  1. These menus remind me of the menus of when I first started cruising. Every night was a different nationality/theme night. Every night was a different menu and no repeats during the week
  2. At Park n Go at Port Everglades I have always paid when I booked. There is an option to pay there and the cost is more. I have had to cancel a few reservations in the last couple of years, within a few days I have always had my refund to my credit card.
  3. Yes, 1 point for interior through balcony staterooms 2 points for junior suite and above. If going solo add an additional point per night.
  4. First Royal Caribbean cruise Sun Viking 1983, Sovereign 1988, 1991, 1996, Majesty 1994, 2000,, 2002, Legend 2004, Empress 2005 & 2019, Monarch 1998 & 2006. When we went on the Empress in 2019 it reminded me of when we started cruising. It was a great ship.
  5. Before covid you were unable to get a price drop after final payment or on obc. When they restarted cruising they were giving price drops after final payment. Now that cruising is back to normal they went back to no price drops after final payment.
  6. The Holiday Inn Express near the Miami airport did have a park & cruise option a few years ago. We parked up to 14 nights. Also I have parked at Safe Cruise Parking in Miami, the most we have done was 8 nights. I am sure you can book for 14 nights. I live in Fort Myers glad you are okay, but understand what you are going through.
  7. At the time I wrote this I didn’t have the Set Sail pass. But I do now and use the Apple Wallet to see where our stateroom is.
  8. We are still waiting for our November 7th cruise. As of today there isn’t a sea pass. This is our first time doing a guarantee, we couldn’t pass on the price.
  9. We booked our 1st guarantee balcony. Check in was 9/23 and as of today I still do not have a set sail pass. It says it can’t show the set sail pass and proceed to the check in counter at the port. Driving me crazy. I am not worried about location it is only a 4 night cruise and it was a ridiculously low price.
  10. We have stayed in connecting staterooms and never heard anything from the connecting room.
  11. We were on the Jewel in April and we were supposed to receive our block. There was a notice in our cabin that there were none on the ship and to fill out the form to be mailed to us. As of today we haven’t received. I called the Crown & Anchor desk they are still on back order and shows we should be getting one sent to us. They couldn’t give me a time frame.
  12. I am going to say no, because they would not the able to accommodate everyone that brings their luggage on. Also they would not want to be responsible for it. You will have to have bring your luggage with you until the staterooms are ready.
  13. We were on the Symphony in May. We had MTD at 7:30 every day for 6 of us. We had the same table all week. We did not have to wait to be seated and our table was always ready. I think early seating was 5:15-5:30 and late was 8:30.
  14. My first cruise in 1980 with two girlfriends in an inside cabin. I slept on the pull down berth. We also had conversations with our neighbors through the wall.
  15. I have used my husband’s card for drinks and was never questioned.
  16. The 5 drinks per day is post covid that can be used anytime and most bars on the ship. They do not carry over to the next day. Pre covid it was 3 drinks and had to be used during the happy hour.
  17. Points are awarded after the cruise has been completed. So you will be Platinum on your next cruise.
  18. We were in a junior suite on the Jewel in April. We did have robes, but I don’t know if it is because of our loyalty benefits. But as said above if there are not any robes ask your stateroom attendant they will probably get one for you.
  19. It was a big deal when you made diamond back then, we reached diamond level in 2000. I am not sure when they added diamond plus I think around 2006, that is when we reached it. They really did make you feel special back then. We are still working on getting to Pinnacle 😀
  20. We also have been Diamond Plus for a long time, since 2006. It was a big deal back then. We have been going on at least one cruise or more since 2000 and have been cruising with Royal since 1983. Flying to Florida was an all day affair from Las Vegas. Most of the cruises are 7 nights in balconies and only a couple in junior suites. We did get a few cruises in under the double point promotion so it did help us get a few more points. As of now we have less than 100 points to Pinnacle, but will still probably take a couple of years. We are happy with what we receive as Diamond Plus.
  21. I have called the Crown & Anchor desk a few times since February and only waited a couple of minutes. They have changed my gifts in a matter of minutes.
  22. Since we received our first block in 2009 for 30 cruise credits, we will be only on our 8th block when we get to Pinnacle.
  23. When we reach Pinnacle we will get our 8th block. Blocks started at 30 cruise credits and every 10 cruise credits before they converted to the point per night system January 2011.
  24. First cruise NCL Skyward in 1980 with two girlfriends in an inside cabin. Second cruise on Royal Sun Viking 1983 with the same two friends in an inside cabin. Really fell in love with cruising when the world’s largest cruise was built in 1988 the Sovereign of the Seas. Since 1998 my husband and I have cruised at least once a year.
