 100% sure on a 16n & 13n B2B that they were changed enough times during my Cruise, no midcruise service done on either, I now do tiny mark on corner of bottom sheet just make sure. Since then did catch one Attendant not giving me a single linen change on a 13n Repo. Happened on a Cruise that my Balcony door leaked wetting my carpet, ended up with REALLY good $$$$ FCC for that one, paid for my next 2 Cruises. Back in 80s-90s Royal changed them every day.
  4. Last 3 Royal Ships I was on they had us use the regular paper laundry bag. Holds twice as much and doesn't rip like the old wash/fold bags. Hope this is permanent change
  5. Likely little later, but keep watching on here for when actual Dates will be
  6. Instead of multiple self serve Laundry rooms Royal make lot more money having Cabins in those spaces, not to mention the charging for full service Laundry. This way more profitable with no safety issue or time manning/maintaining/servicing the machines.
  7. Agree, last few Cruises nothing on App and no one at Terminal asked my Heath. Only do B2B and longer and havent had to show up to Lifeboat Station except first sailing...
  8. Wish I'd been on more the old Classic smaller Ships, were too expensive back in the 80's living on my US Army pay. Irony is what I pay now for 14-16nite Radiance Class Panama Canal Cruise in a Balcony Cabin is still cheaper then in 1980's on Sovereign doing a 7nite in an OV Cabin
  9. Same. First Mega-Size Cruise Ship and at time Worlds Largest Cruise Ship. Was on Sovereign 36+ yrs ago, looking down on those tiny 10-20K GT Carnival, NCL and Princess "Love Boat" size ships
  10. Sometimes when Liquor Sales are down they will add a Bucket of Beer sale or Punch Card but typically only to meet Quota in Alcohol Sales. Also with Internet a one day or Prorated but still going pay more then preCruise purchase. Like Renting a Car, A high 3-4 Days and 7 Days end up being about same price
  11. My Daughter was on long Repo Cruise with me 2yrs ago, she came down with a Cold with similar Covid like Symptoms. They had her stay in Cabin for couple nites, CV neg tests each day and gave her pretty good credit for her time was like 30 something hrs but money back was for 4days. We pretty much knew she didnt have it, we all had CV 3months before that(catching it on Cruise), this was just mild Cold 99 Fever. Along with free room service off Menu worked out ok... Then Noro, had it once really bad 10yrs ago catching it from my 1yr old Grand Daughter, was down for 5days. was living in long term hotel for a yr and just laid on cool bathroom floor. One those things couldn't drive myself, should have had Ambulance take me in to ER but was so miserable no way could stand the ride... Well 7 more hrs this Cruise ends, should probably got to bed
  12. Minor outbreak, happens. This is a longer Sailing with 10 Sea Days which makes spread more possible. Look at it this way the Ship is now 100% cleaner then a Regular Sailing. Been onboard for 3weeks now, no issue and no worries. Oh and actual announcement was last week
  13. Agree, did my first B2B 23yrs ago, haven't done anything less since.
  14. Yes, send Request but also confirm after Boarding. I always walk to my Table right away, only once was it not what I requested/needed but sure glad I caught it at noon instead of 5pm
  15. As already said 2-3weeks at most, request isn't reviewed by Ship until then and if further out more likely get lost or even changed again. Unfortunately confirmations less likely last 2 yrs, also use to get Key/Map showing Table and location in Dining room
  16. My Grand Daughter found over 50 of them on Radiance last Canal Cruise, on this Cruise seen 2 but I'm not actually on lookout for them
  17. Was on last Fall's Radiance PC and Ducks were overkill, one Passenger alone said she brought 200 to spread around. They are Kinda rare on this sailing...
  18. Pitch Dark by time we got threw last 3 Locks on 2 of my 4 Panama Canal Sailings, made for nice night time shots. Though as said was coolest cloudiest I've seen so heat wasnt much issue this on this sailing. Passengers lining up before 6am waiting 5hrs get threw first set and total 14 total hrs made for long day for some.
  19. Every other time I've gone threw the Canal WJ was open early at 6am, but was interesting watching hundreds getting there Helipad spot early too have such a long wait. Different being after Lunch by time we got threw first set Locks.
  20. Agree. Did one in 7.5 hrs, this one was long beautiful day inc low Sun and Temps
  21. Weird leaving Colon then Cruising over 100 Kt Miles to the Canal
  22. ...meant say we are still going away to the "Northeast" of Canal, over 40km out and still going at 10kts
  23. Last 2 Canal Cruises in 2023 and 2022 we went and parked. Looks like into the nite we are still moving miles away and not Parking. Still going to Northwest and already over 30km out, might putter along most the nite. But we went through canal at 6am previous, dont think supposed start as early tomorrow
  24. Yeah even that wasnt too bad, done about a dozen Cruises out of Boston, can get real Choppy and Ship going 22kts in that doesnt help. Use to Cruise Labor Day week every yr, had 4 named storms/Hurricanes on one Cruise alone. Churned up the waters as we came behind them. This on Sovereign a REAL rough ride. Saw lot people in Wheel Chairs, on Crutches, wrists bandaged up next few days. We had The Monkees performing that yr. Saw Peter Tork in WindJammer with Sea Sick patches behind his ears and wrist bands. He looked really green
