  1. Only know of… http://puertoricanart-crafts.com It’s in OSJ
  2. As an aperitif, consider a Rhum/Rum sour, no eggs, no fruit, with an overproof lid.
  3. Check on a minute by minute with “Live” Beach Cam….. it appears there is weed.. https://www.portstmaartenwebcam.com
  4. Yes….. Inside is the Official Tourist Office, where one is potentially able to purchase group and private tours from official/registered operators only. Be warned, popular official group tours (priced accordingly) sell out fast prior to one’s arrival, potentially leaving only private tours, with the usual price variances. Best to consider purchasing a tour prior to arrival to avoid any possible disappointment. The drivers being unlicensed, unregulated and without any price controls, do congregate outside the dock gates, being ‘herd enthusiastic’ to anyone to ventures outside on foot. Unlicensed and unregulated drivers are not allowed to enter the port area. There is strong enforcement port security at the gates.
  5. To assist… link to Menus (tap on Menus with a dropdown to Wine etc) https://www.hhbh.com/ocean-lounge Enjoy
  6. One’s personal favourite….. https://www.oceanloungesxm.com Request the Chef’s very “Special Seafood Platter” in advance for 2 to share when booking. Also, their wine list is exceptional, with a Montrachet to complement the Platter.
  7. Drop them a missive…. https://sheer-rocks.com/contact-sheer-rocks/ They will be exact, understanding and kind
  8. For us it depends on our criteria. Arriving prompt, opening door for my DW, loading suitcases, nice company, good driving, arriving happy and relaxed. If all of the above then €50 total, but if not one single criteria, then €10 total just for getting us there.
  9. US$10 per cab - plus tip - 3 pax - maximum of 10 minutes
  10. Wreck/s? No beds or amenities etc, with a driver as a guide/security? 12 years ago? Sounds like Whitehouse Bay….
  11. No idea on time zones etc., but the island only operates on it’s own “Island Time” not a random USA city time.
  12. Yes it’s doable….. yes it’s low season - Ferry to Pinel timetable link - https://www.caribbeanpaddling.com/blog/ferry-schedule-to-pinel-island Plenty of taxis from to Ferry from Port and from Ferry to Port. And one’s outward driver will be pleased for a timed booking for on’s return. Even visiting in low season, it’s better to book one’s beds/ day in advance with Yellow Menu - https://www.yellowbeach.restaurant/menu Or Karibuni Menu - https://www.lekaribuni.com/restaurant/menu
  13. Food, ambience, food (top end) and drinks (great variety of Rum/Rhum) are superior to any other beach venue. The beds are more comfortable and the clientele are genteel. It’s a special place where one looks forward to returning. Take a look and see…. https://www.cocobeach.restaurant
  14. These should know…. If legitimate https://sanjuanpuertorico.com/visitors-information-tourism-offices/
  15. Another vote for EC….. With an ambience that takes a step back in time to OSJ
  16. To assist @crewsweeper - managed to find their Email in case booking is sought carmlake69@gmail.com
  17. Constant thoughts being “Crew” don’t pay an admission fee and it’s a short distance from ship. Therefore, very, very popular with (no pay) Crew and Pax walkers (no need for a cab). More ships in port equates to more Crew and more walkers of the Pax variety. If this is the potential vibe one wishes, then go ahead and book.
  18. Speak to one’s credit card company, requesting a Section 75, with full explanation why to CC. The CC will reverse the erroneous payment. One had a similar action, where Cunard charged one for WiFi (twice on last day), despite being a Diamond Member.
  19. Riestaurants? Then look at Sheer Rocks Catherine’s Cecelia’s
  20. La Concha - https://www.marriott.com/en-us/hotels/sjubr-la-concha-renaissance-san-juan-resort/overview/?scid=f2ae0541-1279-4f24-b197-a979c79310b0 Do consider a sea facing upper floor room.
  21. Plenty of cabs available at Cruise port and from ferry. Also, one’s outward driver will be happy to be time booked for the return to ship, or town. Price? Work on $30/35 per cab each way plus tip.
